The size I ordered was true to fit. Love, there is a pocket. Overall this dress is super cute.

I absolutely loved this dress. It runs true to size, and was tight at my hips but very comfortable otherwise. I received so many compliments on this dress. It's a gold dress, but as you can see here it does change with the lighting.

Fit and style were perfect. I'm extra busty, and this dress met my needs. The bag was a perfect addition to complete the look

This is probably the best dress I have ever rented. I loved it so much. I wore a push up bra to give more definition up top but otherwise the dress did the work for me. It's true when you sit down you'll feel the waist press in, but who cares! Finally, the pockets. I could not stop bragging about my pockets. I was able to fit not only my phone but a cable and external battery in there! Just hanging out in my perfect party dress which is charging my phone secretly in my pocket.

This was a replacement dress selected by Rent the Runway since my original dress wasn't available in time. It was slightly constricting where it cinches at the waist, though not to the point where it was difficult to move, breathe normally or eat plenty, though I don't have a lot of excess in that area! I didn't find the dress isn't overly shiny in person, which was a concern for me - the pattern is sophisticated but does catch the light in a delightful way. It hit me around the knees at my height. The fabric and shape was a bit "medieval" for my tastes - the flare of the dress was rather stiff. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable dress for dancing and dining.

I typically can wear either a 2,4, or 6 in dresses(depending on the style and designer of the dress). When i walked in RTR in Las Vegas, i spotted this dress and all they had was a 2.. but i had to have this dress! the details up close are so pretty and flattering for my fair skin. I tried it on and it fit perfectly like a glove! I am a 34B and it was a little snug in the top area, so the 4 would have probably been more comfortable, but it totally worked that night! I had so many compliments and it was the perfect choice for getting on stage in front of my whole company to accept an award.. not too short and not revealing at all. It even had pockets so i didn't carry a clutch that night. I will be renting this dress again! ** size up if you have a bigger bust and it was snug around the midsection so eating a big meal was out that night**

I wear a 32F so I ordered the 10 and 12. 10 was snug in the bust so I wore the 12 and it fits wonderfully! I'll def be renting this one again!!

I am normally a 6 and even sometimes a 4. 5'3" and 125 lbs. If I wear a larger size, it's to get more room in the hips. I have a small bust, narrow waist and small rib cage. This dress has a small waist. I wore the six, which looked nicer. The 8 gapped in the armholes. But it was really tight right at the waistline. I am also shortwaisted, which means the waist can hit in the wrong spot. Maybe a gal a bit taller than me would have found it okay.

I wore this dress for my company's annual dinner and it worked great for the occasion! The shine to it makes it look much fancier than just an a-line cocktail dress. I wore with simple black pumps and also wore a black cuff that isn't pictured here. I got a 6 and it was a little tight around the waist because the material has zero stretch but I am small chested (34B) and didn't want to go up a size in fear of the top being too large. It fit very well! I would definitely recommend this dress. Would be great for New Year's Eve too! Wish I could have kept for that occasion!

Attended a wedding in Vegas and rented this dress at the RTR location at the Cosmopolitan. This was the dress the stylist AND my husband liked best. It has a gold and black dot pattern that looks blingy enough for Vegas but appropriate for a formal occasion. It was comfortable with POCKETS, but a little snug in the chest since I'm a DD. In photos - the dress appears shiny and gold but in person it does not. I got a lot of compliments on the dress.

Loved the classic style of this dress! Very comfortable, easy to put on, sophisticated and fun, and it has pockets! Simple gold and black so easy to style for many occasions. Wore for a black tie work event for ny husband and felt elegant and comfortable! Never had a bad experience with RTR yet and this is probably my 6th or 7th rental due to my husband's work events.

My only criticism is in the description of the dress. It is definitely NOT silver. The jacquard fabric is gold with black and darker gold dots.

Just the right amount of sparkle for an outside, softly lit event. I was worried it would be gaudy but it was just right.

It was comfortable but when sitting the waistline was very tight around the ribcage.

Pretty! I sized up per reviews since the waist was reviewed as unforgiving and glad that I did. But because I sized up the top of the dress was too large for my smaller frame so the fit I would have preferred just didn't happen. Still got compliments!

Great fit, beautiful detailing and quality dress. Compliments all day and night. I rented this for an Indian wedding celebration and loved it! Highly recommend. It is a little tight in the rib cage, so back up should be one size bigger.

The fit was true to size; I am a fluffier size 6 who is a pear shape, so the A-line skirt with higher waistline was perfect for me. There is no give to the dress, so it could be unforgiving for those with a bigger bust or a wider torso. As others have mentioned, the inverted pleat in the front is tricky; I had to press it to try to get it back to where it needed to be, and the dress arrived with some creases in the hemline that I needed to press as well. The fabric is stiff, so that pleat will stick out a bit, but it's not a deal-breaker (and it would probably lay flatter on a smaller person). The pockets more than make up for it!

It was way below zero the night I was supposed to wear this to a schmancy holiday dinner party. The 4 fit well, but was tight across the ribcage. The 6 was OK, but a little loose around the armpits and bust—so I threw on a black turtleneck and patent leather belt, some black tights and tall black boots. Warm, cute outfit? A Christmas miracle!

This is my perfect dress. I've worn it now to a wedding, a party, and a high-level work event. It fits amazingly well, and I always get tons of compliments. I'm thrilled I took a chance and bought this dress from RTR!

I have a large bust (somewhere in the 36F range) and usually wear between a size 8 - 12. I bought this dress used from RTR in a 10, knowing it was final sale. There was a little give, but not too much. It was comfortable and glamorous all night long. After I wore it to a wedding, I gave it to another friend to wear, who is not the same size and dimensions as me, and it looked incredible on her, too. Versatile, gorgeous dress.

Rented for a work event. Great day-to-night dress. Pretty and attention-getting metallics, nice heavy rich fabric, ideal length. I wore it with black leggings and boots. Highly recommend.

I'm in between a 6 and an 8 in dress sizes and while the 6 fit me it was pretty snug in the midsection so I ended up wearing the 8 comfortably. I liked the thickness of the fabric but like others had said it did make the pleat in the front look a little funky at times but I just smoothed it out and went with it! It was also about 2 degrees outside so this looked fantastic with black tights and a cardigan! Unfortunatly I had such a good time I forgot to take pics! This is a dress I would rent again!

I ordered this dress as a backup just in case my first choice didn't work out and honestly debated about which to wear! This dress was very comfortable and even had pockets! The length was also great, especially for a short person!

I rented this for a wedding 5 weeks post partum. I usually wear a size 6 or 8 but wore a 10. That said, I think it probably fits true to size, but my breasts are much larger than usual and I am still hanging onto a few pounds in my midsection. Pre-pregnancy, I was 5'5", about 135 lbs and wore a 34C bra (although my weight and bra size have certainly gone up). The dress is gorgeous- the fabric is very rich and a little shiny (although not overly so). There isn't any stretch to it, though. So if you think you are between sizes, go up a size. The 8 almost fit me, but the dress is fairly fitted in the top, so I went with the 10. Overall, a great dress. I actually rented the same dress in a different color for another event!

The pockets were a great feature. I could tuck a few things in there that didn't fit in my clutch.

I loved the dress. It fit nearly perfectly, with the waist being just a little 'tight', in an otherwise completely comfortable dress. Honestly, I was still getting compliments days after wearing the dress. I went to a work party on January 2 and on January 5 I was still being told that my dress was fantastic. So, yes, the dress made an impression. I dressed for a party. Many people dressed like they were heading to work. I stood out a bit but I owned that part. On the bright side, I stood out for being overdressed rather than something embarrassing. It was a fantastic dress and I loved it.
