pro: great fit, POCKETS, comfortable material, vibrant colors (the dress looks a lot more dull in the photo with the model), got a ton of compliments on it. cons: the sequins sewn into the chest were slightly scratched, but didn't really make a difference

I ordered the 10 & the 8, and was having trouble deciding which size to go with. I went with 8, my regular size, with the only caveat being that I had to be careful sitting down so the dress wouldn't ride up too much. Other than that, the dress was comfortable, was perfect for the day wedding and then dancing later that night. Pictures of this dress don't do enough justice to how unique and fun the fabric looks in person!

This dress was the perfect dress for a 2 o'clock wedding with a 6 pm reception. Shift dress made it casual enough for the day but the metallic color and mirror entails transitioned it in to night. Should note that the metallic color in the picture looks gold but is actually more copper. I wear a 0 normally and it fit like a glove. It even has pockets, which came in handy. It was easy to sit in an not too short on me (about 5'3). Oh and I got tons of compliments!

Perfect for a summer wedding...classy, but also a little bit fun and edgy. I usually wear a size 2, which fit, however I prefered to have the dress be slighty baggy.

Loved this dress! I got so many compliments..even from of my guy friends. It was perfect for the wedding I wore it to; not too dressy and not too casual. The mirrors on the top of the dress add just enough sparkle to not need too much other jewelry. I wore some simple gold bangles and chandelier earrings with gold trim (my hair is covering them) and nude pumps. I am not big in the chest area and the dress was snug there though. I wouldn't recommend it to someone more endowed on the top!

My photographer Amelia Johnson threw me for a loop and told me no black/grey, so I picked this dress. In the online pictures it looks conservative, but the fabric and mirror palettes makes this dress come alive. It looked amazing, and we took a really cool ring shot on the fabric. Perfect for the mid-century vibe I was going for!

This dress was perfect for my brother in law's wedding. I received a ton of compliments from various people about how unique and interesting it was. Not only did I feel great, but I was also super comfortable the whole night. The pockets were an added bonus, I could carry my phone around with me and not have to worry about carrying a bag. I was sad to return this dress today, I feel like I would absolutely rent it again for another occasion!

This dress was so much fun to wear! I wore it to my law school graduation. It looked very special and was a complete standout. The small, round mirrors around the collar caught the sunlight so elegantly. I got admiring looks and compliments consistently throughout the entire day-- that's 9 hours, ladies. The dress was true to size. I'm usually a size 4, and the 4 fit like it had been tailor-made for me. This was a fantastic first rental. Thank you, RTR!

The color is amazing and the mirrors and shine make it really stand out! The color is more of a blush color than beige. The 0 could have been a touch tighter, but overall it was a great wedding dress for dancing.

I wore this dress for a spring wedding in the south. I absolutely loved the 60's Mod style of this dress and the color combination. The pockets were an extra bonus as well! The dress was super comfortable and I wore it with flat gold beaded sandals. I received a ton of compliments on this dress from several girls at the wedding. I think it is an eye catcher and sparkles beautifully. I am usually a size 2 or 4 and I decided to size up based on the reviews and ordered a 4 and 6. I ended up wearing the size 4 and had plenty of room. The 6 was way too big.

I tried this on in our Manhattan showroom and absolutely loved it. I usually wear a 2 but had to size up to a 4. It's not supposed to be super tight so it fit great. It's a really fun print for spring/summer and will look great with a tan!

I saw this dress in In Style magazine and was so excited when I saw it was available on RTR. I wore it to a Kentucky Derby party and there was someone from RTR there who asked to take a picture of me. The turquoise and gold are a great combination. It's definitely a shift dress and it isn't very form-fitting if that's what you're looking for.

Overall, my experience was good. The dress was awesome, i felt great in it. I will say that it fit well, without a bra. When I first tried it on and had a bra on it was very tight in the chest area. So I tried the size up but that just felt too big everywhere else (and was still tight in the chest) Knowing that the size I wanted to wear was tight in that bust, I decided not to wear a bra to the wedding and then the dress fit perfectly. The RTR box came looking very distressed, worn down, bent with holes. I did not receive the return packing materials.

I'm 5/2, athletic, 125 lbs and this fit perfectly... I only had the 4 delivered because the 2 wasn't avail able.

I wore this dress to my friends bridal shower and got lots of compliments and felt so comfortable all day in it. I would totally recommend!

This dress was comfortable for a summer, outdoor wedding -- the only caveat being that I had to drive two hours in this dress, and it wrinkles rather easily. The length was perfect for me at 5'4", but I can see this being a bit too short for comfort for some taller ladies. All in all, I got scores of compliments and felt great all day in this!

This dress was phenomenal! Loved the color. Its a tad short but its to be expected probably.

I didn't notice that the dress had mirrors as a kind of faux necklace. I didn't love that part. Also, the metallic parts of this dress are NOT gold. They are a coppery/rose-gold color, so I had to run out and buy different shoes at the last minute. The dress was great though. LOVE the pockets.

Fit perfectly, was really flattering and a standout but appropriate dress. My backup size wasn't available and they contacted me immediately and let me pick a backup size in a different dress. Great service and spectacular dress as long as you are a sheath person to begin with.

Loved the dress. Very comfortable. I wore it to a wedding and got lots of compliments. I had a baby about six months ago and am nursing, so my bust is bigger than normal. I could have worn the size 2, but chose to wear the size 4 instead because the 2 was slightly tight in the bust. I'm short (5'2") and I thought the length was perfect. Regarding the color, it was more bronze than gold. I loved the mirrors on top, but they were slightly scratched which was obvious in the daylight but not so much at night. All in all it was a fantastic dress and I would totally recommend it!

This dress was *perfect* for a cocktail hour at a summer wedding. Got tons of compliments, and super comfortable to wear.

Loved this DVF. Wore it for dinner and a show in Las Vegas. I had it originally paired with heels but ended up slipping into little white sandals after a few hours of walking around and the dress worked well with both options. The mirrors on the neckline are a great detail. The length and fit were appropriate, modern, not overly showy. The armholes are not overly tight, but comfortable and will not show a regular bra. Recommended this dress to a friend going to a wedding this summer. One of my favorite RTRs yet.

This is my second rental from RTR, and I couldn't be happier. I wore a black lace dress to a gala back in February; the DVF was for a wedding this past weekend. I got many compliments on the dress. The turquoise and bronze together were just beautiful. The little mirrors around the neckline added a fun, unexpected pop. Thank, RTR, for great customer service and selection.

I rented this dress for my daughter's birthday party and it was perfect: dressy, sweet, flattering and stylish. Got tons of compliments. I usually wear size 4 and this dress fits true to size, but because it's a shift dress, I thought a size larger looks and feels better.

I had tried this dress on in the Showroom and loved it so I was thrilled when I had an event to wear it to. The dress is beautiful and the color and detail on top really sets it apart. I am petite and wear a 4 or 6 in most dresses. I found the 6 to be a comfortable fit for me in this dress. I am 5'3' and the length worked great as well since this is the kind of dress you can wear quite short if you are taller. I also rented the earrings that were suggested and they were fabulous! The whole Rent the Runway experience was outstanding! The showroom stylist was wonderful , energetic, and helpful. I had the dress and earrings sent to our hotel which worked out great, and the return instructions were simple. I went back to the website to see if I could purchase the dress and earrings since I loved this whole outfit that much! Honestly, with all the beautiful dresses at Rent the Runway, the wonderful customer service, and ease of renting and returning, I am planning my summer event dates to line up dresses to wear.

The dress is very comfortable and has great pockets for business cards and your lipstick. I didn't realize the the dress is copper/rose gold, and I think that made it unique. The dress shows off your legs, but is conservative on top.

This dress was extremely comfortable and easy to dance in - great for a wedding. The downside was that it created a bit of a "uniboob" / flattened the bust.

Dress was very short, shift fit loose, not as form fitting as I would have liked. Great retro dress. Top detail looked like mirrors, more of a costume.

Runs SHORT. The 8 fit in the waist and hips but was too short - I needed the 10 for length.

This dress was smaller than other DVFs I have worn and rented. I wore the 6. It was very tight around the bust, so I would definitely size up if you are larger there. The mirrors were a bit scratched and worn and the smaller size I rented came with a small stain. Despite being a little constricting during dancing, the dress looked great and flattering in pictures!

The mirrors on the dress I received were scratched and pretty worn out (I don't think anyone noticed but me). The cut of the dress makes it slightly unfitted in the hips and snug in the chest/shoulders--the 4 was a bit too tight on top for me, but the 6 would have been completely shapeless. It was still very flattering, but may be a trickier dress for fuller busted women (especially if you are not very full in the hips/back).

DVF runs pretty consistent for me. A little shorter than I anticipated, but it is a great dress. It can actually be dressed up or down. Great for anything beach related. I wore it to a children's event and the playful detailing and fun colors fit in well.

A stunning dress! The photos don't do it justice. There is a hint of copper in the design. But, it is not meant for busty gals. Too tight at the top for a typical size 12.
