the only con I would say was that the neckline ran a bit too low for my taste, those with a larger bust be wary, it's pretty open! otherwise it was a perfect rental and I'll continue to rent here again!

I am 5'3" ....138 pounds and ordered the 6R, 6L, and 8L. I am a true size 6 in everything ....on occasion a 4 but this dress fit true to size. I wore the 6L because I like a high heel...ended up in a 4 inch heel and dress was perfect length. The color is a very deep navy ....almost can't tell if it's navy or black but I loved that and wore gold accessories to accent the gold belt. The neckline and dress itself draped so beautifully and the fabric was heavy with a bit of stretch. I would wear this again if I could get away with it....

I loved this dress. I wanted to keep it! I needed a long dress for a holiday black tie ball, but was worried about finding one long enough. This was long enough for me to wear with 4 inch heels (I am 6'0"). I loved the color (dark navy), the slit in the front, the gold belt, and the low cut front. I would recommend double sided tape for this one, as I think it would be difficult to wear a bra with this dress.

Another hit dress from RTW! The fit and the fabric of the gown was impeccable. I loved the gold belt at the waist. Fashion tape held the neckline in place and I was able to wear a strapless bra for added structure. I am 5'6" and the regular length with 3 inch heals was perfect. Thank you RTW for adding to my wonderful evening!

This dress fit SO perfectly, length and all. Well, I take that back, the belt was just a tad too big even on the shortest link, but it still looked fine. I wore 4 inch heels with it and it still came right to the ground. I paired it with long gold earrings and gold bracelets, no necklace. I love the style of this dress and wished I could've kept it! I used fashion tape to secure the top. It's THE MOST comfortable gown I've ever worn. Highly recommend.

I was disappointed that RTR listed this dress as running small and recommended anyone over 5'6" order the long length. The 4, which I normally wear, fit almost a little loose; a 6 would have been way too big. And while I'm 5'8" and wore 3" heels, the recommended long length was wayyyy too long. I even put on my tallest heels (5") and it still got caught in my shoes and dragged a good bit. I wound up having to use fashion tape to temporarily hem it, as RTR didn't have the regular length available for overnight delivery.

I'm 5'2" and it just grazed the floor with four inch heels. The slit only shoes leg when you are sitting down. It's a very nice heavy material and I was able to wear a bra with it without the straps showing, but it wasn't necessary. I got a ton of compliments on it.

I am 5'6 without heel, a 36B, wear a size 27/28 in jeans and have an athletic build. I usually wear a size 4 in formal dresses. This was true to fit. I wore 4 inch heels (making me 6'0) and the Long was still a little too long. I wouldn't recommend getting the Long unless you plan on being 6'2 or taller. The dress is beautiful and extremely comfortable and flattering. I received a TON of compliments. The only Con: The gold belt is what makes this dress. Given that I do not wear gold jewelry, I was on a last minute mad dash to find acceptable gold Jewelry. I had to spend a small fortune in jewelry in order to get the quality of gold that I needed to compliment the dress.

This dress is one of many that I've rented from RTR, but by far my favorite! So comfortable and flattering. I recovered compliments all night long and didn't worry about the dress once. My only advice is to invest in some tape for the bust, for the cowl neck likes to open up on you, showing the girls! I used tape and was good to go all night. I'm 5'8" and worse 4.5 inch heels and didn't have issues with the dress being too long. Renting this dress is a must!!!

It fit perfectly and was in great shape. It did however arrive without a belt. The customer service was very helpful and sent out another of the same dress in a different size so that I could get a belt, they were very clear that belts often don't make it though. It did arrive and there was no problem, they also sent a back up dress.

I am 5'6" and the 2R was perfect fit for me, usually wear a 2. I did not need to wear a bra (34c), enough structure to give minimal support and the drape fell perfectly on me to not reveal too much. I wore 4 " heels (black patent Steve Madden "Stecy" sandal) that worked perfectly with length / style of the dress. The dress was so comfortable too. I would rent this dress again and recommend it.

This was my first experience with RTR. Initially I ordered the 8L for the length and the 6L as a backup, but a few days before my event I was told it was damaged. I am a size 6 tall gal so it fit like a glove. I only wich it were longer. I wore 2" heels with it and they were fine. I had no trouble dancing either. The cowl is deep so I pinned it as the event was a church affair. The plit was modest, yet sexy all at once. The gold belt was great. A simply elegant dress. I received many compliments. I will definitely rent again. Thank you!!!

This dress was absolutely perfect and stunning for the black-tie wedding at which I wore it. It fit perfectly, and I've never felt more sexy or glamorous than I did in this dress. I was wildly complimented all night, and felt like a million bucks. Fit/Size: it fit me perfectly, and for perspective, I'm 5'4", 145 lbs, and a 34C/36B. It was long enough for pumps/heels, which I think were about 3". Tips: - use a little bit of fashion tape to keep the draping, low neckline in place. It's not totally necessary, but it meant I could lean over comfortably and confidently without completely exposing my chest/bra. - a racerback bra would be perfect, since the shoulders/back of the dress cut in just a little closer to shoulderblades. I ended up safety pinning the straps on my regular bra in the middle, but a racerback would've been perfect. - it's pretty clingy, so I wore spanks underneath to hide panty lines.

The dress fit perfectly, is very flattering and is such high quality. However the front is very low cut, which is a little risky when you're dancing or sitting down. I'm just under 5'5" and wore 3" heels and the regular length was just right. I definitely recommend this sophisticated dress and the Rent the Runway process was so smooth and easy so I'll definitely be renting again in the future. Who can resist the chance to wear designer dresses at a fraction of the cost?

it fit extremely well, but I found the dress was extremely low cut. which is nice, especially if you're going for the "american hustle" kind of look, but not so convenient if you have an B cup (like myself). overall it was a beautiful dress! definitely would rent it again!

Great dress and super flattering! It was very heavy and fit like a dream. It was nice to be able to wear a regular bra with it. I should not have ordered a L however! :-)

I am a contemporary glamour portrait photographer and I rented this dress for my client to wear as one of her looks for her session. The dress was true to fit--the size 4R fit her perfectly--the navy blue fabric looked amazing on her skin tone and the dress fabric felt high-quality with just enough stretch to follow her curves. The cut of the dress was extremely flattering--the low-cut scoop neck and high slit was both classy and sexy, and the thin gold belt brought the look together. I was so thrilled with my RTR experience and with this dress! I usually wear a 4-6, and I ordered both sizes (long). Either would have worked, but overall the 4 fit better, so I wore it. The dress is incredibly comfortable, and I loved that I could wear a bra with it. I got tons of compliments and was overall very pleased with my selection. The only cons: I really wished I had had a safety pin with me to adjust the cowl neck a little bit because it was incredibly low-cut. At 5'11, I could have used a few extra inches on the length since I wore 3" heels.

Loved this dress! I had ordered a different dress which wound up not being available. RTR sent me three other dresses to choose from and this one was my favorite! It's a deep navy and the cut is very flattering. I did use a bit of fabric tape to keep the top in place over my bra as it's a low scoop. I wish I owned it- would work for almost any formal occasion. Probably could have gone with the 8R instead of the long, but the 4 inch heels kept it from being underfoot. I wore it to an Oscar party and received many nice compliments. Would highly recommend.

Dress fit like a glove. I am short but the length was perfect with 4" heels. Only issue I had was with the neckline. It was very loose. There was no way I could have gone without fabric tape.

Fit is so comfortable and yet very sexy. Make sure your bra is a d v neck and not one with round cups. They would definitely show. The dress was a little long for me. I'm 5'4" and I wore moderately high heels. Otherwise loved this dress. Would rent again and wear a higher heel.

Overall fit was great. I'm 5'3" so the length was long & required some tall heels. It's a bit clingy so spanx are needed to feel polished, but a regular bra worked which was nice. There were some light spots in the dress perhaps from ironing? Only one belt did show up with the 2 sizes I rented so it may be good to have a back up plan if a belt doesn't arrive with the dress. It's overall a classy, beautiful dress. Glad I got the opportunity to wear it.

I absolutely loved this dress and wish I didn't have to send it back. I wore it to a black tie wedding and it was the perfect mix of comfortable and sexy. I wore a racer-back bra with some double sided tape and everything stayed in place. The slit isn't nearly as revealing as it is in the website picture. Color is a dark navy. Definitely worth the checking out!

I wore this for a black-tie wedding in New York in late September. The fabric and color was perfect for the weather and time of year. I love the gold belt and think it made the outfit. I wore the dress with a pair of gold strappy sandals. The dress fits true to size. I'm small-chested and needed fashion tape to keep the top from being indecent but the fabric stuck to the tape well. The dress was a bit longer than I would have liked. I unfortunately didn't try on the heels I was going to wear when I tried on the dress at the Rent the Runway store. With heels, I'm about 5'9" and the dress was dragging a bit on the floor. I received so many compliments and would definitely rent this dress again but maybe in the shorter length.

It fits great- true to size and relatively flowy. I am about 5'4" and was able to wear flats without it dragging so it may be an awkward length for someone in between the regular and tall height.

Dress is pretty but it doesn't stand out . RTR did not send the belt, this dress without the golden belt is way too plain. Ended up wearing my first choice.

Loved this dress from the second I saw it on the app and was very excited to wear it! When I first got the dress they only had it in one size and the stylist sent a different style dress. I did not like that one so I didn't even try it on! But the one dress I did receive was a fabulous fit! The one down side was no belt arrived which I was expecting after reading other reviews. I was prepared and had something for backup but I called customer service and they had one they overnighted to me! Completely made the dress. Would highly recommend taping the chest area so it's not showing off the assets when bending over. The fabric was very slimming and being on the heavier side I felt it was very forgiving! And definitely get the petite size if under 5'5, I'm 5'3" and with the petite length it hit the floor perfectly! As a bigger girl I felt amazing in this dress!!!

Awesome dress for hourglass figure girls! I am almost 5'3" and wore 4 inch heels and the dress fit perfect. It shows cleavage. You may need Body tape. Everyone loved my dress!!

This dress would look fabulous on anyone. The draping is incredible. Loved the dark navy color. I am 5'8, 145 lbs and I ordered the L length. Even with 4 1/2 inch heels it was still too long! Eek. I called RTR and was advised to try hem tape. It worked like a charm though it wasn't the cleanest look, but you couldn't tell in the dark light at the reception. The belt came with a broken clasp and was in rough shape - brassy, worn and overall a total disappointment. Even if it had not been broken I would never have worn this belt. I didn't have a suitable replacement so I went belt less and it still looked great. Earrings also came broken (???) but RTR overnighted me a replacement. I'd rent this dress again in a R length.

This dress was perfect. Formal enough for a black tie wedding, but not overly dramatic. I just love this dress and hope I have to rent it again. If you're thinking about this dress, get it!

The dress looks good on all sizes, but beware, the slit is high and the neckline is low.

This dress is very pretty and flattering. The deep cowl neck does need to be taped down because if you lean over, everything shows. It is low, but it does not show too much when standing straight up. I thought the size 2 would be too small on me and that the belt would be unflattering but it is pretty. The belt did arrived discolored and tarnished but it doesn't bother me because no one will notice it. Very comfortable dress and great length for short heels or 3" heels.

This dress made me feel sexy but at the same time was appropriate for a military occasion. I liked that I could wear my bra and not have to worry with a strapless. The dark blue was a nice change from black. I'm sure some people thought it was black throughout the evening but we took pictures outside and they turned out really nice.

Absolutely loved this dress. Perfect match for long, lean frames. Simple lines make it striking. Will note the gold belt is losing its luster and color, but otherwise it is the absolute perfect rental.

Great dress. The fabric drape was excellent and it hugged all the curves in the most flattering ways. Got lots of compliments! Only complaint is that the length was pretty long (though I'm on the shorter side - 5'3"). Easily addressed by scooping it up before walking though. Would recommend it without reservation!

The fit was perfect, not too tight but still accentuates the curves. I'm 5'3 and wore 4" heels and it still grazed the floor a bit. The cowl does drape pretty low (which I actually liked) but you just need fashion tape to keep your bra out of sight. FYI - On the picture you can see the slit, but keep in mind that it won't really show even as you walk. It only shows when you sit with your legs crossed :) All in all, I highly recommend this dress and would definitely rent again!

I am 5'11" and 148lbs this dress was a great fit. I ended up not wearing it because it was a little too sexy for the school event I was attending but would definitely consider wearing/renting for another function. Things to note:would need to wear sticky boob cups with this and would definitely not be able to cheat and wear flats given the slit in the front.

Normally wear an 8, not available during rental so went 1 size up. It was a bit big but still worked because of the style and belt. Very comfortable, lots of complements. I wore it to a formal wedding.

I rented two looks for the Military Ball I was attending with my husband. I wore this one because as soon as I tried it on my husband said, "The other one is nice but you look hot in that!" For me it was a no brainer after that.

This dress was shipped with another one as alternates for a dress that was too big. It fit perfectly, but I chose the other dress as this was way too much!
