Runs slightly large and has no stretch. I wear a 2 or 4 and went with the 2 in this dress. Easy and comfortable to wear to work on a hot summer day on southern CA. The grommets, lacing and POCKETS take a basic LBD to the next level.

This dress has everything I look for in a garment so I knew I had to rent it as soon as I saw it. I ordered the 2 initially and was a bit disappointed since the fit was off but figured I'd swap it out for the 0 and it was just what I needed. At 65% off I'm buying it!

This dress fit me perfectly - the hem length is flattering and works very well with a heeled sandal. Mine arrived quite wrinkled too but I ironed it and it was not an issue. I had no problems with the grommets and bunching - you simply adjust the strap. The minute I walked into the party (cocktails and dinner - not formal but definitely required something more than a "work" dress), I received a compliment. The pockets are great (not that I actually used them but they add an informal flair) and the dress is super comfortable. That night it went into the mid-60's and I was able to wear it without feeling self-conscious or chilly...but that's about the lowest temp for this dress. I'd say it's just right for spring, summer, early fall in New England.

This was a very unique dress. Offered a lot of style for being a black dress with gold hardware. Received several compliments as the grommets and tie around the neck really made a statement.

This dress is phenomenal. Details are wonderful, fabric is great, good for dressing up or down. Very flattering and comfortable. Will rent again and again.

One of my favorite rentals. The material doesn't wrinkle, it has pockets, and the structure gives you a little up too while skimming the waist. But it's not clingy. The tie and grommet details are simple but super elegant. LOVE.

This dress is so great. The gold details and pockets are the best. It's cotton poplin, so very comfortable fabric. I would say maybe runs a little on the large size. I could've sized down, but it looked great and was comfortable. I really loved this dress and will rent again!

This is a fashion-forward version of a basic black dress. I would have LOVED it (and given it 5 stars) except for the fact that -- as a couple of other reviewers have already pointed out -- there is extra fabric in the back above the waist that bunches. The tighter I pulled on the drawstrings, the worse the bunching got. Because of that bunching issue, I give it 4 stars. I rented my usual RTR dress size 10 (for reference, I am 5'8", 155 lbs, 36C) and I would say it ran 1/2 size large. I might try renting one size smaller next time (with the hope that it won't be too small) to see if that takes care of the bunching issue in the back. The material is a starched cotton, which is a great material for the summer. No lining. The wider shoulders and the A-line skirt give the body a nice hourglass shape. Can be worn with regular bra. UPDATE: I re-ordered the dress in size 8 (down from 10), which solved most the the bunching issues in the back. It made the dress quite fitted around the rib cage area though. But I liked it better in 8 than 10.

Love the details of this dress. Pockets and grommets! I am 5'4 and this hit me mid calf. Its a starched cotton material. Careful for work because you can see skin through the last grommet.

Probably wouldn't have rented based on the photo but saw in store and loved the grommet details. The best thing about this dress is the shape! It highlights chest and waist while hiding stomach. Really flattering.

At first I found the grommets awkward and the skirt too flouncy. However I noticed that I wore It a lot - to work, lunch, dinner. It really is versatile. I still felt that the grommets and tie were a little clumsy but looked very chic.

great dress for everyday. I originally got to wear for a funeral, but the weather took a turn and I end up wearing for an afternoon tea instead. I like the dress and still have it to wear it for another trip... it's been three weeks =) That's how much I like the dress.

Really loved the look of this dress and got lots of compliments. I'm usually a size 4 or 6 in dresses but I think I could have easily sized down to a 2. The 4 was a little big but not too noticeable. I did need a light iron on it when it first arrived but then it was good. Would definitely rent again!

No stretch, but fits like a glove. The neckline is sexy and fabric luxurious. The best day to night ... arrived a bit wrinkled.... but overall this dress is amazing!

Fits perfectly, I played around with the tie and tied it in front (I have a long neck so it worked), the size 4 was way too big but size 2 just right. Nice fabric and the style transitioned from day to evening. I wore it with a short black cardigan for cooler nights, was fine over the cap sleeves.

I am smaller on the top and the shoulder/chest area was a bit too large for me. I could have sized down.

I really liked this for daytime / casual dinner kind of vibe. I originally ordered it thinking I could wear it to a work event, but my skin showed through the bottom ring. This dress runs pretty big. I'm normally a size 6 in dresses (smaller up top) and it looked somewhat loose on the model so I sized down for a snugger fit. The 4 fit loosely like the model pictured though, so I probably could have even gone down to a 2 and still been pretty comfortable. I honestly don't know if there's any stretch because it was just loose all around.

The concept of this dress is great. I typically wear a size 6 in dresses. I rented the 6 and it was way too big. Also, the longer hemline looks frumpy on my frame. I thought the neckline would be too low cut, but it was fine-sexy, but covered. The material feels great-high quality cotton. It's nice and lightweight for summer, but super wrinkly. I didn't wear this dress, but will be amazing on others.

True to size

I really wanted to like this dress, but it was way too long for someone 5'4". If you are 6 feet tall, I think the dress would look great. It's very cute, and the fit (other than the length) was flattering. Too bad.

Cute dress. If you pull the drawstring too tight, you can see skin through the grommets, but that is easily solved by giving it a bit of ease.

Material was not soft and it felt very nautical. The tie around was much to long and so I had a rope ties around my body all night. Will not rent again

This is a cute dress but the 6 (only size available) was too big too wear & unflattering at that size. The grommet thing is huge & gave it a very fashion-forward look. Sleeves did not flatter my upper arms. Really liked the length, though

I tried to take a photo but it actually looked nice in the picture. In person, it was big, unflattering and unshapely on my petite frame.
