I wore this dress to a benefit gala that called for semi-formal attire. It was flattering and I received many compliments from unfamiliar faces. I was concerned that the sleeves would be tight (due to the material); however, I did not have any problems. I felt confident and comfortable in this dress all evening.

Really classic black dress. Lave long sleeves are very pretty. I’m 5’5”, 137 lbs. the size 4 fit, but the size 6 felt more comfortable.

I really liked this dress and got tons of compliments. The 8 fit me like a glove. It was very comfortable to move in. On the review I had to select "hourglass" as my body type, but I still have a bit of a belly. It was a form fitting dress so I did have to be conscious of my posture to hide the belly. Nonetheless, I felt beautiful in it.

Although the fabric is very stretchy, it is still rather fitted at the best, making it best for smaller cup sizes. However in the hips, the stretchy fabric allows for a comfortable feel. Because of the see-through neckline, a strapless bra must be worn to ensure no straps are visible. At 5’5, the hemline reached knee to tea length. Pair with sleek jewelry and black strappy heels to your night time event.

The dress was perfect for a semi formal wedding. I have a large chest(32F) and a strapless bra worked perfectly for this winner. It hit me right at the knee (I'm 5'5). I received many compliments all night.

I loved this dress! The sleeves were fit but not too snug which is a big concern for most of the dresses on this site. The lower part is stretchy but snug so I didnt need to wear my spanx. You will need a strapless bra for sure. I got so many compliments all night. It really hugs your waist making an hourglass figure out of any body type. Also the back is killer. My fiance says he wishes I would have bought it!

I typically wear a size 4 but thank goodness you get a second size for free. I also ordered a 2 and that is the size that fit. I am 5'4" and 115 lbs. Only issue was there was a small hole in the netting on one sleeve but no one noticed but me.

I rented this dress for a dance. I ordered a larger size because I'm full bust, but because I had to order a larger size for the bust, the actual dress on my body was a bit too big. Really nice, classy dress over all. Nice, high quality material.

This was a backup dress sent to me bc of an issue with my order. The material is soft and the fit was great but the decoration on the side of the arms looks like giant spiders. My 5-year-old said it “makes you look like a vampire or the lady that rides the elephants in dumbo.” Truth from the mouths of children. Take that for what you will. Didn’t wear it to the wedding. Maybe an October wedding or a funeral might be better suited for this dress.

This dress was a stunner at my holiday party. The illusion sleeves and bodice provided a little sex appeal and tattoo-like look and also kept my arms warm. I am a 56 year old woman, 5'7" and yoga-ish bod at 133 pounds. I felt like the 4 was perfect size - not too body conscious and age appropriate. The fabric was a little thin, but flexible and the length was perfect for my age. A strapless bra was a must and I did wear some shape-wear to keep it smooth. I did not need much jewelry and might have done well with an up-do to accentuate the back. I actually told my spouse that I would consider renting this again, since I was so pleased.

This updated little black dress was perfect for the gala, as it's dressy and elegant. The knee length looks modern while being warmer for fall. The fabric and black color are flattering, and I was able to skip the spanx, so I was comfy all night long. The size 6 fit well in the hips, but was a bit snug in the bust (I'm only a 36C, so it's cut small), so I wore the 8. I got so many compliments and felt great in this dress.

For me the sleeves were a bit short- but then I am tall. Not a deal breaker though. I ordered the 10 and it was too large- it fit fine but the smaller size would have been better. This dress needs the right kind of jewelry- as it can look sort of like a funeral. I wore elegant costume jewelry.

When my father passed away unexpectedly the last thing I wanted to do was shop and try on dresses. RTR was the perfect option to have dress options delivered to my door with a short notice. I also had to never worry about wearing the "funeral" dress again. I received so many compliments, and despite the circumstances still felt beautiful. Thank you not only for the amazing dress but the experience!

This was a back up dress for me. I loved the way it felt on my body. The fabric stretched, which I loved. I wasn't a huge fan of the length of the dress-since I am short, any dress I wear, the length is always weird on me, it just depends. The dress is beautiful, I just liked the other dress I ordered better for what I was wearing it too.

Everything was perfect. Dress was in good shape, it was packed well, and very easy to return. I received several compliments during the party.

This dress is absolutely STUNNING on! I wore this dress for my graduation and everyone complimented me on how beautiful it was! I had a bit of a mishap with the dress when I initially received it in the mail. There was a hole in the right upper arm and a button missing on the left sleeve. Also, I originally ordered a 4 (5'3, 135 lb. athletic build), which is my normal size but it was a little baggy. Nonetheless, I contacted RTR (Dolores is the BOMB) and sent photos of the dress (the hole and missing button) and mentioned that the dress was a little big and I could go down a size if the 4 wasn't available for delivery. I received the size 2 the following day and it fit like a dream! You won't regret this little number!

The 6 fit but 8 was better. The built in slip was longer than the dress. I added a safety pin to hold it up and it worked.

Flatering fit. Elegant and edgy. Like the longer length. A couple of small holes in mesh but still wearable. However I did not wear for my work Holiday party since I didn't think this black dress would stand out.

For a conservative orthodox wedding ceremony. It was so classy I received a ton of compliments. I loved the fit, only issue is the see-through area is tulle and there were some rips and holes on the one sleeve. Luckily I was able to wear since I was only in it for an hour. Rented this for a James Bond theme birthday party as it is similar to the dress in Spectre movie. So many compliments even from unknown people in restaurants and bars! Felt like a million $. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

I wore the 4, but I wish I wore the 2, as it stretches out a bit as you wear it. When you first put the dress on, it's tight around the bust area, but again, it stretches out s bit. Although I loved this dress, it is a little tough if you are busty at all. Despite that, it is a lovely and elegant dress--I received many compliments. I am happy I got it and I would wear it again! I usually wear a 2 or 4 dress, 26 jeans. This dress is pretty true to size.

This was sent in replacement of something they couldn't send me. They sent me a 4 (I usually wear a 2) and it was a little big so it wasn't flattering. I would say it runs true to size. The detail on this is pretty but just a little blah for my liking (the dress this replaced had all sequins). It is a good length and well made. The dress I got was brand new.

The dress overall is really pretty, I wish I had been able to wear it. The sleeves themselves are fine, but the dress has too much fabric in the bodice and was bunching on the sides/in the back. It made me look bumpy so I didn't end up wearing it for this reason.
