The gown for my daughter was a true Size 4 fit. We rented the 4 Long, because the 4 Regular wasn't available. Initially worried about it being too long, but with a pair of sandals that had a 2 1/2" heel, the length was perfect!! My daughter looked and felt beautiful! That made for a fun Senior Prom evening with friends that she hadn't seen all year due to the pandemic. My daughter is not really in to the "dress-up" scene so this was a perfect solution!! Would definitely consider again - in fact, will probably rent same dress for her Senior Piano recital next month.

The material of the dress is a bit stretchy so it accommodated my petite and curvy frame perfectly. The length was perfect for me but I am 5'0" so a taller woman might want to get the L size. I also loved that it comes with a sewn-in bodice.

When I received the first two they were totally different. The first was the gold formal length. The second was blue hi/lo, both in 10 R. I had read all the reviews because of my size, shape. The zippers were hard and they stuck (which was stated numerous times) but I didn't remember reading they were snug through the middle. They were and the blue was a heavy gown ( I think I remember reading that, also). I called customer service on Friday at 1p, the day before my event. They didn't have the gold in the next size, so she sent me two sizes in another of my favorites that arrived the day of my event at 1030am! So impressed with customer service. Those were just too much sequins for me. I went with the very first and just wore a lot of Spanx. Also, there were at least 3 other of the same sequined dress at the event. Maybe, there could be a way to ask what event the renter is attending so there won't be the duplication. Overall, as a first timer this was a great experience.

I wore this for my brother's wedding and it was perfect! It was on the short side (I am 5'2" and found short heels.) like others have said, I had to use fashion tape for bottom hem. I for so many compliments!

It was very comfortable and the fit and length was perfect with heels. I felt like royalty!

I'm 5'10" and ended up wearing the 6R because the only thing long about the 6Long size was the under dress, and it hung below the lace in the front of the gown. I wore 3" heels and it hit my ankles. Beautiful fit, surprisingly did not rub in the armpits or cause any chafing. Can be worn with any undergarments. The sparkle is a gold/silver mix to my eyes in real life, but it doesn't show up silver in photographs. Perfect bridesmaid dress.

Great fit, felt very glamorous. the lining did show a little but I pinned the hem up a little. Comfortable and light to dance in. Since I got the long length I wore 3.5" heel.

I wore this dress to a charity ball. It was stunning! I love that it was sparkly, yet also conservative (necessary for this event) and classy. TALL LADIES: make sure to order the L (long) size! I am 5'10 and still had to wear flats with the L -- the R (regular) size would have been way too short.

First time using RTR and it was great! Received 2 sizes just in case, and the original size fit perfectly! Received many compliments throughout the night and felt glamorous. Was so happy to see a fully labeled and paid for bag to return it in - so easy. Well thought out service and will definitely be using it again!

I wore this gorgeous dress to a wedding, it was just perfect. So many women loved my dress .. Of course including my husband. I was expecting the fit would not be true to size given some reviews, so I ordered the size 2R, even though I usually wear a 0. I did order a size 0 but for some reason it wasn't shipped at all. I need to talk to them about that. The dress was loose from the waist. I think the size 0 would have fit perfect. The height was perfect for my height and I wore 3 1/2 inch heels. The dress looked spectacular overall. It's so light weight, easy to dance with. I felt Absolutely lovely in this dress.

It fit true to size for me. The 6R and the 8R both fit, but the 8 gave me a little more room when I sat down and it was a little more forgiving around the tummy area. The length worked perfect as well, i'm 5'6 and i wore 4" heels and it hit just right!

This was my first time renting from RTR and I had actually ordered a different dress, but when the ordered dress was too small, they let me come in to their Flatiron store and pick a dress to swap it with. This dress was perfect and very flattering. I am 5'3" and usually a size 4, and the 6R fit great - even the length was fine with a pair of 3" heels.

In a bridal party of 4, we each rented a different RTR dress for my sister's wedding. This was the perfect dress for a church ceremony and an all-night party. We received so many complements all night!!

This dress fit perfectly. I had ordered a size four and six, the six just to be safe. The neckline was perfect, coming just to my collarbone. The beading on the dress was just as beautiful in person as it was online. The dress wasn't tight at all, it was comfortable for me to dance in at prom all night! The only slightly bad things was that it was a little long for me being 5'3", I had to hold it up while I was dancing, so I wish there was a "short" option. Overall I am beyond happy with this dress!

This dress was so comfortable! I was 15 weeks pregnant when I ordered the dress and I was going to be 17 weeks while wearing it. I am usually a 4L but I needed to size up for the tummy area. Had I not been pregnant and just got my normal size it would have been perfect too. I am also LDS and this was a modest dress that was still classy and fashionable. I was also able to wear a shade that looked as it was part of the actual dress.

I was so pleased with this dress. It was very forgiving, very comfortable, and very easy to wear. I wore my usual size and wore it with a regular nude bra, which was not at all apparent through the dress. I'm 5'6" and I wore 3" heels and it was a little on the shorter side--a reasonable length, but not touching the floor as in the model photo. The stretchiness of the fabric really made it easy to stay comfortable the whole evening and I appreciated that the dress was glamorous enough to let me feel polished and beautiful next to my husband in his tuxedo at a black tie wedding, but it is appropriately conservative for me as a 34-year-old mother of twins.

I wore this gown for a 1945 Wartime themed Gala and it was perfect! Not only was the gown glamorous, it was comfortable and allowed me to swing dance the night away! I'm 5'9", wore the Long length and still had to wear flats with the dress to achieve the look of the model (dress hitting floor). Highly recommend this dress for a classic look!

The fit was perfect. I did wear a tummy smoother under just keep the dress from clinging to my belly button. It was comfortable and beautiful. I also rented the belt just to make the look a little more special.

"You look like an Oscar statue" - random wedding guest. The dress is amazing- so comfortable, beautiful, sparkly, and perfect for the fall wedding in New Hampshire. Update: 10/20/15 I rented this dress a second time because I loved it so much the first time and I was attending a fall wedding in Maine. The dress was still beautiful, however, the dress was too short this time. I know I haven't grown in the past year, so maybe the dress shrunk a bit, or maybe the actual dress was a different one than last time...I don't know.

I went to an Arabic wedding where your chest/back/legs etc need to be covered. Usually I buy a dress and then have it tailored to cover it all up but this dress was perfect. Didn't need to do anything. It was a little loose on my waist but I usually have that problem since my chest and butt are large and my waist is small. It was comfortable, elegant yet simple. I would definitely rent again.

I'm 5'1 and was really worried that the dress would be too long. I ended up wearing a 4R and a three inch heel. With the heels the dress was the perfect length. The dress runs true to size and it overall pretty flattering.

Fit: It was a beautiful fit! Easy to move in, but still skimmed my curves in a flattering way. Length: I'm 5'1.5", and I wore 3.75 inch heels, and the dress was still a bit too long. Next time, I'd go for 4 or 4.25 inch heels. But honestly, it was nothing that I couldn't handle. Color: This dress is NOT like it looks in the picture. It's more like a beige, semi-bronze color with silvery details, but either way, the color is gorgeous. Comfort Level: So easy to move and dance in. The material is lightweight. My Overall RTR Experience: This was my first time renting from RTR, and needless to say, I was nervous. But my dress actually arrived earlier than the target date and the stylist / customer service is very efficient and very friendly! Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I'm in love with RTR! Misc: I received compliments all night! My prom's theme was "Party at Gatsby's" and everyone kept saying how well my dress translated the 1920s into a more modern era. I absolutely loved it! Can't wait to rent again!

I usually wear a 4, so I got both a 2 and a 4 and the 2 fit perfectly; it was even a long without heels. So I'd size down for sure! I loved this dress, and I had another great RTR experience!

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding and loved it. It definitely ran small - I wore the larger size - but it was SUPER comfortable and something different than what I normally wear. The only drawback was that sometimes my heel would get caught in the bottom of the dress while I was dancing. I wore Spanx because I like to smooth my middle section but you could get away without them. I wore the 10L and the length was perfect with three inch heels. The material is light and I felt like I was dressed up perfectly for the event. I'm really glad I went a bit out of the box and went for it - loved it!

It was a great fit, might be a little long if you arent wearing 3 in+ heels. Overall an amazing dress.

I loved this dress -- it was so comfortable while fitting and flattering my figure so perfectly that I didn't want to take it off! The 8L was definitely TOO long for me at 5'7"; even wearing really high heels I still had to hold the skirt any time I walked. Other than that, an absolutely fabulous gown that got lots of compliments and made me feel like a million bucks. I highly recommend it!

The fit was perfect the dress was kind of long considering I'm 5'2 and had a small heel but other than that perfect!

I really enjoyed this dress overall. The color was less gold than pictures made it seem. There was more silver accents and had to wear silver shoes and jewelry to match. I ended up wearing the 6R for the length as it is short, even for my 5'4". I wore a strapless bra- 34A and flats to keep the length perfect. I wouldn't rent again for the short factor and coloring of the dress. I did get a lot of compliments and it was easy to dance in.

My model was 5'6 and wore 3" heels, the dress was just about the right length for her height. Photo included. The dress was not for me, but a model I'm 5'0 and would probably have been too long even with heels

The fit was fantastic! It hugged my curves, but was still loose enough to move without difficulty. And the length was really great too. I was able to wear flats and have the effect that the dress was just skimming the ground (which I think is the intended effect). My one complaint, which I noticed other people had too, is that the lining is too long for this dress. Fortunately though, this is an easy fix with a little fashion tape along the hemline.

The dress is gorgeous, my husband loved it. But I didn't wear it because the hem was so raggedy and shorter than I had hoped. At barely under 6 foot the hem was a good few inches off the floor barefoot (please excuse my barefoot photo) and sadly the bottom layer was noticeably longer than the delicate top layer. Other than the length the dress fits exceedingly well and would be very comfortable to wear for an event.

So happy I got this gown!

I rented this dress for prom! As a first-time RTR user, I was afraid of something going wrong! Luckily, nothing did! I primarily ordered the size 6R and 4R but eventually switched the sizes while shopping for my prom shoes in fear of my dress being to short for my heels. Great choice! This dress runs small (as in height) so its better to go with the longer length when it comes to sizes 6 and 4. That night, I wore 4.25 inch strappy heels (two straps at the ankle and two over the toes). I also accessorized with a boxy rectangular clutch. My dress also came two days in advance! When I tried it on, I realized that the 6L fit much better than the 4L but the latter fit better with my dress and was about 1/2 inch longer. IT mattered in the end because having more length gave the dress and the overall look so much more elegance. Regardless, I had a wonderful night! I received a number of compliments about my dress and my whole outfit in general. It was splendid night! Couldn't have done it without this dress (and RTR, of course)!

I wore this dress to prom and was very pleased with it! I would definitely say size down, my only regret about the dress was that I wish it was a little more fitted, since the cut is conservative. It was the perfect height (I'm 5'7, wore 3.5 inch heels).

The 4R fit perfectly, but it was a little tight and I wanted a bit more breathing room to eat and dance. The 4 and the 6 worked equally well. The 4 had that bit of overlay at the bottom of the dress whereas the 6 did not, so I did not have to alter the dress in any way. I loved every minute of wearing this dress, and it received tons of compliments. It shone subtly in the sunlight, which I loved. It was comfortable and hugged my body in just the right way. I didn't feel like I had to squeeze into this dress at all. I would highly recommend this dress!
