I'm usually a size 16 and the dress runs a little larger especially in the bust area. The length is perfect and any bold accessories can really bring out the beauty of the dress. Size 18 was too large.

I ended up ordering a few dresses for a December 20th wedding, and RTR had to send me a bunch of replacements due to damage to the dresses I originally selected. I tried all of them on so that I could review them. This is the one I ended up wearing to the wedding. It was really simple, so I was able to do fun jewelry with it, and it was incredibly comfortable- great for dancing and moving around all night long. The bodice has a sweat band and built in cups, so even as a DD Cup, I didn't have to wear a bra, and it kept everything in place all night long. I didn't need Spanx either (thank god for empire-waisted dresses). My only gripe is that the dress was really long. I had regular length, and even with 3-4" heels on, I was still picking up the dress as I walked so I didn't step on it or trip. This dress does run a bit small, I'm usually a 14W, but they only had the 16W to send to me in this dress, and I'm glad they did, because the 14W may have been limiting my ability to breathe. I would definitely recommend this dress- simple, pretty, and nice for almost any occasion!

I loved this dress! I had to go bra-less since it was a little tight in the bust but fit my back wonderfully. Great length for my height with heels. Everyone thought it was beautiful and so elegant. I was a bridesmaid in a very formal black tie wedding and this was perfect!

I typically wear a 16-18 and I went with the 18WR and it fit perfectly. I am 5'4", wore heals and the dress was still slightly on the long side, but it worked with the heals. Fit was very comfortable and dress was flattering. I didn't need to wear a bra because the top fit so well and with the material and structure of the top, it wasn't needed. Would highly recommend this dress for your next formal event.

Perfect dress! I floated over the dance floor all night! Perfect evening made even better by this gown! Worn with heels, no problem!

The dress fit perfectly! I was worried about ordering my bridesmaids dress and not having it fit properly, but the second I tried on this dress it fit just right.. from the length to the fit around the bust it made all my worries go away. I got so many compliments on this dress. Would definitely recommend it for a formal function.

I originally had ordered another dress. The day it was supposed to ship I got a message from customer service saying my original dress was damaged or returned late. They sent me four dresses to try on. I was so thankful for that! This is one I chose! So comfortable and very formal for black tie. I felt like the top was big but maybe that's because I had to go down a size. Thank you rent the runway! I don't think I would have chose this dress on my own since it looks so simple, but I am so glad I wore it! So simply elegant!

I feel like the dress ran a little big. I'm pretty busty and the gown was almost too big. It was better after I put on a good strapless bra but I felt like I was always pulling it up. I loved the cut! I'm 5'2" and with 3" heels, it skimmed the ground.

The dress was so comfortable, I didn't even have to wear spanxs!

This gown is simple enough, yet it can be dressed up even more with some lovely jewels. Runs a size large I thought, unless I lost all that weight in a week.

Finding a formal gown at 33 weeks pregnant for a tall girl was nearly impossible. After the dress I originally ordered in my size and 1 size up came and wouldn't zip (too small), Stylist, Sarah C., saved the day by overnighting me 3 more dresses. Of the 3, this one was absolutely perfect. It was a bit big - my normal size is an 8, but after a few minor adjustments it was so perfect. Thanks again for saving the day!

Cute, but not for me. Too big

This was a lovely dress for the ball. It definitely needs plenty of accessories! I would say it fit true to size. I'm 5'8" and wanted to wear a 1" heel at the most so this length was perfect. If I had wanted to wear actual heels I would have needed the long length.

This was sent to me as a backup for a dress that was damaged. It wouldn't have been a choice

I usually wear a 12-14 and the 14 WR fit PERFECT. I've never had a strapless dress stay up without any help before. It also made my 36 Ds look good without a bra, so major plus! I'm also 5'4" and all I needed was a kitten heel to make this dress short enough (it did hit the ground, so I could've added an inch or 3 on the heel haha). Overall, for an hourglass shape, this dress was nice. It was comfortable. It wasn't sexy, or even that fun on it's on. I kinda punked it up a bit to add to it.

I had my baby girl just 8 weeks ago, and am not yet back to my pre-baby size. This empire maxi style was perfect to camouflage my post-baby belly (and the black color didn't hurt either). The one thing I didn't love was the style of ruching around the bust. I felt like it was designed to minimize, rather than accentuate, which wasn't clear from the photos. Overall though, I was very happy with my rental and would definitely rent this dress again.

It was very comfortable and the top stayed put without help. I loved wearing it.
