The straps were a little long for me

I rented this for a vacation and ended up buying it. So east to wear, lightweight but the fabric has enough weight and texture to keep everything in place. The perfect a line!

I liked this dress a lot, as I do with most Draper James stuff. I could wear a strapless bra underneath, which helped me fill it out a bit. The straps aren’t adjustable though and were a little long for me, so they would occasionally fall down, especially when I was sitting out not consciously standing with perfect posture.

In between sizes, go down. Fits like a GLOVE and a perfect length. Wore w a denim jacket over to work

This dress is adorable. Flattering, cute and comfortable. I'm probably going to buy it!

The fit is perfect. I was even able to size down from an 8 to a 6 and still be comfortable. Very lightweight but lined above the waist. Wore with denim jacket and sneakers and wedges for different formality. Would rent again.

Perfect dress for a summer wedding rehearsal dinner! The fabric is very breathable and light - love the gingham print.

Wore this for a western themed wedding welcome party. Straps are not adjustable so did slip a bit. Overall flattering and comfortable, could dress up or down.

This fit perfectly in the bust. My smallest part is my rib cage area and this was right then it poofed out at my hips so much it just didn't look right. Plus I'm 5'10 so it looked like I'm wearing my daughters dress. I'm starting to think DJ is better for petite gals.

I really struggle to find dresses I can wear that flatter my stomach area + aren't super low cut. I wore this in Santa Fe for a work dinner and got so many compliments! I'm between an 8-10 usually. 8 was perfect.

I loved this dress. It was comfortable and beautifully simple. I loved the embroidery on the bottom. The straps were a little long and came off my shoulders. If I owned it, I would alter to make it fit perfect.

Super comfy, easy to pack and looked great for a summer wedding shower. Straps kept falling down so ended up putting a jean jacket on.

Great length for work..I'm 5'7 and it was perfect length a bit above my knee! The dress is a bit roomy, but not oversized by any means. Probably would be good for bigger busts and those wanting to hide their mid section. I think it was flattering and room to move! I really liked it and would rent again.

I rented this for an Easter brunch cruise. I absolutely loved it! It's very lightweight but still feels sturdy. I usually wear a 10 and it was true to size. It definitely has a little bit of pop/flare around the waist, so be prepared for that. I'm relatively chesty, and there isn't much boning or padding up top so I wore a strapless bra with it just for peace of mind. I paired it with a jean jacket because Portland didn't give us the warm sunny day we wanted, but it worked well. I'm tall-- about 5'10" -- and it hit about an inch above my knee. Cute, flirty, and so much fun! Got compliments all day.

This was perfect for a 100-degree plus day in swampy Washington. I vacillated over whether the combo of light cleavage and lowish back were too much for work but ended up wearing it anyway (brought a denim jacket with me, just in case.) It did require a strapless bra, but thankfully, the back was just high enough to cover it fully. The only surprising thing about this dress was that I thought it was black-and-white and then when I got under the fluorescents at work, I discovered it was actually navy!! Good thing I had a spare pair of nude shoes stashed under my desk to change out of the black suede I had originally walked in with...

I'm in between sizes and already went down a size and still too big!

Love the dress, the cut did make me look a little big prego. The length was just above my knees and the straps were already adjusted but someone else but they were still just a tad too long for me.

This navy gingham dress was really cute and very comfortable. I normally wear a size 6 in Draper James, but I could have easily worn a size 4 in this dress. The straps are not adjustable and they was a little loose-- when I wore it without a cardigan to a baby shower, I had to keep pulling it down to keep the straps snug. The fit around my chest was a little loose as well. Other than going a size down, the dress was lovely, and I received compliments every time I wore it.

I was excited for this dress -- it's a really cute design and I loved Draper James dresses on me. The bottom of the dress flares out quite a bit and made me look a little wide. It was a little shorter than anticipated. Overall, it's fine but not my favorite dress.

I rented this in the summer to wear to work (I have a casual/fashion-forward office environment), and also to after-work activities. I didn't wind up wearing due to the awkward fit in the waist and stomach. It was more like a babydoll as the skirted part started a little above my natural waistline, and it sort of poofed out rather than flared. I wouldn't rent again personally, but this could be a good bump dress.

This is the 3rd Draper James dress I've rented where the cut is super unflattering. I naturally have a short torso, but this dress was almost an empire dress on me, the torso was so short. My hand is on my natural waist, and you can see the cut for the waist is above it. Perhaps if it had adjustable straps that would have helped?

I wore this for a Kentucky Derby party and loved it. It doesn't have much stretch but it's TTS.

Super cute dress, but it didn’t work for me. Mainly b/c of the pleats at the waist on the front of the dress. Not sure sizing up would have helped.

This dress was really cute and perfect for everyday wear. It runs true to size. The only thing that I was not a fan of, was the fact that the straps for the shoulders REFUSED to stay up. If it had adjustable straps, I probably would have kept it, but it was not comfortable to keep pulling the straps back up.

I wore the 6 and it was a little big on top, but it looked fine. Skirt part is a little poofy. I would have preferred it to be more fitted.

The skirt of the dress was really puffy and made me look like I had really wide hips. It was also too long for my petite frame. It hit me an inch below the knee which is so unflattering. I didn't wear it.
