I loved this dress and am considering buying it. It was so comfortable I felt like I was wearing sweats all day. Even so, it is structured enough to not look sloppy.

I wore to Christmas Day with my family and it was comfortable and elegant. I had a baby 6 months before and this dress made me feel awesome!

I wore this to work with black flats then changed into sparkly gold heels for a work holiday party. I received so many compliments all day. The elbows started to feel a bit loose at the end of the day, so not sure I could have worn this more than once. Also, the material hugged everything and shapewear was a must!

I rented this for Christmas Eve with my family. It was perfect. We wanted to dress up even though we were staying home with a small group, and this looked very nice while still being comfortable. I do agree with other posters that is a more fitted dress than you might think, so I did wear this with Spanx. I would say either size up or plan to wear shapewear.

Loved how cozy it was to wear. Looks great accessorized or worn alone.

I'm 5'9" and this was way too short for a work event.

The dress is a medium weight and incredibly comfortable knit with a vertical ribbed and scalloped pattern on the chest that isn't visible in the provided photos. It also leans toward a deep navy instead of a true black. This dress ran very large.

Fit is very flattering, albeit body-conscious. The neckline, sleeves and all details are very flattering. Because the fit is close to the body, this doesn't leave much wiggle room. If you're self-conscious about your stomach, this isn't the dress for you or wear spanx!

Great quality dress and was so cute online but just disinterested work for my body type. I have an hourglass figure which wasn't flattered with the material and linear stitch. I didn't even wear this before returning:(.

There's no way I could wear this without tights - it is cute with them in winter, though! It almost felt like a figure skating skirt, that's how short it was on my 5'7" self. It is a cute but ultimately just fine black day dress.

Cooler weather so the thickness was nice. Very neutral with a pop of texture. Good length as I have long legs and usually most dresses are too short.

I have been burned by these DJ "sweater" dresses before, I really don't know what I was thinking. The material is SO thin and SO clingy, if your body is not as smooth as an egg you're in for a rough time with this one.

Flattering dress that can be styled a million different ways. Wore to a business formal lunch and it was perfect.

The dress fit true to size. Because it is a sweater dress, it hugs the body slightly so I wore shapewear to smooth things out. The details on the front and neckline were enough that simple earrings were the only jewelry needed.

I am newly pregnant and my boobs have just doubled and so I though this would work but it wasn't flattering across my chest. If i rented this a few months earlier, it probably would have been perfect.

The fabric of this dress is super soft and cozy making it great for the office in the winter. My dress did seem well loved (little faded). Draper James fits true to size for me s/4 - 136lb 5'2- however I can't help but to think their fit is for large busted women. It was as though the waistline was always too low for me (34A) or there was excess fabric in the torso/ chest area. I rented this and another Draper James dress and felt the same way.
