I rented this dress for our Annual Benefit at work in downtown Chicago. The decor was a mix of art deco / champagne bubbles themed with golds, purples, and blacks so the detail on this dress fit in so well! This dress was absolutely perfect! It was very comfortable and form fitting but allowed me to move quick on my feet since i was running around all day. I chose to order a 0 and a 2 and the 2 fit true to size. My boyfriend LOVED this dress on me and i received so many compliments on it. This dress was perfect for my 30th birthday date with my husband! It actually arrived a day earlier than expected. I loved everything about it and would definitely rent it again!

This dress wasn't my first choice but I ended up being really happy with it! I used fashion tape to tape up the hem about 4 inches shorter. I'm only 5'3 and with the high neckline and longer hem it was too modest for my taste, but after taping the hem it was perfect. The 2 piece thing is unique and makes it more interesting- it looks almost like a crop top but you're fully covered because the pieces are connected. I found it very true to size. I recommend the dress- it made me feel sophisticated and pretty!

I wore this out one night, and loved it. I was worried that the top might be odd, and that the flap in the back would looks like wings, but it closes it enough after hooking it together, that it looks really cool. I wore the size 8 out, but could have gone with the 10. I have found that Cynthia Steffe styles run tighter in the bottom, so if you are hippy and/or have thighs and a butt, you might want to size up, but this style runs pretty true to size!

I paired this dress with the House of Harlow Gold Textured Cut Off Cuff and the Inge Christopher Corsica Scale Clutch. It was ideal for an event which called for cocktail attire, but was a part of a professional conference. I felt comfortable with the length and fit - even after a large meal! My only complaint is that the back clasp kept coming undone. If I would have known this would happen ahead of time, I would have been prepared with fashion tape or safety pins. Overall, one of my RTR favorites!!!!

Beautiful dress that I wore to a bat mitzvah. Was very nervous to try since there were no customer photos AND they did not have my normal size, or the size up. I went with a 6 and it fit perfectly. Received many compliments-- definitely recommend!

I originally reserved a different dress that became unavailable. RTR got in contact with me pretty quickly and allowed me choose another dress at no additional cost (great customer service) and I reserved this one. The fabric was good quality. I usually wear either a 4 or 6 dress size but opted for the 6 since the dress was tighter on the bottom (the only slight con).

I liked the dress, it fit snug in the hips and a little loose up top. When I sat down, I had to check to make sure my bra didn't show through the back peep. Otherwise it was a fun dress, something different for a wedding.

Dress was TTS. The size 2 fit like a glove, but since I wore it to the symphony (where I was sitting for long periods) I sized up and wore the size 4. The hook at the back did come undone twice but I think if I had worn my proper size it would've been fine. I would definitely rent again.

Loved the fabric and fit. Everyone kept saying how elegant the front was and how cool the open back was. It wasn't the sexiest dress on earth, but it was comfortable, pretty, and unique. The latch at the top of the "cape" did come loose and actually fell off. Fortunately, the wedding planner had a safety pin (which I'd recommend bringing along).

I have a small chest/waist & a larger butt so the 4 was too tight on the butt but fit perfectly on the top & the 6 was the opposite. I decided to wear the 6 to be more comfortable. I did love the material & style of the dress and the gold wasn't too flashy. Very pretty for a winter wedding & would be great for a NYE dress.

This dress is adorable and flattering. The gold detail is subdued enough that wearing it with a black jacket, tights, and pumps made it great for work. Taking off the jacket reveals the adorable back and makes it great for a cocktail party or holiday party. I felt really cute in it.

Typically size 10, but the top was a bit too large. Backup Size 8 worked great! Loved the black and gold pattern and the just open enough back. Dress was on the short side when sitting down, but i paired it with tights and boots and it looked great. As some people have mentioned, the back can get unclasped, but was easily fixed with a discreet safety pin. Overall, really loved the dress!

Sooo the 6 was too tight (my underarm fat showed and it was tight on the chest making it rude up) but I had to wear it since the 8 was unavailable. That being said, I got several compliments and I felt pretty in it. It's modest and modern at the same time. I'd definitely recommend it for your holiday party needs.

This fit like a glove. Great for athletic or hourglass figures, it's fitted but not too tight across the butt/hips. The gold wasn't as shiny as expected, which toned it down and made it a little classier. Great for fall/winter events.

Dress fit true to size and previous reviewers made me confident to order my usual size without a backup. Perfect "little black dress" with a little flair from the gold brocade. With a toddler at home, and not a lot of room in the budget, I felt great having RTR as an option to look decent for a family wedding without breaking the bank. Great experience renting for he first time, and I definitely will use RTR again!

I loves the rich details of this dress. I felt fabulous and elegant wearing it. My only complaint is that the hook at the back closure did open a few times even when I tried to bend the hook closed tightly.

I liked this dress. I feel that it ran small, but was I really felt that it fit well. I would rent it again.

It runs true to size, and I felt incredibly comfortable in it. The only thing is that whenever I hugged someone, the top latch on the back would undo itself so had to check it all night. Besides that, it was fantastic!

I wore this to a friends wedding and it was a bit dressy for the daytime ceremony but perfect for the reception. I got lots of compliments and questions about my RTR experience (all of which was positive). I wore black pumps and gold jewelry to compliment the look. I had ordered a large gold necklace that was damaged however I felt the dress did not need the extra bling. I had no trouble with the flaps in the back coming undone. It was a bit tight on my thighs and I wore a waist slimmer to keep everything tucked in. I also found the arm holes a bit small however I do have larger (muscular :P) arms so that may not be a problem for others. I ordered a 6 and 8 and wish I had gotten the 10 bc that probably would have fit perfect. In all honesty, no one else thought it was tight and I would definitely get this again!

I loved this dress and wish I could have worn it longer than I did! The gold is much more subtle in person than what appears online, but the cut and quality are superb. I found the size 0 to fit true to size, the zipper was easy to work, and the hook-eye closures stayed closed even after chasing my toddler around the dance floor. The back of the dress is stunning and adds an unexpected element to an otherwise conservative cut. Rent this dress!

I loved this dress, it was a very flattering fit. The bodice was tight (true to size) and the floating top complimented it well. The cape did keep coming unclasped, but I didn't find it terribly annoying.

This dress was gorgeous, it was very elegant and fun. The dress ran slightly large - I normally wear a 2 and found the 0 to fit a little bit better. You definitely need to safety pin the cape part in the back - it will come undone! I loved this dress, it ended up being a replacement for another I rented and it was great!

This is a really great dress. I love the style with the loose top and tight high waist pencil skirt. I brought it with me on a trip and the fabric was super easy to travel with. It didn't wrinkle. The length was perfect, not too short.

Wore this dress to a winter wedding. The fabric was moderately thick and textured. The back has a slit which made it comfortable to get down on the dance floor. Sometime in the night, I got a nearly full glass of red wine spilled on the front. The fabric is so busy that it was not even noticeable (+)! Highly recommend, gorgeous dress!

I wore this dress to a winter wedding and it was perfect. I have a large bust so I had to wear the 12 which visibly made the dress look slightly large in my waist. The 10 fit my waist and hips better but the 12 needed to be worn. The clasp in the back really does come undone a lot so I would recommend a small gold safety pin. Overall, very happy with this dress. Beautiful dress for a winter wedding.
