I'm a member of a small community theater group and we have a Tony award viewing party, Meet Me at the Tonys. We have a red carpet with interviewers, interviews are broadcast live on our local public television station, paparazzi, and a professional photographer. We watch the Tonys on a large screen while we enjoy appetizers, raffles, auctions, trivia. It's lots of fun!!

Attended charity Gala event in this beautiful dress. Felt absolutely gorgeous in this dress and received tons of compliments! I'm 5'9 and was a bit worried about length, but the 4L just barely reached the ground with 3" heels so I was happy. Would have been more comfortable with a little more length. It was a little roomy in the chest, but fashion tape held it on. Fabulous experience with RTR, makes life so easy!

As everyone has said, the dress runs short, but lucky for me, I'm 5'1". I rented both the 4R and 6R because I'm between sizes, but because the 4R was too tight, I had to wear the 6R, which I did have to pull up through the night. I also had a problem with my heel getting stuck in the dress, but again, I'm short. My heels were about 3" high. Interestingly, the color changes depending on the light - navy in white light, grey in dim light, and green-ish in bright light (The underlayer is teal, the lace is navy.) I wore the Elizabeth Cole Bacall Earings to draw attention upward, and an updo to allow for an open neckline. A classmate who wasn't even at the party told me she saw the pictures and how beautiful the dress was, which was very surprising! Lots of compliments at the party as well!

I have no complaints about this gown. It was the most flattering, comfortable gown I have ever worn. From the softness of the material to the way it fit. The corset was just tight enough to give shape without feeling constricting. I would suggest that if you are planning on wearing heels higher than 3inches you might want to go with the long. I am 5'3" and wore 3 1/2' heels and the gown hit at my midfoot. It does run a little large so order a smaller back up size.

The first dress I picked didn't fit in the straps and they helped me pick this one and overnighted it. I loved it! It is very body hugging and flattering to your curves. Maybe a little too much cleavage showing but oh well :) It is definitely low cut on the sweetheart neckline. I did have to pull it up while dancing, but it was extremely comfortable, nice and stretchy. I wore a strapless bra. Perhaps the top had been stretched out slightly by a bustier woman. The 4L could've been an inch longer to me, I'm 5'7" and I wore standard 3" heels. Though I was thankful for the slightly shorter length once I took off my shoes for dancing :) The color was awesome and the lace was pretty. I normally wear a 6 and the 4 was much better fit than the 6. I was very pleased and felt so glamorous for this wedding at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.

First of all, THIS DRESS IS A LITTLE SHORT. I read the reviews before I ordered and got the Long size. I am just about 5'6" and with moderate heels it was off the ground (in uggs I had to hold it up a little :p) But it definitely isn't noticeably short but if you are wearing heels, be aware. I wore it to a military ball and was perfect for the occasion. The dress was not over powering or too plain and sat next to the uniform well. I unfortunately got my sizes a little too big, a 6L might have done a snug job. However, the 8L was good on me, with a little help of some push and fashion tape it really was perfect (only because I have a small bust). It gave a very flowy look without all the fabric. It was comfortable to sit stand and walk in it and took beautiful pictures. The zipper was a little stiff, so don't be scared when you have to pull on it. Overall, this dress is gorgeous and a great selection for a formal event.

This Dress was absolutely beautiful! This was my back up dress to another David Meister dress and they were both so beautiful! I went with this one because this seemed more fitting for a beautiful fall wedding. I received a lot of compliments on the dress and on how beautiful I looked. I wish I didn't have to return it. Cant wait to rent for my next event!

This dress was a little tight around my ribcage, but fit perfectly otherwise, especially at the bust. The length was perfect with 2" heels, and it was absolutely perfect for the occasion. This was my first time using Rent the Runway, and I was very impressed!

In love with this dress. Originally ordered a different style which ended up being too short on me. I called RTR freaking out, and they calmed me down by sending me this the next day. It couldn't have worked out better. Simple and elegant which allows you to add some bling without overdoing it. The 6L was too short on me so went with the 8L - still actually wasn't as long as I had hoped- but with flats it was fine. Allows for a strapless bra which is perfect, really flattering overall. Rent it, you'll feel amazing in it.

I absolutely loved this dress! The only annoying part is that the lace got stuck on my heels every so often but the overall length was perfect.

The dress fit beautifully and as I had hoped. I'm a solid 6 (34/ 27/ 38), but have a rib cage that's a small 6 or a big 4. From reading reviews that mentioned the dress feeling loose up top, I ordered a 4L and never had a problem with the top sliding down. It was the snug, but not to tight, perfect fit. I'm 5'8" and wore 3 inch heels. My toes peeped out, but not so much that the dress looked too short. The dress is not black at all, and the deep midnight blue shows more in person. I feel this photo shows the true color of the dress better than the model.

The 6L fit well, but was a little too short, so I went with the 8L instead. The 8L was a bit fuller in the chest, so I had my mom, a seamstress, bring it in for me a bit, just for the night. Definitely needed a strapless bra with padding. Overall, very comfortable and not too tight. The lace overlay was really pretty and more of a dark blue/navy… not black. Would recommend this dress!!

I LOVED THIS DRESS!! It was originally my backup to another shorter, tighter, purple dress that was Herve Leger but when I put this on I knew it was the one. It fit the bust perfectly, the dress was in impeccable shape, wasn't too long or short (I did have 5 inch heels on though) and it complimented my body so well. I honestly would buy it if it wasn't like 4,000$ but I def want to rent it again!

Wore it to the Governor's Ball in Montana. It was beautiful, a major hit. Want to buy this dress!!

The dress was sort of stretchy, which allowed me to wear the 10L and be able to hold the girls up. Strap-less bra is a must, and the length was perfect with heels!

Dress was true to size fit. I had 10L also just in case but felt comfortable in my size. The boning was a little bumpy but fit fine after the dress was on for a little bit. The dress didn't reach the ground so the shoes will show. I was able to wear a strapless bra underneath although probably could have done without to but I felt better with. This was a comfortable dress and my first time wearing a strapless.

I loved this dress. It was a very flattering and fun fit. I would have to agree with many of the other posts that it fit very true to size up until the bust. The 12 would have fit much more comfortable but the top was way to large even with a push up bra. So I went with the 10 and it fit great tho it was a little tight thru the hips. Also I am only 5'3" and I chose the Long after reading reviews. I am very glad I did, i only wore 3" heels and it was a perfect length. Over all I loved this dress. And had a great first experience with RTR

Flattering fit and unique style! Definitely glad I wore a long - I had 3.5" inch heels, the regular would have been too short. Had to wear with a strapless bra. I did have to keep pulling it up so that my bra didn't show. Other than that, it was great!

This dress is beautiful! I got a lot of compliments all night. However, the busy runs very large. I'm a 38 D and I still had quite a bit of room and ended up using the hanger straps to keep it up while dancing.

I usually range between a size 6 and an 8, and I fit into the 8 with this dress. I wear a 34DDD bra so I had to go up a size to accommodate the girls, but the rest of the dress still fit very nicely. The only con was that I wish I'd gotten the long. I am 5'5" and the dress fell at an awkward place on my ankles, but I was still able to pull it off, and overall I am very happy with this rental!

This dress is really gorgeous. It does run short though. I am 5'10" and wore the long and could just get away with kitten heels. Anything higher would have looked strange. Use some fashion tape to secure the hanging straps inside the dress so they don't pop out. Overall this is a great dress!

After my first dress didn't fit the way I had hoped, RTR was kind enough to send me two new dresses overnight. I was a bit nervous as I have always worn empire waisted dresses, but the style and fit of this dress is my absolute go-to from now on! It was the perfect amount of form-fitting and incredibly flattering. I am between a 12 and a 14 right now, but definitely felt like an 8 or a 10. If you have an hourglass figure, this dress is perfect. The length was a little bit of an issue. The dress was way to short to wear anything over a 1" heel, and I'm only 5'3". And even with a tiny heel it was still a tad short. It does look black in photos, but it is a very pretty navy blue in person. Also a little large in the bust. I felt just a little more exposed than I wanted to be. Overall a very nice dress and great experience.

It made me fit for a gala event with royalties. Fabric felt a bit cheap at first but snug really nice around the body. Could have worked well for a Gatsby event too..

Simple and elegant, perfect for the black tie wedding I was attending. The sapphire color and lace is lovely. Tons of compliments. The dress was a little larger in the bust than I would have liked but still fit beautifully. The ruching in the bodice helped create dimension without but I'd imagine this wouldn't be as flattering on someone with larger bust. I ordered a 4L and it seemed a little shorter than it should be, but I also wore 4.5" heels. I would definitely consider more dresses by this designer.

I wore this to an inaugural event, perfect dress for the occasion.

The gown fit nicely except for the bust - it was a little big. The length was a little shorter than I expected because I ordered a long, but it was not noticeable and looked fine with small heels. The dress doesn't have a lot of give, but it is very comfortable. I used double-sided tape to keep the top attached to my strapless bra, and also to keep the garment hanger string things tucked in - they kept popping out. This was a great choice for a military ball - conservative, classy, and beautiful. I appreciated the fact that it is a formal gown, but not a prom gown - I'm too old to pull a prom gown off. I recieved the gowns (I ordered the 2L and 4L, not sure of which size would fit best) on Thursday afternoon for a Saturday event. I had enough time to make sure my shoes and jewelry matched, and to try the whole ensemble on before the ball. When I went to return the dresses in the pre-paid package, I ran into a dilemna. The blue postage boxes that rent the runway says to drop the package in states specifically that you should not put anything over 13 ounces in it. The package was pre-paid up to 2 lbs. I had no idea how much the dresses weighed, so I brought it to the post office. I don't know if it would have been fine if I dropped it in or not - I just didn't want to take the chance.

I've always said "less is more" and believe that a dress you can just throw on is the best. This was exactly that dress. No undergarments (literally, none) required. It was tight enough in the chest to hold me up, but not too tight to create that dreadfully unwanted armpit pinching. The length was perfect with ~3 inch heels (which is about as high as I ever go!) and it was easy to move around the dance floor. The model photo makes the lace and the solid layer look quite separate, but when you have it on the whole thing appears to be more one layer (which I liked). The lace will separate as you move around, but as you can see from my uploaded photo, at a distance the whole thing seems more solid. I did receive many compliments throughout the evening, which is always what a girl is looking for. This dress can really work for a variety of occasions (you can dress UP, as I did, and totally can dress down for something a little less formal as well). Highly recommended!

I wore a 2R and thought the dress was a little big. I would have gotten a 0R if it had been available but regardless I did not have any problems with it falling down while dancing. It was a very good length (I wore 3 inch heels and it was just touching the ground). I was disappointed with the color because it looks very gray and elegant in the picture. Unfortunately it is more of a teal slip with a dark navy lace over it. I really liked the dress and would definitely recommend it but please look at the close up I took of the fabric!

The dress fit a bit large. I wear a 10L, but the zipper was stuck on the one I received. I kept having to pull up my dress from my bust area. The length could have been an inch longer too!

This was a great dress but the top seemed to have been a little stretched out so it didn't fit quite right. I was really unsure if I should get the long or not and I very happy I did! Also the shaping for the top had the hard pieces in it that were sticking me through the night so I was happy to finally get out of it at the end of the night. It seems like the dress is starting to show signs of aging otherwise I would have rated it higher. It fit nicely throughout the whole dress though!

LOVED this dress! Im short at 5"3/5"4 and i had to wear the Long with heals. I would have worn the 10 but it was too short (got 10S and 12L). I had so many compliments and my husband couldn't tell me enough how gorgeous i looked :) rented this dress for a Gala. Very comfortable, no complaints!

Tight through the bust as other reviews indicated. I wore it with a strapless bra and the dress definitely showed some cleavage. Lace seemed a little stretched out through the tummy area and boning through the bust was mildly uncomfortable at times but overall I was very pleased. Felt light and airy despite hot, humid weather.

This dress was very comfortable, very beautiful. I thought it was black when I ordered it, but the dress part is a beautiful shade of dark teal. The lace overlay is black. It is very pretty! The top was a little loose in my boobs and I wear D cups. Listen to everyone and get the long!!! I'm 5'6" and it still showed my shoes, but landed just right with 3 inch heels. I got a lot of compliments and I felt great! Rent the Runway is definitely worth it! I also usually wear size 10 when I get dresses from Macy's, Dillards, etc. I was happy with the 8 in both of my RTR experiences. Sooo thankful for the 2 sizes they send you!

Got tons of compliments on this dress. It is short, so if you are petite, the R should fit fine, especially with heals. Was even slightly short with heals on. The top is a little large, like in other reviews, would slip down a bit. Otherwise, pleased with this dress. The lace was beautiful.

Extremely flattering and comfortable. It was a bit long on me, and I probably should've gone with a 4s, but this dress is beautiful, and I felt absolutely amazing in it.

Incredibly flattering on my 5'4", 130, 36C frame. Slimming and elegant. I think anyone could wear this. I did find the top would shift occasionally, but it may have been do to the strapless bra underneath. Loved it even more in pictures in the next day - the true test!

I am usually a size 4 but the size 2 fit me better than the 4.

loved this dress, well made and very flattering.

The dress was on the short side. I wore it with 1.5" heels, which made it almost too short. It worked well with my small bust -- the top did not gape and I did not have to pull it up at all (although it is low cut!).

It fit me really well, though it was definitely too short to wear with heels. Also, a little low cut so make sure you try it on with the strapless bra you intend to wear with it to make sure it doesn't show. Other than that, I was very happy with this dress.
