Very unique dress! The material is very structured/rigid, but still comfortable. Runs pretty true to size, but definitely smaller in the bust. I would recommend sizing up if you're a 34C cup or higher. Pair it with statement earrings to complete your look!

This dress material is awesome- it has a lot of stretch and in person is prettier than the pictures give justice (it’s like metallicish almost). The size I ordered fit but if I ordered it again I’d actually go down two sizes - my smallest part is my waist (34c) and biggest my hips (27-28 jeans) and this dress’s structure makes your hip size irrelevant. Right now I weigh around 150lbs. I wore with a blazer bc it could’ve been taken in about 2 inches if I wanted it to fit extremely snugly, which is how I prefer this style of dress to be.

I rented this dress for a black tie preferred wedding in San Diego. It was perfect- the flare of the skirt and the sparkle of the fabric made it a great short (but formal) option. I'm normally a 4-6 and the 6 was a bit big but was comfortable.

Great for work related or any cocktail event. It only looks like a lot of cleavage in the pic because I was holding my hand above to get the shot. Material is interesting and the color is more vibrant in person.

This dress was actually sent to me as a backup style - the original dress I had ordered for NYE was possibly going to be delayed by FedEx, and the staff at RTR was kind enough to overnight this one to me just in case the original did not make it in time. Needless to say, it did, so sadly, I did not end up wearing this one to the party. However, it is really a beautiful and unique dress - it looks even better in person! I usually wear a 4, and the 38 fit well. It was just a tiny bit scratchy under the arms, but nothing too bad. The fabric is really stiff and shimmery, giving the dress a cool, super-structured look. There is no stretch in the fabric, so it's probably important to get the right size...maybe size up just to be on the safe side. I don't have a large chest, but I could see how it might be a little too constricting for large-busted women. It was really flirty and elegant, and I would definitely LOVE to wear this dress again to a wedding or party!

Tried this dress on in the store. I don't think I would have ever picked it out if I saw it online. Material is very interesting. Dress has a shine to it, but the material doesn't give like you think it might. I got so many compliments!! Someone told me that the dress looked like it was expensive, which is always a nice compliment! I loved the fit for my body type. I tried on the 34 in store and it was too small so I had the 36 and 38 shipped. I ended up wearing the 36 because it hugged my waist better than the 38. Both sizes fit well though. I would definitely recommend renting this dress if you're looking to be different. I saw a few other girls at the wedding wearing RTR dresses that I considered renting, because they were classic and reliable dresses. Glad I didn't go that route! This was a great choice.

Overall Great Dress

This dress was comfortable and is great for hiding problem areas. I'm petite so it was a little large in the straps on my shoulders. They wanted to fall here and there but it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't wear it. Overall this dress was beautiful and flattering.

Fit beautifully, although ran small below my bustline, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Very easy to wear otherwise. Flattering shape, color and texture. Loved wearing it and received many complements.

The fabric was gorgeous -- really thick and very flattering. It gave me a gorgeous Victorian waist and hit just above the knee. The only thing was the straps were too long and they kept falling down my shoulders. I have a very short torso and narrow shoulders so this was probably the reason.

I would say that the dress is SLIGHTLY too big, however I did get plenty of compliments on it. It looks very shiny in photos, but it wasn't overwhelming in person.

I have a barrel chest and that sadly meant this was just slightly too tight up top. I zipped it fine but it squashed my boobs. Otherwise a gorgeous dress and flared out nicely. Will be better for a more pear shaped figure.

Fit was comfortable but snug. Somebody with a larger chest might need to size up. The fabric is actually much prettier in person, especially in the sunlight.

makes a small chest (A-B) look more busty in an 1800's kind of way, and highlights a small waist nicely. plenty of room on bottom for pear shaped hips. there is almost no give in the fabric.

the sylist notes should include something about how small it is up top. Plenty of room in the waist but none in the chest area. I'm 5'7" and 125 with a 34DD and there was no way I could wear this and have it still look decent in the waist. A complete loss for me and very disappointing.

This is just the right combination of formal, modern, and powerful. The material has a sheen to it that creates an almost metalic look - very unique texture. The fit was beautiful and showed off her figure while being very appropriate and not over-the-top. Elegant and fun at the same time. Yay RTR!

Planning to wear this my son's Bar Mitzvah evening party. The 34 was pretty tight so I sized up and the 36 is just right. It's short but not too short, and the fabric makes it really special.

Fit like a glove, not much give but very comfortable!! - under 5'4", muscular, hourglass and C34/36. Worn with single strap high heels makes it the perfect amount of sensual and conservative. Had SO many compliments! The material looks fantastic in afternoon and mood/evening lighting. Will be renting again!

The dress runs small. I normally wear a 00 or 00 Petite and the 34 was very form fitting. The material is light with a beautiful shine to it and is rather slimming. It came to my knee and was perfect for my event. I would highly recommend this dress.

Ah - I'm bummed. I ordered for a date but I won't be able to wear it. Other reviews say it ran true to size but I find it to be small in the chest and ribcage area. It is adorable - but if I were you I would order one size up. The other dresses I ordered fit great (unfortunately they aren't a "date" dress). I'll have to order it again in a larger size.

Pretty true to size a little lose but that was ok. I did not end up wearing. I had two dresses sent and went with one that was more flattering to my figure. I think I am really between a 4 and 6 in this dress.

The fit just fine minus the length. This dress did not feel appropriate for a work Christmas party. It showed both cleavage and a whole lot of leg. I’m 5’8”, so it may be more suitable for someone shorter. Disappointing.
