This was my backup dress style, but it was a much better fit because of the length. I wore 4 1/2 inch heels and it still skimmed the floor - even with a petite length. Overall, the dress was super comfortable, and I got lots of compliments! A perfect style for a symphony gala.

I opted to wear flats, as heels made the dress a bit shorter than I prefer. It pooled a tiny bit at my feet, but was otherwise a perfect fit. I loved it!

I technically fit in the 10, but the 12 was more comfortable. The length was perfect, I didn't wear heels though.

Good weight to the fabric so it hangs nicely. It's definitely long, so make sure to plan your shoes accordingly.

The sizes were limited by the time I ordered, so I could only get a 2P or 2L. I knew a regular 2 would probably fit well, and I hoped for the best with the long and petite. I wore the 2L with heels, and it fit perfectly. I would have preferred to wear a shorter heel with the regular length dress, and the petite was definitely too short. I wore a regular bra with the straps crossed. It was the perfect solution!

The dress fit perfect! It was so incredibly comfortable, and is true to size! My first experience with Rent the Runway and it was great!

The fit was spot on. I am 5'6" and wore 3" wedge heels with the 2L so my shoes were covered (what I wanted.) I held up the dress when I walked just to make sure I didn't step on it. Everyone I saw couldn't get over how beautiful the dress was. The cut was my favorite part, fitted in the torso with a flare past the hips. I felt like a princess. I didn't want to return the dress!

I am 5'7", 32C, runner body. The 2L was too long even with heels but the 4R was too loose in the chest and gapped under the arms. Perfect would have been 2R but I wore the 2L and just lifted on stairs. Color is actually a gray lace but loved it. Wore regular bra. Tons of compliments and felt great on.

I am 5'5'' snd weigh 130. Size 34 C, the size 4R fit perfectly. Maybe a little snug on the bust, but overall great fit.

I'm 5'6" and wanted to wear flats, so I ordered the 4 petite even though I never wear petite. (Back up size was a 6 regular.) The 4P fit perfectly and was exactly the right length for flats, so I went with it! The 6R was a good length for about 2" heels (although I noticed my heels caught in the lace a few times as I walked around). The chest and waist fit like a glove in the 4P. The 6R was slightly too big, but not so much so that anyone would have noticed if I'd worn it. I will say this definitely isn't a dress to conceal the tummy area if you're self-conscious about that part of your body. Overall, excellent experience!

This fit me perfectly and was a great length w/ 3 in heels (5'5", 140lbs with a smallish bust). I got a 6 as the alternate but didn't need it at all. The lace set it apart from the sea of black dresses without being too bright and crazy

I ended up wearing the back-up style rather than this dress, but that's because I loved the second option so much. This dress is gorgeous, and would work perfectly for a formal function. The zipper works smoothly. It fits to size, though the 8P was a bit shorter than I'd like since I'm 5'8 and was wearing 2-3 inch heels. In the picture, I'm wearing the 10R size. The length was great and it didn't feel big. So, I would say the 8P fits to size, but the 10R runs small, since it didn't feel loose.

This dress was so comfortable. I didn't need Spanx of any kind, and was able to wear a regular bra. I wore the long only because the regular wasn't available in the 12 for my rental period. With 3 in heels it was just a little too long, but I wasn't tripping over it all night. I may have even been able to wear flats with the regular. Gorgeous dress and has a very flattering fit!

If you plan to wear heels, consider ordering a Long if you are over 5’6”... I️ would have had to go buy flats for this dress had we been able to attend. The fit was perfect, if you are smaller on top do not order a size up, it fits very true to size. Perfect for a black tie event.

I wore this to a black tie soiree and loved it. The dress ran a little long so I wore 4" heels (I'm 5'4") which were perfect. I received tons of compliments and felt amazing. This was actually my backup dress but it was safe from wardrobe malfunctions on the dance floor ;) It was a little tight in the midsection seam sitting down, but otherwise perfect. I did wear a stick on bra since the straps of a regular bra showed a little. I would highly recommend this dress.

This dress is amazing! I wore it to a black tie event and got endless compliments on it. I ordered the 4R and 6R, both actually fit but the 4R was a little more form fitting in the chest which I liked. I liked that the cut of the dress allowed me to wear a regular bra because no one likes having to deal with strapless bras ever. Overall, it's made very well. The dress arrived in generally good condition for the exception of a few pulls in the fabric that were probably only noticeable to me. Would definitely rent this dress again!

Loved this gown from Erin Fetherson! The wedding I wore this to was not Black tie but more formal and this dress was perfect for it. The dress fits true to size but is more fitted in the waist. I was between the 0 and the 2. I went with the 0 but by the end of the night it was a little tight around the waist. The 2 had a little more room to play with but did look too big for me around the waist. If you want a more fitted look definitely size down. One small con is that the dress is a little long. I wore a pretty high heel so I was okay but did get caught stepping on the back a lot throughout the night. The overlay lace was my favorite part about this dress. It was so classic and just the right amount. Although you can't appreciate the lace in the pictures it is very pretty in person!

My husband was a groomsmen in a black tie wedding so I ordered the dress to complement his tux and I absolutely loved the dress! I'm only 5'1" so I was very worried about the length being too long but the petite was just the right length with a 3.5" heel. I received compliments on it all night! My husband even said he was sad to send the dress back!

The photos don't do this dress justice. It is classy, fits like a glove on top and flows at the bottom. I loved how it flowed when I walked. I am 5'3"/110 pounds and wore the 0P with 3.5" heels (the 0R pooled too much on the floor and would have been a tripping hazard). I occasionally caught my heel in the lace when standing up from a sitting position. Received tons of compliments on this dress. It is definitely a winner!

I wore this dress to a gala and received at least 15 compliments on it. Very comfortable and flattering dress. I am nearly 6'0 tall and the 12L was long enough with flats. I would absolutely rent this dress again.

My daughter (14) wore this for a formal event (like the Tonys but for high school theatre). She's 5'8" and about 105 pounds and the 0L was perfect. Zipper seemed to have a flaw and was a bit difficult to zip. Other than that, no issues.

Perfect fit for me. Length was fine with three inch heels.

At 5'4 I was afraid this would be too long, but some 2" heels made the length no problem. It was easy to eat, dance, and takes beautiful photos. The dress has no stretch, but is very open through the hips and waist, making it very comfortable. My only note would be that the lace overlay is more of a very dark grey, not black.

This dress was perfect for a black tie gala. The fit was perfect, very comfortable and you could wear a regular bra which is always a plus. The only thing that was a slight con would be that you couldn't wear very tall heels with the dress or your feet would be fully exposed. Other than that this dress is perfect and be prepared for lots of compliments.

The dress is very flattering. I wore 4" heals since the petite was not available and that was ok. If you look at the model, the dress was pooling on the floor. I will rent this one, again, in a heartbeat. I wore a regular bra but used a fastener to keep the straps from showing.

The bust was a little too big for me but you could hardly tell. Perfect length with a 3.5 inch heel. Love love love this dress. Would highly recommend!

I was actually three months pregnant when I wore this dress, and there was just enough fabric to be flattering but still show my tiny bump. I wore this for a work gala and received compliments all night. Fit flawlessly. It was very comfortable and I didn't have to worry about a thing, even as I was running all over the building working the event all night. Would definitely recommend!

It was a little tight around the arm pit area and ribs but a size 4 was too baggy so I stuck with a size 2. I was about 132lbs at this event, 34D, 5'5. The length was perfect with low heals. I wore this to our company's awards show and I was able to sit and eat comfortably. The only thing to be aware of, as with all long dresses, is if you're going to be scooting out your chair to be careful not to get the dress caught on the chair.

Arrived promptly and fit perfectly! So pleased.
