Rented for an Oct vow renewal in South Carolina, note this dress is velvet so it was a little hot but it helped it's short, and cooled down at night! I walked into the ceremony and got an immediate compliment on the dress. Loved the pattern, was comfortable and fell nicely on me length wise (I am 5 foot 1).

Other reviews were right: is short so size up unless you want mini, and it does ride up when walking! Some extra material around waist and chest. But overall pretty and nice for winter.

I wore this dress to a concert. It was easy to wear, warm and comfortable. The sizing and ruching was a little off... felt like it was a maternity dress with lots of fabric in the middle and lots of space left on top (if you have a smaller bust). The size small was short and I would not have wanted any smaller in length for the sleeves. Fun to rent and wear for one night but not to own!

Lots of material around the midsection which made me wonder if this was that flattering. But it's soft and was fun to wear for a night out in the winter

I loved this dress. It was comfy and warm and hugged all the right spots. The only thing is, it did ride up at points so definitely would not wear this without tights. I'm also petite so would not recommend for girls over 5'4 as it'll be too short

This dress is really flirty and fun--if a little short. I wore the large and had no problem with any part of the fit. It was super comfy and the velvet was a perfect weight to be indoors and outdoors on a cool evening.

Rented this for boyfriends work Christmas party and took a chance since the other reviews weren't great. I loved this! I sized up to air on the side of conservative but it didn't look too big. Loved the ruching and velvet. It is short, but I didn't think it was inappropriate--sizing up helped. I'm 5'4 135 and went with the Medium. Highly recommend!

Super cute and fun velvet dress. The material and rushing made it really comfortable and flattering but it was very short. I'm 5'0 and felt like I had to wear tights under it in order to wear it.

The dress runs very fitted through the hip and flairs. Has a strong 80s vibe in person that I wasn't going for. The top bunch a little in the middle, it fit awkwardly. I should have sized up. Never wore.

Fits really well. Nice material. The chest area was slightly big. I might have been able to go down a size, but the large fit. Recommend for curvy women as it hides the tummy area.

The fit of this dress is good but it's a bit "bulkier" than I imagined. I think visually this dress looked fantastic but it was slightly heavy. I also had to pull it down sometimes which was annoying.

This dress is adorable. The velvet is soft and comfy. The cut is short, but so am I. 5'2 on a good day. I wore it to church, (very liberal dress code wear I worship) I used a black shawl to cover up the extra leg that is exposed when you sit. My hubby loved it, just may buy it.

Material is a crushed velvet type- thick and warm, perfect for a February cocktail affair. The fit is great for someone with a larger bust (I am a 34D and was perfectly covered). Could be short on taller women.

I am glad I wore opaque tights. It dressed it down a bit, but I was less worried about flashing everyone than I would have otherwise been.

The pattern is beautiful and fun but the fit in the top wasn't quite right for me and the ruching in the waist seemed to be stretched.

This dress was for a formal dinner party outside. The material was velvet and warm enough that I was not cold. I got so many compliments on my dress. The gathered material around the waste was flattering and I danced the night away it was so comfortable!! I probably could have worn the medium but the large fit so I didn’t have to wear any spanx or suck anything in.

I'm 5'9, typically a 2/4, and sized up based on reviews. Wish I hadn't. It's too big on me in the bust and stomach so there's extra fabric that makes it unflattering. It is short but that's part of the lewk and shouldn't be sized up to accommodate. Just don't rent if you're not looking for a mini skirt. With black tights and boots it's cute and doesn't seem too short even with my height, IMO. I'll rent again in a small and see if it works better.

This is a very pretty dress. Velvet material, substantial feeling, and very well made. The skirt is VERY short. There was no way I could wear this out anywhere. You would need to be very short to not look ridiculous wearing this. I would say 5'1" or shorter.
