My measurements; Bust 35, Waist 28, Hips 37, and a height of 5'5. I knew I should order the long since I was planning on wearing 5 inch heels. I usually wear a 4, but the dress is very stretchy & forgiving haha. A 2 fit perfect, but without shoes it was a perfect length.. And with my heels on it just looked awkward. The 4L seemed to fit just a tat but looser on my hips but the length was exact with my heels. I paired the dress with Dramatic earrings, and it was just enough to compliment each other. Awesomeeeee <3

I wore this dress to a formal event. The texture of the dress wasn't too much. The drop on the back made this very simple dress classy. I am 5'1 and wore two inch heels with this dress. Got so many compliments! The dress isn't too heavy and I wore a Nubra with it. I was afraid that the dress wasn't formal enough but it definitely proved me wrong. It fit perfectly!

This dress was picked out with the help of an RTR stylist after my original dress became unavailable. initially they sent me two dresses but not in long. Had to contact Customer Service who promptly hooked me up with a wonderful stylist. Great David Meister gown. The fabric is unique, it has a texture. Super comfortable and the back of this dress is the highlight!! Loved the color...unique and different from all the other LBDs in the room. Love RTR❤️

The dress seemed to be a quarter of a size (is that a thing?) big on me, especially in the chest (I'm 32b and wore a size 2). No big deal. The little V on the neck line was a little floppy, but given that this dress is a year or two old, totally understandable. I fashion-taped it to my collarbone & it was smooth sailing. I wore this for the 2014 USMC Ball. This is my third RTR rental and I still love this place. The color and texture on this dress are what make it shine, but the low back helps. I paired it with some plain heels I had ( you can't seem my feet anyhow), and some simple, elegant rose gold accessories.

This dress fit very well! It was form fitting and had a lot of stretch. I am usually a size 4 but I was able to wear the 2L and I could have even worn the 0L. The collar did flap down a little (pictured) and I kept stepping on the train but it wasn't that bad. The dress is shorter in the front and I wore 3in heels with it and it looked great! I have a long torso so the back was not that low for me (pictured) I did not wear a bra with this dress, it is a thick material and wasnt necessary. Overall this dress was a hit and I got tons of compliment on how classy it was!

This was a very classy dress! The high neck and the low back made this dress sexy but still sophisticated and modest. I wore a nubra (my first time wearing one) which worked fine. Probably could have gone without a bra, but I don't feel comfortable personally without one. I wore the long dress, with 3 1/2 inch heels and the back drug slightly on the ground. Be advised this dress has a slight high low, so the front is shorter than the back! I wore Spanx just to keep everything looking tight, but probably wasn't necessary.

No adjusting anything during the night, perfect legnth with heels and I received a ton of complements. So simply elegant. #homecomingqueen

This dress was so comfortable, got tons of complements. The only thing that bothered me was the collar didn't stand up like in the online picture but it looked fine in my pictures. This is my first time using RTR loved it, I am already selecting my holiday dress and NYE dress.

This dress was completely unreal! I got endless compliments from everyone at the wedding. It's super elegant, beautiful, and simple. The back is absolutely stunning as well! I will say the front flaps near the neck were definitely flapped down upon arrival, however it was barely noticeable. Also, the dress goes higher on the neck than the picture... please check out my photos! I wore about 4-5 inch shoes and it was perfect. The back IS longer than the front and i stepped on it only a couple times. I recommend this dress 100%! I felt like a princess!!! :)

I never wear tight, body con dresses, but I took a chance with this one for a formal black tie event, and I'm glad I did! I was looking for a dress that was understated (didn't want to draw attention), but still had a little spice to it, and so this one fit the bill. The material on the hanger is heavy, but once on, I didn't notice the weight of the fabric. This means that, although the dress hugs every part of your body, the material is think and durable, and felt comfortable while walking around the room, while eating, and while dancing. The swirls add a little bit of texture to an otherwise simple dress. I wore the 4R, and at 5'2 I wore about 2 inch heels and you could see the beginning of my toes. I think that a higher heel would have made the dress too short. The 6R was long enough then, but you can tell the difference when you wear the dress that the 6R was a little more lose in the straps and in the back. The 4R looked really sleek on me and I could still eat a lot (this is important to me). I didn't have any problems with the back being low, but I had to make sure that I held the dress when getting into/out of the car and when walking up/down stairs as not to step on the fabric. Really enjoyed the dress and how it made me feel!

My original dress didn't fit so RTR overnighted this dress to me in time for my event. It was a great dress--very comfortable and glamorous. I received many compliments and couldn't be happier.

This dress was Amazing! It fit snug and hit all your curves. I wore a light spandex under garment and I taped my bra to me and the dress. This dress is very elegant, perfect for a black tie New Years Eve wedding.

Beautiful dress! This dress has a very sophisticated shape, is very fitted throughout but has a lot of stretch making it very comfortable and easy to wear. I wore it with the Nubra seamless adhesive bra which is my go-to bra for backless dresses. I'm 5'8" and L length was perfect. Highly recommend this dress!

This dress was SO comfortable. I could have probably worn a 0l, as the dress is quite stretchy, but that is what makes it so comfortable! As said in the other reviews, the front down flap down a little, but mine stayed down the whole night and did not bother me. I had a cold at this event and just wanted to crawl back in to be, so it was very convenient for me that this dress was so delightful! This is a dress I would own and, if we get transferred, will probably rent again to wear to another ball. I got a ton of compliments and love to tell the ladies about RTR. If we go to at least 3 events like this a year, it can really add up. Military ladies, spread the word!

This dress would be great for someone who has an hourglass figure. The color was gorgeous and the designs on the dress are subtle but beautiful nonetheless. The dress does run big.. I am usually a 4 and I wore a 2L. It was big on me. Also, the front collar flaps always fall down so fashion tape would be a great idea. The low cut back is the highlight of the dress and it looks very elegant. I wore this dress to my high school senior prom and I felt like I was wearing a million dollar dress! I would recommend this dress but be sure to get a smaller size.

This dress fit very well, it was just long enough that I could wear 3in wedges with it. I got many compliments on the dress, it was classy yet sexy so appropriate for a church wedding. I felt beautiful in it and loved the color and texture. The only thing was that the points at the neckline right below my chin didn't stay up, they flopped over no matter what I did to them. That was a bit annoying but nothing huge.

Overall dress fit very well--could have been a little longer for my taste but friends said it fit perfectly, 8 L fit overall better but wore 10 L for length, front flaps didn't stand up but was hardly noticeable, Front was a little to understated for my taste but I can see why--back of dress is stunning and makes up for it, wore 1.5 inch heels although I prefer at least 3 inch heels, wore nubra and spanks--neither were visible

This dress is actually a very simple but elegant dress and the material makes it really comfortable to wear for hours. I would strongly suggest some bold accessories if the event is a formal one simply because the dress is really simple.

It was very comfortable and pretty stretchy. I wore two sizes up because I needed it to be long enough with 4-1/2 inch heels on. It was still a little short in the front but longer in the back (which is why I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars). The neck flap drooped a little bit but it wasn't that big of a deal. I got a lot of compliments on how elegant it was and the color and obviously the back was gorgeous! I highly recommend this dress. Just keep in mind that if you're tall you might want to go up a few sizes.

The dress I originally ordered was damaged so RTR sent this one to me instead! I am so glad they did! This dress is stunning and so elegant. The color is so rich and looks great with gold jewelry. I chose to wear the 6 because I felt more comfortable. This dress is quite form fitting so if you don't quite like that fit I suggest sizing up. The fabric is super stretchy and I felt comfortable wearing it all night. Thanks again RTR, another fabulous rental and amazing customer service!

I was in love with this dress. I decided to get the 12L, I usually wear a 10L. I could have worn the 10L because it was somewhat loose but not too bad. The only disappointing part about this dress it the flaps on the collar do not stay up. However, I chose to tuck them in which created a very small V cut which looked nice and at least eliminated the droopy flaps. Great dress!

The material was very comfortable but not super forgiving. Shape wear would be a good idea, if needed. I word an Umbra for the first time - it worked great with this dress. The length and the scoop back really made this dress double as a formal gown. The color is perfect for the holidays. The material was thick enough to keep me warm - I didn't need a throw (and I am usually always cold). The 4 fit fine but I felt it revealed my imperfections more than the 6. The 6 helped with that issue, but the straps were a bit baggy when sitting. Overall, it was a beautiful dress and perfect for a company holiday party at a museum.

My daughter wore this for her Prom and had compliments galore! Classy, elegant,and regal were some of the compliments she received. She is 5'5", athletic build, and a size D. The 4R fit the same as 6R but she felt it was a little bit shorter so she went with the 6R and wore flats. If you are wanting to wear heels I wouldn't get the regular. Also the 4R V split laid forward not flat. I would definitely order another dress from here!

Beautiful, elegant dress. Very true to size. A deep wine, burgundy color with attractive pattern. Enough give to fit but not too tight. I would definitely recommend this if you were looking for an elegant, classy evening dress.

Although the deep burgundy color doesn't show up well in photos (appears black), in person the color and pattern are very clear. I wore this to the opera and it attracted a lot of attention, but was still very classy and sophisticatedly simple. It was form fitting but not tight and was very comfortable to sit and move in. Be careful with bracelets because they could snag the dress!

I am usually a 0, but neither were available for the dates I needed it. But I loved this dress so much so I decided to take a risk and go with the 2R. While it was slightly loose, it wasn't noticeable and still worked. The only frustrating thing was the collar. As others have stated, the flaps were folded. I tried to fix it w/ fabric tape. While I got the left to stay, it wasn't really comfortable to have tape since it slightly restricted my movements. The right flap was too stubborn. Other than that, the dress was gorgeous. The subtle swirls are unnoticeable in dark light. The back wasn't as low as I had expected; I wore an adhesive bra. However, in the end I decided to go with another dress because of the stubborn right collar flap.

didn't feel as nice as it looked

This would be the perfect dress if not for the cut around the belly area. There is a seam that makes it poof out and look less than flattering if you don't have a six pack. I opted for my backup dress. The color, however, is wonderful, as is the material.

It fit very well, although I did not end up wearing this dress for my gala since I had ordered several to try on. It was a great fit for size 2, very stretchy probably gives to most shapes

I wanted to wear this dress for pictures my husband and I were taking in the fall. The dress runs pretty large. The reason I didn't wear it is because the neckline drooped quite a bit. I also felt that it didn't do much for my figure.

The size 6R fit best. It requires NuBra, as described. I only didn't wear it because the other dress I'd ordered was better. The little flaps or cut neckline was flopped over on one side a bit. May have been something I could have ironed out but didn't have that option. The fabric is wonderful as is the color. Having trouble entering the overall rating but I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. Would recommend wearing Spanx unless you have a completely flat tummy. ( which I don't.)

Fit perfectly, the small v in the front, did fold up a little bit, but I just ironed it - though it was a little floppy - I almost wish it had the little plastic pieces that go in button down shirts for me. But the fabric was so soft, the fit was perfect and it just hung well, the straps were fit so they didn't slide off my shoulders, and I just really loved the dress (and got lots of compliments!!) Would rent again!

This dress fit perfectly. The fabric has a little give to it so its not totally binding and forcing you to feel like you have to "suck it in" the whole night!

The thick, stretchy fabric made this dress fit like a glove without showing lumps ;) didn't have to wear my spanks! The open back and mermaid shape amped up the hot factor to offset the somewhat modest color and neckline. I have a curvy derrière with a little waist and this dress fit perfect. I was super comfortable all night long and got several compliments on the dress.

Fit well- hugged curves and was forgiving in the right places. The thick fabric wasn't too warm. I'm 5'6 and probably weighed 140 when I wore it, and it was too short by a couple inches. If I had gotten the 6L it would have been perfect. Overall a great dress- I felt very confident and was comfortable in it.

I felt the style and the fit was well represented in photos and I echo other opinions that the dress material is thick/heavy. I was disappointed that the neckline didn't lay flat on either the 2 or 4. The neckline on the 4 was a little better.
