Four days before my son's wedding I decided I hated the $300 dress I bought which I also had professionally tailored to add shirred sleeves and fit like a glove. Found renttherunway.com, rented this dress and was absolutely and positively pleased that I did so! I received so many compliments and felt like a million bucks! I will NEVER buy a one-time-wear dress again! Thank you so very much!!! Just as a side note, I am 5'7.5" and definitely needed the long length. This dress was a perfect maternity dress for a black tie occasion. I wore it to my fathers wedding on Valentine's Day. I got so many compliments. It fit a pregnant belly perfectly. I usually wear a size 8 long or 10 long. I'm 5'9" and at 31 weeks pregnant 170 lbs. I originally rented another dress that didn't work, but Rent the Runway overnighted me two other dresses to pick from. Excellent customer service! I highly recommend this dress and the company in general.

The fit is true to size. I am full figured and often have trouble getting a dress to fit my larger bust and smaller waist. This fit the bill perfectly. I ordered a 14W and 16W (just in case) - but wish I had trusted my instincts and ordered both 14W regular and long lengths. The regular length dress came just to the top of my foot - I would have preferred a bit more length. All in all this was a wonderful experience. I will definitely be recommending and using Rent the Runway again.

This dress was a replacement dress after my first dress didn't fit. I was hesitant to select this dress because I had passed it up several times while searching for a gown to wear to a wedding. Didn't really think it was my style and flattering. But when my selected dress didn't fit with less than 24 hours until my event, I figured I would give it a try. The dress was amazing! Loved it the first moment I put it on. I got it in 18W but should have went with my true size as the dress fits true to size and has a little stretch. I felt amazing, got plenty of compliments and it confirmed for me that I will always use RTR for formal dresses. Overall an excellent experience, not only with the dress, but the RTR staff as well!

I had ordered another dress and it was too small so I called RTR and the sent out the original dress that I wanted but wasn't in stock. It came it fit it looked fantastic! I felt like a million bucks. Everyone thought so!!!

This was a very beautiful dress. The fit was true to size and the touch of spandex made it very forgiving. The fabric was very luxurious and was impeccably made. I received so many compliments and I felt very glamorous in this dress.

I thought I was a size 18 based on the measurements provided, but turns out a 16 would have been perfect (which is my normal size). However, even though the dress was a bit baggy, it was not noticeable, so I wore it anyway. I'm 5'9", wore kitten heels, and the length was perfect. It would have been truly stunning had I trusted the "true to size" comment, but I received many compliments nonetheless!

The fit was good, definitely not too tight. I wondered if there had been a size 12W if that would have fit best. I'm 5"6 and 175 lbs. I ordered Tall vs Regular based on the chart as I just made Tall at 5"6. It was a bit long. My heels were probably 3 inches, I may have had to wear super high heels to accommodate the length. But better that than a highwater dress! Had a lovely time for my 50th birthday. Thanks so much!

Wore this for a photo shoot and it was so comfortable and a perfect fit that I bought it. Classic dress.

I am 5'3" and the regular length was just a bit too long, would have ordered the petite of it was available. The dress was beautiful and being fully lined prevented any clinging. I liked the coverage the sleeves provided.

Glamorous

I wore this at 7 months pregnant to a black tie event in December. I was hesitant about the sleeves but I loved them! Perfect for the season and covering up my arms that I'm self conscious about.

Dress was comfy and stretched so I felt great sitting down and dancing. I worn spanx and felt appropriately dressed for the black tie wedding. It is a knit dress, so it did not wrinkle and it arrived in the packaging unscathed. I tried on the dress at the RTR Chicago location so I did not need a back up dress. Have a few other weddings, so will definitely rent for them as well.

I received a lot of compliments on this dress. It looks black in the picture but it's actually navy blue. It was really comfortable and didn't wrinkle during travel.

This dress was absolutely elegant and beautiful. I had purchased two mother of the bride dresses months before the wedding but was not in love with either of them. When I went online to check out what Rent the Runway had in my size, I fell in love with this dress. It was perfect! The sheer sleeves covered my arms and it fit perfectly. The V-neck was very flattering as I am heavy on the top. The best part was the length was perfect! I am only 5'3" and didn't need to wear really high heels. It was so easy to order, I called, and the very next day my size was delivered to the store in Las Vegas where I live. I rented this two days before the wedding! I could not have been happier! I will be back!

Long so wear heels, sleeves help with any issues you may have with your arms and allows you not to have to wear a scar of something else to cover up.

Very pretty dress with a flattering fit. Material had give, which made it especially comfortable. I'm 5'6", and the dress length would have been too short for me with high heels . Fortunately, I found flat, jeweled sandals at Zappos that matched beautifully.

I was invited at very (VERY - as in 4pm for a 6pm event) short notice for a Gala and was so lucky that we have a RTR storefront in NYC. When I first saw this on the hanger I thought it would be way too frumpy, and I'm totally not a rhinestone person, but when I tried it on it was absolutely perfect. Very flattering of all my curves (and lumps and bumps), plenty of room in the busy area, and the sleeves were roomy and flattering. I'm pretty solidly a 16, and my only complaint was that the dress was a bit too big - I had some gapping at the bust (which could have been fixed with the right bra or a pin, but I was in a rush!). A beautiful dress for a lovely night. Thanks so much to the RTR staff in the NYC store for getting me all set so quickly.

Very nice and clean, but wore a different styleto the event. 16W was just a little too big.

i wish I would have double checked the rent the runway sizing chart. I went off my normal size that I would purchase in a dept store and forgot that better cloths are usually a size smaller. this dress still fit and looked great but I could have gotten it a size smaller and would have felt better in the dress. the dress was great quality and exactly as pictured. worked well for large bust and larger waist.

Nice deep navy blue color and the sheer sleeves were perfect in the hotel air conditioning without having to fuss with a wrap or shawl.

It fit beautifully and enhanced my body in all the right places while still hiding that post baby paunch.

Fit was great, color was true to picture. The fabric was a little different than I expected but it was still a good fit and perfect for the occasion.

True to size. Good for large bust with empire waist detail. I normally wear a 16-18, and this 18 was a bit large, even in the bust. I am a 34 JJ.

Dress was perfect for the black tie wedding I attended. Not over the top and not understated....just perfect.

The dress was nice. The style is very forgiving and was a nice weight for a cool spring night. The dress fit true to size. However, it was just a tad too short. Based on a review I read for someone that was 5'6" that wore a long, I decided to go with the Regular length as I am 5'5". I should have gone with the long but I was able to wear it with kitten heels so it wasn't too bad.

This dress looks amazing in the picture, but the fit is pretty matronly in real life. I am a D cup, and the bust was huge on me. Had I worn it to my event, i would have needed some sort of camisole just to look semi-modest. The waist area is very tight and unforgiving. I measured myself and two well fitting dresses very carefully before renting, and neither size I got came close to fitting. I believe it is the cut of the dress though- the bottom is cut very tight, and the top is quite large. The dress is beautiful, and well made, but one of the zippers kept sticking- which made me very nervous that I would rip the dress. It is just not ideal for am apple, like me.

Thanks to the awesome RTR stylist... first dress I tried on... one and done! On my feet for hours in 90 plus degree heat... thought this might be too heavy... wasn't....Was at work in this dress at 5:30 AM the next morning and was still getting compliments. Hides a multitude of "sins" without looking like a sack.... what my family members say I wear too often.

Since this was my first time using RTR,, I was worried that the dress wouldn't fit (and there were no other sizes available so I couldn't order a back up size.) I am 5'2" tall and wore 1 inch heels. The dress was the perfect length! As others have said, it was very comfortable. The neckline was a bit low, so I used dress tape to make sure that my bra wouldn't show. I don't have a picture because the lighting at the ball was poor and the picture came out very dark. But I received many compliments on the dress and will definitely use RTR again.

Loved the dress. I have smaller shoulders so I needed to do some pinning in the bust area as a result but it was great. Its not as flowy on the bottom as the picture and slightly more form fitting but it was very, very comfortable and very nicely made.

It ran a little large, so I'm glad I got the free extra size smaller! I got a ton of compliments on the dress and it was the perfect length with 3 inch heels. Felt very glamorous.

I got the 18 and 16, because all the other dresses I have had to go up a size to fit. This was a perf3ct 16. I could have worn the 18, but it wasn’t nearly as flattering
