I absolutely LOVED this dress. The length was perfect, and I loved the peek-a-boo mini under the maxi. The mini is VERY short, so if you aren't comfortable showing a lot of leg I wouldn't recommend this one. I would absolutely wear it again.

This dress was even more amazing in person. I loved the pattern and the fit. This was a great dress to wear to a wedding as it was so comfortable. Like everyone else is saying, the slip did not even cover my butt but luckily since I knew that beforehand i had black spanx shorts I wore underneath and you couldn't even tell the difference. The dress is super flowy and long, so I wore a cool gold chain belt to sinch it and it looked awesome. I got compliments on all my pictures on facebook. Also a great option for someone with a bigger bust.

I wore this to an evening black-tie wedding. I was initially concerned that it would not be dressy enough, but after putting it on my fears were allayed. The slip underneath IS short, but I did not think it was an issue. I am 5' 7'' and about 128 lbs, somewhat curvy with hips. The length runs a little short - I wore 2 inch heels and was fine, could not have worn heels any higher without wearing the long. I received compliments ALL night. I felt very glamorous and stylish. It was so comfortable to dance in as well. I didn't want to return it!

This dress looked even better on than it did online! The fit is true to size. I usually wear a 0, sometimes a 2, and the 0 fit perfectly. The slip is short like other reviewers stated. If I had bent over, I might have been at risk of showing the goods. With that said, I didn't think it was too short. I was going to buy some ribbon and cinch the waist, but didn't have time. The dress looks amazing either way. I wore 4" heels and the length was perfect. Way too many compliments to count :)

I knew the slip was going to be short based on the reviews I read but ordered anyway. I work black control top undies and felt comfortable about not lengthening the slip. I did get a few comments that I was showing A LOT of leg........... I loved the way the silk flowed when I walked and danced. I did lift the dress while I walked so I wouldn't trip on it as I am six feet tall and wore the 10 Long. Boy was it long! The neckline was super comfortable and I didn't wear a bra. The cut is flattering but I do think you should be tall and slender to rock this particular style.

This dress flows beautifully. I got compliments every time I left my table. The fit was perfect. I am 5'3" So I wore 4 inch heels at the ceremony and it was perfect. For the reception I wore flats but it was so easy to hold in between 2 fingers I didn't mind having to do so.It also flowed beautifully when i walked because I was holding it up. One woman even asked how she could order it for her own rehearsal dinner! The best part of this night was that my boyfriend chose this gown for me and loved seeing me in it.

I wore this dress to a beach wedding and it was perfect. It was fun and flirty, but still very elegant. This dress worked really well on my curvy figure. It made me feel tall and lean and statuesque. Despite the attached slip being short, I did not feel like it was too revealing. There is enough of the dark overlay fabric that the sheerness was not a problem at all. Highly recommend this gorgeous dress.

The dress was gorgeous and I got so many compliments! I belted it for some extra shape and it ended up being the perfect length with some high heels. I wish I could keep it!

I was not expecting it to run as large as it did. I ordered the 12 but the 10 would have fit better I'm sure. I cinched it in with a belt though, and it looked perfect! However, I had to be very careful because of how short the slip underneath is, especially since I have a bit of a booty.

I wore this dress for a black tie wedding at the Four Seasons, and received compliments on it all night. I was also five-and-a-half months pregnant at the time, and a lot of people didn't even realize I was expecting -- that's how flattering and gorgeous this dress is. Now, for the one major flaw: The size 2L fit me perfectly, but the slip that's attached underneath was so ridiculously short that it didn't even make it halfway over my tush! The slip for the size 4L was the appropriate length (mid thigh), but the rest of the dress was way too big for me -- I looked like I was swimming in all that fabric. I ended up wearing the size 2, but buying a half slip that I pulled over the too-short slip that was attached to the dress. Not the most comfortable option, but my quick-fix solution worked and no one was the wiser.

The dress is gorgeous. However, the slip underneath it is very very short. I have a bottom, not hippy, but it was insanely short. I was self conscious because I felt my bottom was going to peek out at any moment, but it was a stunning dress.

While I absolutely loved wearing (and dancing in!) this dress for a wedding at a flower conservatory and restaurant reception, I will warn anyone considering this option that the dress underneath is EXTREMELY short, as in it barely covered my butt. So much so that I had to purchase a tight skirt slip (thanks Spanx) to layer underneath it so I wouldn't be exposing anything indecent. That bit felt a little shoddy for something that is supposed to be such an expensive dress, but with that taken care of I felt beautiful and really enjoyed wearing it. Other than the too short issue, it fits true to size, possible on the larger side--I wore the 12R, and normally wear a size 12 from most designer brands.

Didn't end up wearing this dress just because the event was going to be more formal than I had anticipated but luckily I had rented another dress that worked great. This dress fit fantastic though and I want to rent it again for a summer wedding!

This is such a cute dress. I wore this for a vacation beach day. Im not sure that I would have been able to wear it anywhere else because of how high the black slip underneath rode up. My rear end would be exposed. Overall, it was very cute and if you are a bit heavier, you may need to belt it to give you some shape because it can have a tendency to give you the paper sack look.

This was actually my second choice dress, but the first didn't fit. At first I was disappointed but after I tried it on; I'm glad that my first choice didn't fit. Let me start with the fit. I ordered the 6 with the 4 as my backup. I could have worn either. Typically I wear an 8 in off the rack type dresses so I was thrilled that 4 fit so well. :D I am 5'1 and this dress is very long. I wore 5 inch heels and just as in the photos RTR provided it still skimmed the floor. The sheath underneath is short; but the sheer fabric allows you modesty. Now for the stuff some of you may be wondering about the fit that I did. I won't lie. I'm 42 and I'm a 34B. I weigh about 132. I have had two children and don't work out like I should, so (sigh) I have a bit of a tummy. Nothing huge mind you but something form fitting wouldn't look right. This dress is absolutely perfect if you have a similar body type as it hides those types of imperfections. It is attention getting when walking across a room. Picture a model walking the runway with a fan blowing the fabric. I was complimented numerous times; one of which came from a freelance fashion writer. The best part of all? It is really comfortable! I felt like I was wearing a little slip. The other reviewer who said you could fit this in your handbag was right and just like her I wish I could buy it. Alas, I don't have any photos to share that show off the dress. For accessories; I wore beaded black chandelier earrings, a black beaded bracelet and a chunky black beaded ring. Simple black handbag and black 5 inch stilettos.

Wore it to a wedding in NY. I will start by saying this is my favorite dress I have ever put on. The way that the fabric moves-- it's incredible. People kept saying I looked like I was floating. Fit: I was nervous about the fit-- about it being too muumuu-ish. I have a full bust and usually opt for dresses that have a defined waist, so that I can avoid looking like a shapeless blob. With the way that the fabric is draped and the way it moves, this was not an issue. It was, in fact, quite flattering. Also, the fabric is VERY sheer and the slip underneath is form-fitting (but not tight), so my silhouette was still visible. I usually wear a 4. I ordered the 4L and the 2L. I wore the 4 because the draping over my bust looked a little better. If you have a smaller bust or narrow shoulders, you can probably get away with the 2, if the 4 isn't available for the dates you want. I honestly could've gotten away with the 2. Also, it was super comfortable. We left the house at 9am and got back around 2am. I still didn't want to take it off. There's not a lot to this dress. It weighs nothing, and if I had to, I probably could've fit it into my purse with room to spare (don't worry, I didn't). Length: I wore a 4L... with 4.5 inch gold satin heels. I am 5'8. The heels were absolutely necessary. With the shoes, the dress cleared the floor by an inch and a half, maybe 2 inches. If you're going to order two sizes, I might recommend ordering the R and the L, unless you are prepared to be in really high heels all day. Walk around in it at home with the shoes you are going to wear with it. I actually recommend this to anyone wearing a long dress. Accessories: small diamond stud earrings, gold satin pumps, black clutch. The dress is enough by itself.

This dress was a dream! It looks even more stunning on than in photos because of the way the fabric moves. It is subtly sexy and yet hides imperfections well, while making your overall lines look graceful and elegant! I wish I could buy it!

The slip under the dress is very short! Be sure to try on the dress both standing and sitting to be sure you're comfortable with the length before you leave the house.

This dress is very unique and makes a statment. The fit of the chiffon layer was loose and comfy, but the skirt underneath runs very short. I am 5'10" and had to end of wearing opaque tights to cover up. Otherwise, this is a very cool dress.

Im a size 6 and 5'6'' tall, i ordered both sizes in 6 and 8 but was unable to wear the dress since the slip underneath was too short, it did not cover anything. So I had to make a quick run to Nords and buy a dress for a wedding I was going to. But The Rent the Runaway Team was very understanding.

The dress is really pretty and comfortable. Unfortunately it was a very strange cut for me, and I sent it back. It was tight around the neck and then very loose under the arms. It would probably be better for someone with more in the chest area to fill out the dress a little bit. It was the perfect length for wearing an inch or two in heels. I heeded the warning of the other reviews because I would have otherwise ordered it in the L size.

I ordered the long sizes, but it seemed like there wasn't any extra length added to the slip on the dress. My butt was literally exposed on both sizes I ordered, and the overlay seemed really flowy - but not in a good way. I expected the slip to be short, but I had hoped the dress would at least cover the goods! To be fair, I am 4 months pregnant, and I am showing early since it is my second. However, I am doubtful that even if I was straight up and down, it is unlikely the slip would cover everything.

Loved the color of the dress and the length, but unfortunately the inner slip was wayyyy toooo short. It only covered half my backside, unless I wanted to surprise the people behind me I was not able to wear it. Too bad
