Maybe this is my favorite ever. I've rented a lot and I think this is it. The fabric is insane. The blue is bright and gorgeous, yet classy. The cut is so flattering and the way it hangs and swings and twirls while you walk...if you see it available, just rent it. Wear it to the mailbox if that's all you have coming up. I promise you will thank me.

This dress was wonderfully comfortable and easy to wear. The skirt was so flowing. I dressed it up and down.

This dress made me feel so pretty. It fits true to size, and is so ladylike. I especially love the way it moves when you walk. The pop of royal blue/purple really pops next to the black. Great for work or a cocktail party. Transitions effortlessly from day to night.

This dress is stunning! It has a tight waist but the cut of the material is beautiful. It is a lightweight fabric. Very flattering for those with wide hips and a small waist. It highlights your best features. It is cut high on the neck but very comfortable even in high temperatures.

The materials are tactfully cut and layered to make beautiful movements and leave a little see through portion at the bottom of the skirt.

This dress was perfect for a fancy night out with one of my friends to the ballet. The dress is tight between the waist and hip. I wore spanx underneath but if you are conscious about your stomach it's important to know. It's what makes the dress very flattering. The top is extremely loose and great for women who have a big bust. The skirt is absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to twirl all night.

I felt so gorgeous in this dress and will definitely be renting again. I wore to work, but it would be great for plenty of occasions. The material falls perfectly on your body, and flows beautifully when you walk. I have a much smaller waist than hips and wore a 2 since the skirt was flowing. The fitted waistband really accentuated the slimmest part of me without being tight, and the draping top leaves plenty of room if you're better endowed in the chest than me. I would highly recommend this dress to anyone!

This dress is one of the best ones I have ever rented! I fell in total love. It is very sophisticated and has a beautiful flow. It fell very nice in every part of my body. I felt like a million bucks. I did not wear a bra with this. I wore a Nu Bra. This dress is so amazing you will not regret renting it.

I love this dress. So flattering. The design and material are fun and sexy, dress is comfortable and very versatile. I got some great use out this dress....I wore to a cocktail/dinner party with lace up heels & clutch, wore to work with boots, AND Sunday brunch with nude heels & jacket. (Seeing different people each time, of course). Very cheap zipper for such an expensive dress tho.

This dress fit beautifully. It is subtly sexy and perfect for many occasions. I wore to a bat mitzvah ceremony and a presidential reception for work. You don't need to show skin to feel gorgeous in this dress! Would definitely rent again

Seriously, three days in a row. That's how fabulous it is. This dress is by no means showy, but it is a show-stopper. This dress is all about fine craftsmanship- it molds to your figure and flows with your every movement. FIT: Perfect! Petites need not worry- the proportions are great. The skirt moved so fluidly and gracefully when I walked, I looked like I floated. Note that the skirt can be very sheer in the direct sun; I learned that the hard way. COLOR & ACCESSORIES: Deep royal blue and black print. I paired it with a big gold butterfly belt to pull it together. The dress still looks pretty, even without the belt. It worked well with both cream wedges and nude pumps. It would also look great with black or gold heels.

With luxurious silk chiffon and a fab print, this Derek Lam dress is the perfect go to for work or even a date night! The high neck gives this style an effortlessly chic vibe. Running true to size I recommend sizing up for backup if you're curvier and down if you're smaller framed. While you can wear a bra with this style, I do recommend a racer-back or halter so the straps don't show. At 5'7" the dress hit just above my knees. Pair it with minimal jewelry and strappy heels or heeled boots.

do not hesitate to rent. i'm typically a 4 but have a larger waist so opted for the 6. worked out perfectly w a little room to spare. dress flows beautifully. hit a touch below the knee since i'm short, but it was so flowy it didn't take away from the look. reg bra straps can stick out, opt for razor or something else. it is a little sheer, but i wore w tights so it didn't matter. didn't find the neck to be too tight. very slimming. can't say enough about how amazing this dress is

The design is really unique, as there are flowy pieces here and tight pieces there. It hugs your curves in all the right places. I have wide hips and a butt, and it was tight right in the waist and loose where it needed to be. The color is gorgeous. I wore it to work and got so many compliments - and then wore it to a "business attire" gala at night with heels. It was also really fun to dance in. MUST RENT.

I ordered this dress as part of my Unlimited membership and am having trouble giving it back - I wear it to business meetings and get compliments every time. The cut and fabric are unique but professional and I feel fabulous, sophisticated and like I'm going to own the meeting every time I put it on.

This dress fits like a dream. The luxurious lightweight silk fabric drapes and flows like magic. Ultra feminine and sexy without being too revealing. That is what you call a true designer piece.

Super flattering cut, length, draping, fabric pattern and fabric weight make this an all around A+ dress!! While I'm certainly a petite frame, I do have my problem areas, and this dress did a phenomenal job at masking every single imperfection while still being very figure flattering and completely comfortable (which is a real rarity!!). While I dressed it down for a casual Sunday brunch, it's style is incredibly classic and more versatile than most. Fit is true to size, not too big nor too small anywhere and was entirely comfortable for more than 8 hours of wear. If my closet wasn't already busting at the seams, this piece would be a must have!

i'm typically btwn a 2 and a 4 and got the 42/US 4. it fit perfectly. i could've worn a 2, but in anticipation of a large dinner, wanted extra room in a 4. this dress flows beautifully and feel luxurious. at 5'3" it hit a touch below the knee, but looked great with black tights and black high boots. the high neck was not too tight. should be worn with a razorback bra. i'm wearing a regular one and find myself fussing with it so the straps don't show. beautiful beautiful dress

Derek Lam describes this dress as having a "relaxed fit" which isn't quite true. It hugs your waist so if you are pear-shaped or have a bit of a paunch, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're large-busted, this dress is forgiving because of the the soft drape of the bodice. Same for those who are a bit larger in the hips as the fabric is cut on the bias and with soft folds as it falls from the waist. This dress is the perfect dress to go from work to out on the town - which is why I ended up buying one after I returned this one to RTW!! I liked this dress that much! During the day for work, pair it with pumps and a blazer. At at night, take off the blazer, add some scrappy sandals (red, black or blue look great) and a clutch or a minaudière and off you go! I paired it with a tomato red minaudière and it really set off the dress. Unfortunately no photos because the dress is a stunner!! I received so many compliments when I wore it. You won't be sorry when you rent this one!!

I've had Unlimited for some time now (cumulatively), so know that this was the first time that I've ever had anything arrive damaged, but this dress had a split-tear at the bottom on the zipper on arrival. I probably could have fixed it with some dress tape, but didn't want to risk it. I have the feeling that the fabric was just a bit tired as this is such a popular dress. Between that, and the fact that the dress comes in far more at the neckline than I anticipated (necessitating a strapless or halter bra, which DO NOT work for this 32FF lady!), I decided not to wear it. That being said, this dress is BEAUTIFUL and lives up to the hype. I so wish I could have worn it!!! It looks a wee bit dressy for your average workday, but could still be pulled-off, yet is fancy enough for a semi-formal event, in my opinion. The drape and fuller skirt hides everything and gives a beautiful silhouette. While fully-lined, the fabric is thin enough that you may still need a slip.

The fit on this was bizarre. It seems as if the bodice is supposed to blouse a bit, but the zipper is way too stiff to accommodate that and so it ripples in a terrible way. The zipper also sticks out at the bottom, essentially giving you a tail. I'm not sure if the zipper got replaced at some point on this dress, but if so, they did a terrible job of it, because the dress is completely unwearable.
