I really liked this dress. I got it for work but it was a lot fancier than I originally thought it was going to be... but I loved it and still wore it. Styled it with a blazer over top and i thought it looked great. Bottom part of the skirt was my favorite part. So fun!

I did not get any compliments on the dress, but it's a pretty basic black dress.

It fit great, more cleavage than I prefer but still loved it.

I got so many compliments in this dress, felt great myself, it was a good weight for an outdoor wedding in the summer, DTP dresses are some of my faves and the midi mermaid length on this was just perfect. Can’t say enough good things - I asked to buy it and am still searching online for it. You won’t regret renting this dress!

A little longer than I was expecting it to be, but it was super comfortable, flattering, and I got a ton of compliments! I could have possibly gone with a smaller size, but it still worked out great. Would recommend for a cocktail party or semi-formal event.

Ended up buying this dress. It fit perfect, especially for someone with larger boobs. Was initially planning to order the XL but it was out of stock and I was in desperate need for a wedding so I ended up just getting the XXL. I am a true 14 but the XXL fit great. This dress hugged my body well without being skin tight. Highly recommend if you are on the fence about this dress, i was pleasantly surprised with how amazing it was.

Form-fitting in all the best ways & comfortable too. I loved the length.. I even transitioned it to casual-wear but throwing a sweater overtop and wore it with docs- got a ton of compliments! Only fit issue was that I was concerned about sitting down in it and if it would be too tight... It turned out to be fine! Wish I could buy it

For reference I'm 5'3" medium build. I ordered medium and large. I wore the medium. This dress fit like a glove. It has a nice thick material with no give. This dress complimented my shape and I felt great in it. Would definitely rent again.

This dress fit like a glove. I loved the double lining which hide any imperfections with ease. The tulip shape works really well for me as an hourglass and I loved how comfortable I was. I got tons of compliments about how perfect the dress was and I paired it with a nude heel to create the illusion of height. Highly recommend for formal weddings. I felt appropriately dressed and comfortable the entire night!

Fit was very flattering. Made me look curvy. I’m 5’2 so the dress was more of a maxi for me, but still looked great! Fabric is nice quality too

This dress was full of pros for me. The fit, length, fabric- all of it. However, I did wear it with Spanx to smooth things out. Only con was the neckline which made bra selection very difficult. I ended up with a convertible push up bra and taped the dress to it to keep my straps from showing at the top. A round strapless bra line showed and did not support the look I was aiming for. Got A LOT of compliments and felt sexy but in a tasteful way.

I loved this dress. It fit almost perfect. The length was great and the top fit perfect. I wish it would have been a little more snug through the hips but I am more of a rectangular body type. It still looked wonderful.

I got a lot of compliments on this dress! It's not a showstopper necessarily but it's a classic and elegant look. It's very form fitting but comfortable at the same time. I wore a strapless bra and I noticed later that it was visible in some photos, so keep that in mind if you have a larger bust and need to wear a bra.

This dress would have been 5 stars if the straps were adjustable. It was easy enough to tact them for the night, and it fit perfectly everywhere else. I'm 5'2 125 lbs for reference.

This dress was so comfortable. I was originally supposed to wear another dress but there was a complication with the availability, so they sent me a dress that was too small and this dress as backup. I'm so glad they did because I ended up liking this dress more than the original dress. So sleek & classy. The neckline is flattering for even girls with a smaller top area. Would definitely recommend renting this one.

Advis Dress The Population dress wearer, materia is thick and hold you in. My only downsize was that it was a little boob-y for my liking. I am a 34DD for reference

The front of this dress was okay but as you can see it screams funeral from the back. And the fit was weird- okay in the hips but large in the chest and that is never an issue for me.

Great dress although I didn't wear it. I'm 5'4" and 125lbs, 34A bra, 25/26 jeans and the small waist just too tight. I ended up borrowing the same dress from a friend in a size medium. Loved it just has to size up.

I really wanted to make this dress work as it seemed like it would fit my body type well but the one major flaw is that it has zero stretch. Once I zipped the dress there was absolutely zero give in the area below my bra band/above my belly button - I could have worn it if I planned to skip dinner/drinks and didn’t dance but that’s the entire point of a wedding. For reference, the dress fit perfectly everywhere else and when I tried the next size up it was too baggy. Majorly disappointing!

This fit like a size 4 with not an 1/8" to spare! I wish I'd gotten a M backup to be safe but it worked. The waist seam was quite tight and it definitely hugs the hips, but because of the thicker fabric and flattering silhouette it was tasteful and i wasn't terribly uncomfortable. I thought the neckline and flared skirt really elevated this classic LBD. Wore regular strapless bra and Paired with green Kendra Scott earrings for color pop.

This dress fit true to size. It is tight fitting, but does stretch a bit. I was able to dance in it all night at a wedding. Definitely recommend if looking for a less formal black tie event dress!

I rented this for a black tie wedding and it was the perfect mix of fun and classy. The skirt is comfortable and fun to dance in and the fit is SO flattering.

It was a tiny bit bigger in the chest and straps than I hoped, but with a bra it wasn't uncomfortable and didn't slip around and looked great. Would just recommend wearing a strapless /stick-on bra if you have a smaller chest like I do, but otherwise great dress that's really flattering!

Received many compliments. It was different than the typical black dress I would normally choose. It was an XL - I normally fit a 12 so I would say this probably runs a little small. But the bust was a little big. For me, if fit as I'm pretty curvy lol

Very comfortable, true to size, and great for dancing! I loved the neckline and the shape it gave me. It kept twisting a bit to the right during the night, but this was only a small bother and definitely not a deal breaker. Perfect LBD, but still felt very stylish.

I love the flattering cut of this classic black dress by Dress The Population! This piece runs true to size so I would recommend getting your typical size as your primary and going one size up for the backup size. There is comfortable room throughout the midsection and it is a straight fit on the hips as it is a shift style dress so it does not hug the curves. This dress is great for all cup sizes as it is comfortable in the bust area and I recommend wearing a strapless bra with it. In regards to length, the dress hit me at mid calf and I'm 5,4 in height. I would pair this dress with black heels (as pictured), a sparkly necklace and or earrings and a cute statement bag.

Fits perfectly for someone with curves (wouldn’t wear if you’re not pear shaped). Good length for tall ladies. Thick dresss good for winter.

I LOVED this dress! It's very flattering and also comfortable. For me, the XL was none too big, but it fit about as I would expect for my usual size 12/14. (The XXL was too big in the bust, and I'm a 38D.) There is no stretch in the bodice, however, so I do recommend getting the back-up size in the larger size. The trumpet flare was flattering on my legs--which are thicker. I'm an hourglass shape. The black material is a perfect thickness for disguising bulges. The straps stayed up great for me, but are not adjustable. The zipper sticks, so you'll want someone to help you with that. (Tip: Can't really wear a bra with this dress, and for me I had to have something. I tried taping for the first time and was pleasantly surprised that it worked great!) :)

Really like the cut of this brand's dresses at the neckline w/ the v. This version fit nicely to accentuate an hourglass shape and the flare at the bottom was flattering and added an extra bit of interest. Want to buy!

This is a very flattering dress for anyone with a curvaceous shape. I loved the natural waist emphasis and the neckline (definitely sexy but not overly revealing). The sleek, simple design makes it classy and elegant. I thought this was kind of reminiscent of a 1950s wiggle dress. Would wear it for another event!
