Very thick fabric. YES RUNS SMALL! I usually wear small and I literally squeezed myself into this dress. Very thick fabric. Even though I squeezed into it, it was VERY comfortable. Very cute the way it flares a little in the skirt. I wore silicone pasties and this worked just fine. Fabric so thick u might not even need. Oh and they send me a FABULOUS pair of earrings that matched PERFECTLY. I LOVE RTR.

I wore this dress for my birthday. The dress I originally was going to wear had been returned damaged so this was a back-up dress; but I love it! As mentioned in other reviews this dress runs small on top especially in the arms. I am normally a small or extra small but the medium was a little snug. I love the back of the dress! It is a nice surprise from the more conservative front. I received tons of compliments and would definitely rent this again!

This dress runs small - I wore a medium and I'm usually a zero or a two. FANTASTIC dress though - love love love it and was perfect for a company Christmas party. I didn't want to give it up!

Truly unique and beautiful, lots of stares and comments. My husband was a big fan! Arms were tight but not uncomfortable. Took quite a bit of steaming to get the skirt folds to fall right but it was worth it.

To say the arms for small is an understatement. I had actually ordered a M a few months ago and couldn't even get it on then was really surprised how much of a struggle the L was, but it was worth it, looked great, and was very comfortable. Most comments I've had on a Facebook picture for sure.

Great dress but it runs very tight, I would recommend up one or two sizes! I love the classic look from the front and the back details make it a lot of fun. Otherwise it is a perfect dress for many occasions. I recommend an adhesive bra or no bra.

Loved the dress and received so many compliments at my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. It ran extremely small and RTR overnighted a size medium when I realized the small wouldn't fit. The medium was still very tight in the arms and I couldn't wear any type of bra. I have very skinny arms so I was surprised!

Received countless compliments on this dress for a black tie encouraged gala. Fabric is thick enough you can get away with no bra, but because of the flaps at the back of the dress would recommend hipster/boyshorts underneath. All in all, a fabulous, fabulous dress. Maybe my favorite I've ever worn to a gala. Only thing stopping me from renting it again is I know everyone would remember it! Show stopper. Yes, runs small. I'm usually a 0-2 and medium fit like a glove.

It was beautiful and understated until you saw it from the back. I was very comfortable in this dress all night. That being said the arms were crazy tight. I was able to squeeze into the small because the medium was unavailable. Everything about the small fit except the arms. I am a little athletic so it was not made for girls with muscles. I would definitely size up and I plan to rent again.

This dress is beautiful but was definitely hard to squeeze into. I am normally a 4/6 or a s/m and had to wear the large. Even then it was hard to get into the sleeves. Once I got into it I felt classy and elegant! Definitely order a size larger for your backup. The material was wonderful and thick. I would recommend this dress to a friend.

This dress was the perfect mixture of sexy and classy, yet understated. The photo I posted doesn't do it justice- the open back was the star of the show. I wasn't very comfortable in the dress, however. The arms, shoulders, and bust fit very small (I'm only a B cup). I wore a stick-on backless bra and I think the lines were quite visible from the front in certain lighting. The material was thick though, which I liked. Good for a few hours wear but I wouldn't be comfortable all evening in it.

You can tell this dress is well made, and high quality. So glad I sized up because I never would have fit in the small. The tightest area do me was my arms. Loved the dress and would rent again if I could find a reason

I absolutely loved this dress - got tons and tons of compliments throughout the entire Black Tie wedding. I wore it with Valentino rockstud heels (black / tan), so it made the sweet design a bit edgier but overall still a class act. This dress was so comfortable. It runs REALLY small. I am so glad that I work near a RTR showroom because I tried it on in the store (on a whim) and they only had a L. At first I wasn't going to try it as I typically wear an XS/S (2/4), but I tried it anyway and the Large was a perfect fit. If I had ordered this online and tried a S & M, I likely wouldn't have been able to wear it - so order up a size or two! Would definitely rent this again!

This is a great dress! The front is lovely; the back is fun. It's made of quality and heavy fabric. The only problem is the cut. I normally wear a small, but in this I needed a large. It has a slim cut through the bodice, but the shoulders are really wide and the sleeves were uncomfortably snug. I needed to use some tape on the back so that the dress wouldn't gap. I would recommend this only if you have time to get another dress in the event it doesn't fit.

Was a bit long on me so I temporarily hemmed with double-sided fabric tape and it worked well. The small was surprising too small on me. The sleeves are tight in both the S and M. Overall a great dress. I attended 2 events in one night and everyone loved it.

I have an extremely small frame. I usually wear a 0/2 and I thought the small was a better for me than the extra small. The fabric does not have a much "stretch." It is a great dress that is appropriate yet fun. I received many comments on the back of the dress. Definitely a comfortable dress that I would likely rent again.

After reading reviews, I sized up but should have sized up even more! I tried the medium but couldn't quite get the side-zip to close and knew I would have been uncomfortable even if I had. The material is a nice heavy weight with a little stretch, but it is not too forgiving to squeeze into. I think the open back could be very flattering but make sure you get the right size so it fits your shoulders properly. I think the dress has potential in the right size, but alas, I missed my chance.

It was a good choice for a nicer cocktail party at a friends apartment at night. But definitely hard to move in because of sizing. Go big.

This was actually an emergency back-up dress as the dress I originally rented was unavailable in my size. I opted for the small, which I thought would be fine (I usually wear a 4, sometimes a 2, sometimes a 6 depending on the brand). The small was teensy tiny; I couldn't even get it on! The arms and shoulders wouldn't fit. I was really disappointed because I actually loved this dress - maybe even more than the one I originally picked! I would try to rent this again, but would size at least one or two sizes up.

The dress is beautiful, but the small reminded me of a 00. The material has a lot of give, but being 5'8 it was way too short and way too tight through the arms. I would have loved it if it were available in a larger size.

The dress is really cute, but it did not even come close to fitting me. I wear a size 10 in most stores, 8 in some, and this dress would not even go over my head. I would suggest ordering about 2 sizes up from your normal size.

This dress is so cute, but unfortunately runs i'd say 2 sizes small. I ordered the medium and the large, am 6ft tall, 155lbs, and my butt was hanging out the back, and dress was too short. If you have thin/narrow proportions and are 5'10 and shorter, estimate 140lbs or less, this dress may work for you.

I couldn't even get into this dress. My order had gotten messed up and at the last minute chose this as a replacement for the one I no longer could get. I'm glad I had gotten another dress because I couldn't get my shoulders or head into this dress! The fabric has no stretch at all! Definitely size up!!

I ordered a M and L based on reviews that it ran small. I couldn't even get the M on my arms, and the L was skin tight. Unflattering and made out of some sort of non-stretchy neoprene-ish material. Woof.

I have rented many times but I was extremely disappointed with this dress. Obviously, the back is beautiful but the dress runs extremely small and the slit in the back opens right up to your underwear. You have to wear booty shorts with it.

Dress fit me perfect so it does run on the smaller side and not much room in the arms. It was comfortable and fitting without a bra. Would rent again! This is definitely party in the back with the open slit and open back.

I'm usually a size small to medium but sized up to a medium and large. Unfortunately. the large wasn't available, but the medium fit perfectly. The arms are definitely tight. Also, you can't tell from the photos, but the back of the skirt is two flaps on top of each other--similar the front of a wrap dress. It doesn't cause any problems when standing but when you sit, the sides come apart and you can see a whole side of your behind! Luckily I had some black athletic compression shorts I wore underneath. Otherwise, the people seated next to me at the restaurant would have been in for a show!

Very sexy without being vulgar. I received tons of compliments. It was too small, in the arms especially. I rented the large (when I usually wear a medium). I should have tried an XL. All in all I would definitely recommend the dress but go two sizes up!
