I wore this to a dinner event and it was lovely, I felt beautiful. Small was the best fit, I was 117 here (5’4). Leaving the review 6 years later oops, my primary size has changed a lot (shoutout gym & improved relationship w/ food) so that’s not good to use for reference.

I am usually a size 8 due to my hips, and i was surprised how well the M fit me! I dont normally wear tight dresses but was feeling good in it! I wore control top pantyhose so it helped smooth everything out! The "cape" was fun, too!

I really wanted a dress with sleeves for this event and I was drawn to the Teal Lace Cape Sheath dress because of it's unique cape sleeves. However, it didn't look quite as good on me as I would have liked. I don't know if it was because I was wearing a Large, but the sleeves made me look a bit top heavy. I would have preferred a more fitted fit through the hips (like on the model image). The style looked a bit boxy and matronly on me - definitely not my style - but otherwise a comfortable dress to wear.

I was worried after reading reviews that the small wouldn't fit, however the XS even fit. I think it fits true to size. It's short, but not too short. I love the cap/sleeves. Would definitely recommend!

I got so many compliments on this dress. It was very comfortable and true to size. There was a little extra room through the bottom, but I'm only 5'3. It didn't look large, and I don't think this would be an issue for someone less petite. Highly recommend!

The dress was comfortable but more fitted than I was expecting- for those with an hourglass figure and/ or athletic legs/ bum, I would definitely size up. The small was way too tight at my chest and bum so I went with medium and it was a a bit loose at the waist unless I tugged down the skirt. I found that it bunched up a little at the tailbone from time to time.

The dress fits true to size. I am petite and it came just above my knee. It was super comfortable and not too revealing.

Got this as a backup and loved it better than what I had originally picked. It fit great and was comfortable the whole night. Soft material, do wish it was shorter but overall I got complimented the whole night.

Fit perfectly, bottom of back zipper kind of bulged out which made me look like I was hiding a tail but if I pulled the dress down in the back it went away. Dress was beautiful with gold jewelry!

I have been debating renting a dress and when I saw this I loved everything about it. The teal color, lace and gold accents. I'm 10 months post partum and am still dealing with extra pounds. I read every single review and the ones similar to me because I really wanted it to work. I'm 5' 4", 161 lbs, 36DD, bust measurement is 41". I chose the large and medium as my back up even though I was sure it probably wouldn't fit. I think the dress runs small, I went with the Large and could not zip it up by myself but luckily with someone else's help it fit. It was tight but I was comfortable enough. Dress was a tiny bit short, found myself adjusting occasionally when sitting but was not that bad. The dress came super fast and the only issue I had was the return label would not scan at ups so they had to correct the shipping info. My suggestion would be to show the size chart info based on actual measurements like bust, waist, hips. I find that's helpful when trying to determine size. Overall I am happy and recommend this dress and will definitely use rent the runway for my next formal event.

As other reviewers noted a little short but overall did a great job of curve hugging. Was comfortable and the little mini-cape on it was great for winter (and super unique). Received tons of complements. Will definitely order again!

I rented this for a book award banquet and it was perfect. The cape really makes it something special. Love the gold accent on the lace and since I'm a little shorter, the length was perfect. I'd definitely rent this one again! The M fit, but I felt more comfortable in the L, especially in the hip area. If you've got bigger hips, consider sizing up. Otherwise, it was a pretty true to fit dress.

This is an incredibly comfortable dress - it has just enough stretch to not feel like you're sucked in, even though the dress is fitted. The cape sleeves are super flattering and the color is beautiful. Definitely recommend!

While it is short, the cut is modest, so it works. The lace is delicate, but durable, and not at all itchy. It was super fun dancing in this dress at my friend's wedding.

I wore this dress for my company holiday party and it was great! It had that vintage vibe with the back but had a beautiful pattern and color, mostly for the holidays! I'm usually between a Small and Medium but decided to wear the Medium because it was a bit tight around the chest (I'm a 34B). It was super comfortable to wear all night for dancing and hit the perfect length for me (I'm 5'3). Would definitely recommend it!

I'm a bit more chesty at the moment because of breastfeeding and the medium fit like a glove and I didn't feel like I was suffocating!! It's definitely a statement dress!!

I rented this dress for a wedding. It was perfect!! The color is a dark green with gold thread work throughout. The cape sleeves are flowy and not restricting. It's short but not too short in my opinion. I danced all night in this dress and didn't want to take it off at the end! It hugs your curves but definitely does show any food babies you may have! Will debt again for sure!

I ordered a M and L and wore the medium. It is the tiniest bit short, but not inappropriate. My biggest worry was if the cape was going to keep me from throwing my hands around as I danced, which it did not. It was so flowy and so much fun. I wasn't able to resist doing some twirls on the dance floor to make it fly.
