I belted it to get a more defined waist

Draper James never disappoints! Truly a wonderful dress. For like a glove. The colors are wonderful. I wore this to a work holiday party and then again on Christmas Day. Perfect. So many compliments. Gives a great hourglass figure.

Great fabric! Definitely runs large. I typically wear an 18, but sized based on typical rent the runway fits. The 20 was definitely too big, but worked well with a belt. Would rent again, but probably get a size 16. The zipper on the back of the dress is lined by a small strip on red fabric, which I loved!

This dress was so cute and preppy. I wore it for work and felt professional and pretty.

This dress fit me perfectly. Easily transitioned from the office to a work-related holiday party. Received an endless amount of compliments.

I listened to other reviews (thanks!) and sized down. Fit perfectly! It definitely takes into account all the parts that I like to cover... sleeves were cute and covered my upper arms and the cut was perfect for hiding my tummy (plus, I got away without wearing spanx!!). Fabric stretched a little bit, which was nice. It was perfect for my winter holiday party, and I dressed it up a little to make it more Christmas-y. Would highly recommend!

This may be a favorite! Fit great at the waist and the pleats are perfect not cupcakey -- Ya know what I'm sayin'! I received so many compliments. Sleeves and pink zipper are a fun detail. Would definitely rent again!!

I rented this because plaid is so in right now. I just wore it to some meetings I had that day, but I received so many compliments. Everyone told me I looked like Christmas, so might rent again. Very flattering fit. Ran a little large in the waist but a 10 would have been tight in the bust.

Fit comfortably like pajamas but looked great for teaching my middle schoolers!

Love the flare and movement of the dress, and the cute bell sleeves! It does run large - I'm often a 14 and probably could have gone down to a 10 (if they had it in 10.) Still, I enjoyed wearing it!

Very forgiving and comfy. Coloring is a little 90s for my taste but I worked it :) felt girly and loved the sleeves.

My event was cancelled, so this dress didn't get to go out. I think it would have worked well though. Extremely comfortable. Hit right at the knee. Sleeves were not too tight. Zipper went up and down easily. Pattern adorable!

The dress did run large, I probably could have ordered a size 14 and been totally fine. The hem was falling out of the dress I recieved and I didn't notice it until the day I was wearing it so I just used some hem tape to fix it for the night. Overall, it was a great dress and I recieved tons of compliments.

I'm still learning how Draper James fits and I misjudged here. True to DJ style- this dress is well constructed with cute as heck fabric. Size down here if you have any doubts.

This dress has a fun print that's just right for the winter holiday months. Unfortunately, the sizing is waaaaay off. I'm a 12/14 depending on the dress/designer. This is a 12 and it's huge. More like a small 16. Size down at least one size for sure. Otherwise, it's just a nice work piece.

This dress was great! The pattern was fun and interesting, a good twist on a classic silhouette. Would work great for work or a nice event.

Great dress. Polyester like material is plain on the inside, so when the arm material flips up you can see the plain material inside. It was not too tight and it disguised fat better than most dresses. You can dress it up or down. It'd be great for St Pattys day or Christmas.

This dress was a surprise! I was really unsure about it when I rented it, but the color was better than I expected and the fit was spectacular. The box pleats made for a very nice lay on the dress and it made my waist look very small, which is typically not the case. I got tons of compliments and am this close to buying it!

As I have a large chest, I ordered the 12. The dress did fit up top, but was so big around the waist that I had to wear a belt. I really liked the dress and got many compliments, but the plaid fabric wasn't matched at the back, which made me a little crazy.

The dress sent is the right cut but not the color presented on photo. I liked the photo plaid much better.

I like the color and the way it drapes - sleeves are cute too. The 20 was a little big on me, but I was afraid the 18 would be too small. It's fairly heavy, though, so better for fall than for spring. I'm still going to eke out one more wearing before my month rental is up!

The dress is beautiful on. However, I would say to size down. I sized up and it was about two sizes too big. Great for work or casual parties.

This dress runs a little large in the waist, but fits well everywhere else. I could have sized down one. It has a nice, exposed zipper in the back, so no invisible zipper drama. The flared sleeves add some interest but also give comfort to those with wider upper arms. The fabric is thick and flows nicely. It would be a great dress for a holiday part.

I normally wear a 14/16 dress size and I was swimming in this dress. It looked awful! I also didn't try it on right away so I was stuck with sending it back without even getting to wear it.
