This dress was perfect for the gala dinner I attended. It was a great blend of dressy and not-over-the-top dressy. It hugs the body and showed off curves. Highly recommended if you have some hip, ladies.

Very flattering material that provides enough support where it's needed (bra wasn't required). RTR made an oopsy and didn't send me my second option of size, which may have fit just a touch better. They were nice about it though, if memory serves they didn't charge me (since I rented two different dress options). I would absolutely rent the dress for a semi-formal or formal event. I really loved it.

I rented this for my law school prom- I loved that I could rent a dress instead of buying one that I'd probably never wear again!

This dress was great. It highlighted by shape without sequeezing anything in. I loved how it felt and how it looked. I highly recommend a more dramatic make-up with it, but it was just a great evening all around, and I received a lot of compliment.s

loved this dressed!! i was disappointed that they discontinued the size 8, which i thought was my true size. i rented the 6 and the 10 and said a prayer :-) the six fit like a glove. i really appreciate the recommendations for jewelry and makeup. i wore MAC's ruby woo and felt like a 40's hollywood starlit! my husband took this picture because he really loved the dress. thanks RTR!

I adored this dress!! I am usually an 8 in pants...i have big hips and a relatively small waist....the 8 was unavailable so I got the 6 and the 10...the 6 fit like a glove :)....the dress has some stretch, and is also lined...it hit just above my knee so was appropriate for my age (42).... I would absolutely recommend!! (I did not find that this dress wrinkled at all btw...)

Rented this for the 2nd Annual Buckey Awards for Excellence in the Arts. I was the "red carpet" reporter interviewing nominees as they arrived and winners as they left the stage. I got a ton of compliments on this dress and felt appropriately "award worthy!" I was a little wrinkled by the end of the night, but otherwise still looking good!

This dress is very classy - i rented it for dinner and also wanted to test-run it for a bridesmaid dress. I will be using this dress as the bridesmaid dress at my upcoming wedding. I am 5'5, 140 lbs, and the 6 fit perfectly....i suggest a strapless bra, and potentially spanx. Follow up - i chose this dress for my bridemaids for a summer winery wedding...the girls loved it, every dress fit perfectly, and the material was stretchy, forgiving, and complimented their figures (my friends have VERY different body types). They were able to wear the dresses comfortably for over 10 hours!

After reviewing the other comments, I ordered the 4 and added a size 2 as a back up since people said it ran large. The 4 fit me perfectly so I think it was true to size. I received lots of compliments on it all night. I think you can wear this for many types of events. It was very comfortable and I would definitely order it again! As a first time customer, I was so happy and can't wait to try another dress!!!

This dress was gorgeous! If you have a booty like Beyonce or J-Lo, I would go "true to size." I paired this dress with Jade earrings and that really made it pop! I was HOT!

This definitely runs a size large. I usually wear a 4-6 dress, 27 jean, small shirt/sweater. The 2 fit perfectly, not too tight at all. Thefabric is silky and shiny, so you need to wear seamless underwear, or go sans.

The fabric of this dress is thicker than you might imagine so plan for that. Also, the 6 looked a little more snug around my curvy areas than I was comfortable with while attending a Catholic wedding mass so I wore the 8.

This dress is beautiful. I was a bit surprised by the color, as it was a deeper and darker gold as opposed to more of a champagne, which I had expected from the RTR photo. The fabric is gorgeous and regal and offers a beautiful silhouette. It really doesn't need much dressing up at all! The size 6 seemed only slightly roomy, so I went with the 4, but for the most part it seems to fit true-to-size. Great to wear to an upscale city wedding!

Compliments ranged from "You look like a princess!" to "HOT!" :) Fit was wonderful!

The feel and hue of the fabric is beautiful, but a bit difficult to care for - wrinkles and stains easily. Also, while very comfortable to wear, the backside was somewhat ill-fitting and bulging (and I have curves to normally fill that space !). But overall a truly stunning dress !

I rented this dress for a semi-formal auction event. I got tons of compliments during the event even though I had to man the tables. The dress fits true to size and even has a little stretch. I may recommend wearing SPANX if you have a ton of curves since this dress definitely will show your curves!

Wore this dress for a formal work function. Extremely flattering and fit perfectly. Perfect for a stylish and sophisticated event where you don't want to make too much of a statement but want to make an impression.

I got so many compliments on this dress! I wore to a wedding where my husband was the best man. It was flattering and a great color for me (I have auburn hair). It was a little bit big around the bust for me, and I would say the dress runs a little bit big overall, but not enough to make much of a difference in choosing a size. I would recommend this dress and will maybe try to rent it again!

I absolutely adored this dress. When I rented, only the 4 was available and my backup size, the 2, was not. Unfortunately, the reviewers are right, this dress absolutely runs large. I could have swung it and tried to wear it but I could grab a handful of fabric and pull it away from my body (and fold it over) on the side seam--so I didn't risk it. Since I didn't order a second look (b/c I loved this one so much) I had to try to snag something else ASAP, which was too bad. I will totally try this dress again for another occasion when I'm sure they'll have the smaller size available.

I ordered this dress foir my sons wedding. Not havibg used RTR before I was a little nervous. The experience was amazing. The dress was amazing. I got so many compliments. Very comfortable - just stunning.

Dress was perfect for an evening wedding. However when the dress arrived there was a water stain on the left shoulder side and also the front near the hemline. The 2 fit perfectly but I had to wear the 4 bc the stains were noticeable. The four fit well, but not as nice as the 2. It's a perfect dress for a classy event and still be able to show some skin!!

This dress is better than expected as the material and fit is so glam! I think you can go down a size in most cases if you have smaller boobs and I think the gathering around the waist makes it look more figure flattering if its tighter. I wore this to a wedding in Brazil but could easily work for a Christmas party. Sad I don't own it, but thanks RTR for making this bomb!

Love this dress! The fabric has a subtle sheen that gives it just enough shine, and has some stretch to it so that it will definitely show off your curves. It's also a great length- not too short, so it's perfectly appropriate to wear to a wedding or an evening work-related event. Highly recommend!

This dress fit great and was perfect for the wedding I went to on NYE. It's a great length (I'm 5'10" so usually dresses run short on me - not this one!) and was very flattering.

I am in Love with this dress! Very elegant and sophisticated... I was getting complements left and right. I ordered size 2 and back up 4, and was sent size 4 only which fit me like a glove. I guess order one size smaller and true size to get ideal fit.

This was my first time trying "RentTheRunway" and I must say that I plan to use it again and again! I have been telling all my girlfriends about this website. I normally wear a size 12 for my chest size and I purposely read the reviews before ordering the size 10 since everyone was saying that it ran big. The size 10 was absolutely perfect! I got so many compliments that I stopped counting! This dress was a perfect fit for all my curves!

This dress was a hit at a city wedding. The material was beautiful, and I heard countless compliments on the color. The sizing does run large, and I could have worn the size 2 instead, but I did appreciate how easy it was to sit, move and dance in. Overall, I found this dress to be stunning for somebody with an athletic, hourglass figure. Since it is fitted that way, I wouldn't recommend it to someone who is petite, or very small in the chest or hips.

Definitely runs a little large. I usually wear a 0 or 2 and I ordered the 2, which is the smallest size available. It was way too big everywhere, including the bust and especially on the butt. I didn't end up wearing it :(

This was the second dress I ordered - I ended up not wearing it but I would rent it again as a #1. It goes in my B+/A- group as a lovely dress. Fits well - it was a little large around the top, but not noticeably so - I could feel it but my friends couldn't see it. I have never rented an asymmetrical dress before so maybe they're all like that. It could be because I am small breasted, but I have wide shoulders which usually balances that out. Fit well and flattering everywhere else. Color note: it is a shade darker than the photo, which makes it look quite golden; it is not - it is a darker more muted gold, but still very pretty.

i absolutely love love love this dress! I really wish that it was on the shorter side because then I would have worn it! the material was great for covering up my uneven stomach and didn't show every detail as many dresses of this fabric tend to do. the one should look was fabulous! I just really wish it didn't hit me at the knee!

I wore this to a fundraising gala and felt fabulous in it, and got many compliments. It was loose & tight in the right places & I was never uncomfortable.
