First RTR success! This dress is more beautiful in person. The design with gold and purple metallic threads looks luxe with a subtle shine. The bodice is reinforced with a corset bra with three sizes hooks. The skirt is a flowy chiffon over a black slip. It's very comfortable. As a petite, I typically have to go down a size for regular sizes, and I did go with the 0 over the 2. The length was almost mid-calf, but it wasn't too long. The top could have been tighter for me. I had it on the tightest bra hook, and I jumped around without slipping too far. However, even with a chicken cutlet bra, it slipped enough that I tugged it up several times. I received so many compliments and really loved how I felt and looked. It was perfect for a Halloween evening, country club wedding.

When I first ordered this dress, I was concerned that it would be too cutesy or prom-like for my style (and age). I was dead wrong. This dress is absolutely gorgeous. I wore it to my company Christmas party and received so many compliments. I highly recommend this dress.

Dress fit perfectly and was fun to dance in. Has a built-in corset bra with back closure, but I still wore a strapless bra as well, for additional support. Fabric was heavier than most other dresses, so it was perfect for cooler temperatures.

The back was a little hard to zip up but I loved how heavy the material was.

i didnt wear this dress as it seemed it would be too formal for the wedding venue. it isn't conservative per se, but did look old on me. it's also really heavy, and frankly i didn't feel like lugging such a heavy dress around in my carryon.

I wore this for a miniature, covid-era microwedding outdoors. The embroidery and color is just gorgeous. It fit beautifully; it is snug and secure. It has a built in bra and boning in the bodice - I felt comfortable in it but if you aren't used to that super cinched feel it might be an adjustment for you. I am very tall (6'1") and this didn't feel too short at all. The waist could have been a tiny bit lower for my frame, but I think it will be perfect on most torsos. The fabric is on the heavier side, but it was 90 degrees out and I honestly never felt like it was too hot to stand. Since the wedding was so small, fewer than 10 people, there was no dancing but I think it would be quite comfortable to dance in. Overall I felt really pretty in it! This was my first time not wearing a t shirt in like five months and I'm really happy I picked this!

(Disclaimer: I wore this dress in March 2017, but the pop-up reminder to review it won't disappear and it's annoying.) I did love this dress. I was injured right before a black-tie gala and not able to wear heels (just worn for photos), so I changed my rental at the last minute. The customer service team was super helpful! The dress turned out lovely; it was a rather conservative tea length (definitely not showy on the legs), but the cut and fit of the bodice and the beautiful embroidery made it fun! It's rather heavy, so it was excellent for a late-winter event, but I think it would be too heavy and potentially uncomfortable in the summer. If I recall correctly, the colors come through a bit more in person - really a deep purple/burgundy sort of color scheme, with metallic/gold accents.

My favorite dress I've ever rented from RTR. Breathtakingly beautiful, intricate Art Deco design. It looked so expensive. Very comfortable to dance in, no bra needed.

Loved wearing this dress to a formal party in New York City. No need for a bra since the dress has one built in. I usually wear 6/8 and wore this dress in a 6. It fit nice and snug around the chest where you want it snug. Perfectly comfortable and flowy on the bottom.

Beautiful dress. I read the reviews and sized up for my backup size. But didn't need it. Dress is a little heavy and slid down my chest most of the night. Received tons of compliments.

This was a gorgeous and glamorous dress for a Gatsby-theme holiday party! The built-in bra was perfect and the dress was really comfortable. The only thing missing? Pockets!

I loved this dress. The details and color are spectacular. I wore it for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary party, and the gold and purple embroidery was the perfect accent. The length was classy and easy to move around in. I didn't want to atop wearing it! I wear a 6 or 8, but only ordered the 8, which fit slightly big on me. I think it does run true to size. Would definitely rent again.

This was a really special dress that was surprisingly comfortable. I had to go a size bigger than usual due to my large bust. I was probably in between sizes - I had to wear a strapless bra to hold up the dress.

The design on the fabric was so beautiful and the fabric itself flowed nicely. Pretty easy to wear. It has a built in bra too. I wore to a bachelorette and a rehearsal dinner. I was maybe a little over dressed to both but still got tons of compliments!

This fit true to size, though I have a small bust (A/B)-- I could see someone with a larger bust needing a size up. It was a bit heavy for an outdoor summer wedding, but would be perfect for indoor or maybe fall events. Overall, great dress!

I expected to wear the size 4, but the 2 fit better on top (I have a small torso and chest). The cut of the dress meant my wider hips weren't an issue for the skirt. It was a bit tight on top, but still plenty comfortable for the whole evening. There were signs of wear and tear (threads coming out of the fabric) but nothing that anyone but me noticed. I received many compliments on this dress and everyone wanted to know where it was from. Definitely a great rental!!

Normally I wear size four, the size two I got was a teeny bit too tight but then size four I had to pull up once in a while. It went great with the art deco statement necklace I also rented from RTR. The dress was beautifully made. You don't need to wear a bra, and the light really catches the gold tones throughout the dress.

This was a perfect fit for me, both in size and style. The embroidery is STUNNING, the fit is super-flattering, and the cut makes it stay in place all night with none of that awkward tugging. The print made it stand out, but the subdued colors kept it classy. A definite win.

I haven't been able to wear a strapless dress in 15 years, for the simple reason that I am busty and have always worried about having to pull up a dress. This dress was perfect. The built in structure worked great for me. In addition to being actually wearable, the dress is GORGEOUS. Will rent again without hesitation.

When I saw this dress it caught my eye and lived up to the expectations. I wore it to our school Gala. The purple was very subtle and gorgeous. Strapless dresses are usually hard for me to wear because I have a large rib cage and small top and hips. Even so, it was still a little large but the built in corset is great. I would like to wear this dress again!

I loved this dress and was sad to send it back! At first it seemed a little "busy" but once I put the shoes, jewelry and makeup on it all came together. The embroidery is stunning! It was a little big and I am glad I got a size down for the backup dress because that is what I wore. I am a 34B and needed the smaller size to make sure the dress stayed up. But the good news was I didn't need a bra with it. You are very well supported because of how it hooks in the back. Definitely get someone to help you put it on though. I received so many compliments at the New Year's Eve party I went to for looking classy and elegant and unique in a room of LBDs and short sparkly numbers....

The pic doesn't do justice on the material of this dress. The color of the embroidery is so elegant from gold to a rich dark purple. It is so beautiful! Would rent it again!

I was invited to a last minute Gatsby NYE Ball and had no idea what to wear. I went into a RTR store and the staff recommended this dress - it was perfect! I felt very comfortable and classy all evening. I received many compliments throughout the evening and it was the only dress of its kind in a sea of black flapper dresses. It isn't easy to tell from the picture but there are light purple colors in the fabric that make the gold pop. There is a built in bra, but doesn't offer much support, and thankfully there was enough room in the top that I could fit a strapless bra underneath. Overall the dress fit great in the waist, but was a little loose in the bust area. Overall, I would give it an A+!
