This dress fit PERFECTLY. Any smaller and I would not have been able to breathe. Another reviewer mentioned snugness in the waist, which I absolutely agree with - it fit like a glove. The plus side was that it wasn't tight in the tummy area since that is where it flares out. I marked it as true to size, and I meant it. The dress is so fun yet so classy and people commented how they had never seen anything like it. The model is tall, so the dress hits right above her knee. I'm average height and this dress was more of a tea length, which still looked great. I want to rent this one again!

Dress was fabulous. So comfortable for the entire night. I loved the form fitting top, but it was loose starting just past the ribs so I didn't feel like I had to wear spanx for the evening. Couldn't get enough compliments. Would 100% recommend renting.

Wore this dress two months after having a baby and it flared out right where my stomach does so did a great job of hiding body flaws. Was also great bc you could wear any type of underwear and doesn't wrinkle. Received many compliments and was comfortable all night long.

The only part of the dress that was a bit tight was the bust area. I am not a full C by any stretch, but I did feel that the addition of a bra added lines I did not like so I went without. Snug enough that it worked. I had ordered 4 and 6, but 4 fit best.

Wore this for New Year's Eve and loved it. It runs small. I'm always a 4 and while this is the Italian equivalent it was very tight on my bodice/breast area and I'm a small B. Definitely would not fit someone with larger breasts. That being said it is gorgeous and I got tons of complements.

It was very lightweight and forgiving of flaws. It was comfortable sitting through dinner and for dancing. It is tight in the chest area, which it needs to be, then loosens directly below the rib cage. It was slightly itchy under the arms at first but I forgot about it quickly. I adored this dress and hated sending it back!!

It fit perfectly! I was surprised how much I liked it. Classic fit with a bit of funk. It highlighted my waist and the length was fun. It was very sparkly in person-pictures don't do it justice.

Pros: This dress is so pretty! I received a lot of compliments. People I didn't know were approaching me to tell me how much they loved the dress. Cons: This dress fit so weird. It was SUPER tight in the bust area but then SUPER loose around the waist. It was a little uncomfortable because of the aforementioned tightness.

I was hoping to rent the size 42, but it was unavailable, so I rolled the dice by renting the 40 with the 44 as a backup. I'm short with a short torso, so both dresses were well past the knee; almost tea-length. The 40 was too small to wear with a bra underneath, but the 44 was just a little too big, so I skipped lunch and the bra, and wore the 40. The tule layers can get a little crushed in shipping, but I left them as is since it looked like added texture. I'm sure that issue could be steamed out if needed. All in all, the dress garnered many compliments.

I loved this dress so much when I saw it online. Unfortunately when it arrived it looked entirely different from the pictures. The layers of tulle on the skirt were all crinkly and smushed - and the tan fabric underneath was exposed; the overall affect was a striped tan and black skirt. I called RTR and the helpful rep recommended I steam it near a shower. I ended up purchasing a steamer - and the tulle relaxed immediately. In the end, this turned out to be the perfect party dress. I felt great in it!

Loved the way this dress fit! It was slightly itchy under the arms, but overall a good choice. There isn't much give in the waist, but the dress flares at just the right spot to cover slightly wider hips. I was also happily surprised to be able to wear a normal bra.

Pros: This dress seems to be a statement piece, I got so many compliments! I also loved the tea length and the way the dress moved. It was a fun dress to wear and nothing else like it at my event but I would probably not rent it again do to the way the dress fits. Cons: The cut of the dress is interesting. I normally wear a 4 and wore the 42 in this dress, it was a little loose around the waist and very tight through the bust, I could not wear a bra and had to get help zipping up. Also, the ruffles were not full like they are in the website photo and they were crinkled. I got the ruffles straightened out by wetting my hands and pulling on them, steaming would probably also work. The dress is two layers, an ivory silk layer shows through the dress details and that layer would wrinkled at the top of the dress, no amount of pulling/straightening would get the ivory layer to lay flat.

Wore this to a friend's wedding, it was beautiful. I felt glamorous while wearing it and got endless compliments. The only con I would say would be when I received the dress the Tulle on both dresses were folded up and wrinkled. But I let the dresses air out and it was okay. Other than that I loved this dress and will probably rent it again.

This was my backup dress. The other dress was too big, but I think I would have worn this one anyway. I wore it to a black tie gala and received a lot of compliments from strangers. It runs true to size. It was tighter in the chest, but no problem for me b/c I do not have much of one.

The trimming was irritating at first - felt itchy around the neck - but I got used to it. No need for a bra in this dress, the lining kept things concealed. It felt really special and was super fun to dance in.

This is dress is something special, but it does have a few issues. First, the length is a little unfortunate. I'm long waisted and am 5'6" and this dress hits about three inches below my knees. I debated about not wearing it because of that. If you're any shorter than me it's will look dowdy and matronly....sorry! Two, it runs small. If I gain 2 pounds, I won't be able to zip the bodice of the size 42. I would recommend sizing up. Three, this dress is already showing signs of wear. The black threads running across the bodice are starting to look unruly and fray. :( If you're sensitive to the feel of fabric, know that the material of this dress is somewhat scratchy....and there's a lot of material! I think it would be best worn during cooler months. I wouldn't want to wear it during the summer.

I ordered the 42 and 44' and chose the 42. The 42 was a bit tight across the bust but Provided a better overall fit, as compared to the 44. The 44 fit perfectly across the bust, but the waist was far too big and too long. I normally wear a 38 or 40. Although 40 would have probably fit well at the waist, it would have been impossibly tight across the bust.

I rented sizes 2 & 4. I probably would've gone with the 4 if I had in fact worn it – the size 2 was painfully tight under the arms. The 4 was still uncomfortably tight on top – I guess it technically fit but the fabric has no stretch which made it difficult to move in. I have an incredibly small chest – 34 AAA – so beware anyone with boobs! The lining didn't lay smoothly and was visibly folding /wrinkled through the sheer fabric overlay. I also wasn't fond of how the skirt hung. Didn't do much for a thin figure. A crinoline probably would've helped but I didn't have one nor the time to get one. I recommend this dress for anyone with a *very* small ribcage, *very* tiny chest and wider hips or a crinoline.

I've got a thin waist (I wear a 26 in jeans), but I've got a 32DD bust. It was EXTREMELY tight at the bust, even when I tried a minimizing bra. My rib cage hurt all night. However, both the 40 and 42 were loose at my waist. So I wore the 42 because it hurt my rib cage less. The waist wasn't TOO bad. If you have my body type with a smaller bust you MUST get this dress. BTW I'm tall - 5'10, plus I wore 1.5" heels. The dress hit just below my knees. It might have looked too long if I was a bit shorter.

I am small on top and this dress fit like a glove. This dress would not work for larger breasted women. Beautiful dress but a little stiff in the skirt area. The pictures make it appear that the skirt would swing and it does not. Very much a party dress though, like party party, new years eve party.

The fit was true to size, and it's a beautiful dress. However, this dress is not for the long-waisted. The ruffles started well above my hips and were not flattering. The tulle ruffling is also much more pronounced than you can tell from the photographs. It's more a prom-type dress than something for an adult formal affair. I ended up not wearing it.

This dress is deceptively small. I have an athletic build i.e. I have broad shoulders and I could not zip either the 42 or 44 all the way up. The dress is also an unfortunately length on me (I am 5'5) where it sits just too low below the knee and feels a little matronly. A taller, slimmer frame would do better in this style.

Fit perfect and was comfortable all evening. It was a themed gala so the layered tulle made it flirty and fun.

I wouldn't say this is for everyone. I am petite, and flat chested, so it worked quite well on me. This is for a particular frame. That being said, it has a very elegant, chic, look that can not be matched. I adored this look and was by far the best dressed person. Fabulous.

This dress is stunning. The black and silver look smashing together. I paired it with a chunky turquoise choker (for a touch of color), long gold earrings with a light blue-green stone, and gold cuff bracelet. (sorry no pic-I was feeling under the weather) It fits well in the upper arm (no tight, arm fat over-hang) and across the back and chest (I'm 30 DD). The waist is loose so feel free to eat and drink as much as you want! I'm only 5'2" so it fell slightly below my knees-perfect for the knee length boots that I wore. It was winter in Chicago, so it's kinda hard to wear anything but! I highly recommend this dress to everyone. It's one of those dresses that will look good on anyone. I wasn't even feeling well and still felt beautiful and received compliments. I will definitely rent again!

Top runs very small! I am a 34 B and while, without a bra, I could get zipped, not comfortable. Really problem was that the armholes were so tight against the front of my shoulders. Unfortunately back up size wasn't available. I think the 42 would have been perfect. Really beautiful dress, unique. Hit just below knee.

This is a gorgeous, unique dress that I loved more in person than online. Unfortunately, it would best fit someone really tiny up top. To zip it up I would've needed a 44 but the 42 was already too big in the waist.

Very pretty dress. The size 6 zipper was a little difficult, but did work. Sadly neither size worked for me. I am usually a true 4-6 and my bust size is 34A, but there was NO way I could size up around the rib cage/bust. I wasn't able to wear this pretty dress but it really does look nice in person.

I was really excited about this dress. I had ordered 2 sizes like always. Just this time I was not sure either would fit since I am breastfeeding and my bust size is still not back to normal.. Alas, my fears came true. I just couldn't zip up past my breasts. But the dress arrived on time. It was in great condition and looked amazing. I will get it again when I am done breastfeeding.

This was my backup dress. It was beautiful and wouldn't mind wearing it to another event. The waste fit great but I couldn't zip it all the way up due to my chest, 32DD. There's no stretch in the fabric so that zipper wouldn't budge. Next time I'd order the next size up.
