This dress is very much business on the bottom and party on the top! It runs true to size, but a bit tighter right where the top of the shell hits and more fitted in the ribcage area. The hips give a fitted illusion, but there is actually a good amount of room. I really enjoyed the overall look at think it's a style you can really dress up or down.

I received an e-mail the day before my order was due to ship indicating that my first-choice dress was damaged by the previous renter. Luckily, this beautiful dress was available. The garment is solidly constructed and the piping on the hem is also used to create the unique overlay. The size 0 was a perfect fit and very comfortable to wear. I styled the dress with black pumps, hematite earrings and the gorgeous Ella Carter "Dylan Bracelet" I received as a Mystery Bling. The dress fit nicely. It was easy to dance in. I had to wear one size up because I am nursing. Otherwise it would be true to size. Overall, it was a great dress!

I wore this dress to a birthday party. I usually wear an 8, but a 10 fit me well, mostly because the fabric just doesn't have a lot of give around the hips. Well proportioned, thoughtfully crafted (as DVF always is), and perfect for this transitionary time between winter and spring.

I ended up not wearing this dress because it was still so cold out but I would rent again. Fabric is lightweight but structured/stuff cotton. I liked the interesting top. Bottom was not too fitted and was relatively long.

I chose the dress because the design was unique and different from other DVF dresses I have fallen in love with. When I got the dress though the size 10 was way too big while the 8 was a tad tight on the top and the pleats on the front of the skirt creates a small poof so I wasn't super thrilled with the silhouette it was creating. However I (begrudgingly) bought a pair of spanx it actually made a worlds difference. I had a ton of fun rocking this dress all weekend. I paired the dress with black open toe wedges from Nine West and drop earrings I purchased years ago. If your looking for a unique dress to wear for one night but don't want to spend high end department store prices definitely rent this dress.

It fit very well. Hugged all of the right places, but I didn't realize the fabric of the lower part of the dress was a different quality fabric than I was expecting. The two pleats at the front bunched near my stomach in a weird way, but I got a lot of compliment on the dress as a whole.

I loved this dress so much in the photo and couldn't wait for it to arrive. When it did, I tried it on and didn't think it would work. The six was a snug around the hips causing the area around my stomach to bunch up. Not the most flattering. I decided to order a replacement dress. The dress wasn't delivered because I wasn't home when UPS got to my building, so I called customer service. Mary Kate was so awesome and got UPS to let me come to their warehouse to pick it up, but the pick up time was after my event started. I ended up making the caught up dress work. I had to adjust periodically, but overall, am glad the replacement didn't arrive because I felt great in this dress and got a lot of compliments. I wore this to an afternoon First Communion party and then to my bday party--it transitioned from day to night nicely. Great unique dress but if you have full hips I would get your extra size one up.

Very flattering at the waist. Bust is a little tight fitting so I couldn't wear a bra but didn't necessarily need to.

The fit was like a glove! The length was perfect for my 5'2" frame and wide hips. I found myself pulling up the strapless part of it (under the netting) every so often but a little fashion tape would have saved me from that problem. I did get a few comments in regards to what the netting looked like (a hammock, mesh on fruit, etc.) but it was all in fun and everyone really did love the dress!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this rental, but it was great! So different from everything else! I got lots of compliments, both in person and on social Media! Zipper goes a little hard at waistline where materials meet.

It fit perfectly. You just have to watch to make sure that the bust line doesn't creep down. I wore a sticky bra and sometimes those would sneak out of the top.

Worn for a work fundraiser gala that is "Formal with a twist." Perfect compliment of formal and fun. I am normally a 10, but can sometimes do an 8 with certain cuts so this one fit like a glove with the 8. Did have a bit of room in the belly area which doesn't show much, but would be a bonus for someone with a small baby bump.

It's official! This just became my favorite RTR item that I've worn! Perfect fit! The netting adds a fun twist to the classic black dress. Our Uber driver (woman) stopped me as I got in the car to gush over the dress and my shoes. I'm in love with this piece!

I wore this dress to my 30th birthday party and got many compliments. Dress was true to size - it is form-fitting, but all the material is stretchy, so the dress was super comfortable to wear all night long.

I wore this for a night out in Brooklyn and loved it! I agree with the other reviewers: The bottom part is tight, but as the night went on the fabric stretched to a comfortable size. I would order a size up as a backup. It's very versatile to dress up or down, and stands out from the crowd.

Usually wear 0 but the zipper for the 0 dress wasn't closing up (once it's on you) so thankfully I had the back up size 2 which I ended up wearing. Since it's black it didn't really show that it's a bit loose on me. Wore it for my bday, fun dress for a night out in NYC. Belly area roomy enough for my little gut which I appreciated. Enjoyed this dress a lot ! Definitely recommend ! And for my height, length is just about right !

I rented this dress for a friend's birthday party - I liked that it was fun but not super formal and also had a somewhat relaxed fit for a night out dress. I would say the dress runs a bit small, especially on the top as the fabric has no stretch and would suggest sizing up if you are a C cup or larger. Otherwise, this is an awesome dress that I'd love to wear again in the future!

Despite how the pictures seem and how it looks on the model, the bottom of this dress is no way form fitting. It's a looser fit which allows this dress to still be work appropriate. The top has an eye catching style and is so unique that you'll be complimented by strangers on the street in mass quantities. Loved this dress and wish I could keep it!

I loved this dress! I wore it for our engagement party at a rooftop hotel in NYC! It was perfect for the occasion & I got so many compliments on it. I read other reviews that said that it runs a bit small. I wear either a 4 or a 6, and I'm glad I got the size 6, as it would have been a bit too tight, and too short. I would recommend this dress for an evening out, a party or even for a fun wedding! If you are in between sizes, I would suggest going with the bigger size!

I really liked this dress. The only negative is that the top is very tight for larger chests--I had to wear a jacket because the top was too tight to look good. It's also too short for professional events for taller gals. But it's really flattering otherwise, good fabric that looks tailored but still with a bit of stretch. It looks very sharp and got lots of compliments.

Photographs really well. It's dressy enough for an event, yet materials are also good for daytime. Upper is pretty tight, and lower is looser with some pleats in the front that make it bunch out a little for a more classy vs sexy look.

I really, really liked this dress. I had seen it online and didn't think it was anything special, but when I went to the RTR store I tried on a bunch of dresses and it was by far my favorite. The dress is very tight--I had to have my friend zip up the back--but I felt like it hit me in the right places. I didn't wear a bra with it because I thought you would be able to see bra lines through the back. I wore Spanx but probably didn't need to (the dress material is pretty thick). The dress was super comfortable. I felt really pretty in it and got a lot of compliments!

Runs small so go up a size. Zipper is hard to pull up, gets stuck. But over overall extremely happy! Material holds you in , In all the right places! Got so ma y compliments!

I rented this for a night out for my brother's birthday with some friends. I loved it! So comfortable but classy. The 12 fit but I chose to wear the 14 instead due to minor snugness in the bust. Would definitely recommend it!

This dress, along with several other options, were sent to me when my original choice became unavailable. I received the size 10 and wasn't sure what to expect since I normally wear an 8. I couldn't be happier with the fit. This dress hugged all of my curves and made my legs look slim. The mesh top is a great detail and I chose not to wear a necklace as it would have taken away from the neckline of the dress. I did wear chunky gold earrings and chunky gold bracelets. I needed to wear a strapless bra with the dress for some support but I suppose one could go without. Fantastic alternative dress- this will be rented again !!

I chose this dress from a retail shop after my online order didn't arrive. I'm so glad the original didn't arrive - this was a much better pick. The dress was true to size. There's a little give in the white mesh part, but the bodice is made of a non-stretchy material. It's lightweight and great for a summer event. I paired this with long earrings and nude heels. The dress doesn't need much in the way of accessories; it truly stands on its own.
