Funky jacket for winter in the city
Both my daughter and I are wearing RTR coats. Mine was great, heavy and warm. (It was 20 degrees in NYC) Easy to close with hidden hooks and I had a sweater layered underneath. Had pockets but they weren't made for your hands due to the flaps, better for holding a phone in the pocket. I had 4 people ask me about the jacket in 1 afternoon. Fun for a day in the city.

Fun, stylish coat.
I felt like Cruella Deville in this (in the best way). Another reviewer mentioned that the collar was a little weird, and I have to agree. But I would definitely recommend it anyway.

This coat made the perfect roar for my New Years Masquerade party...yet looked great with jeans too!
At first when I unwrapped this coat I thought "oh dear" but I decided to try it on, just as my husband walked by and said "very nice" : ) It was a bit too big I could have gone a size down but never bothered, which was fine as the few times I wore it I threw it on over complete outfits with plenty of room to spare, which was nice, and it still hung well. I rented it for an extended period, so it made a great New Years Masquerade coat, I wore it over a striking black Jill Sanders dress to a film screening and out to a girls brunch with cords and boots another time. I almost bought it, but another one I tried out from RTRW won out! What a great way to try before committing to buying to a big item (especially in small New York City spaces) like another big coat, by renting it for a stretch, I had a spare that we'll all share ; ) super fun coat. Again, try it on! I didn't see myself in animal print - EVER! And I must admit: it was PURRfect!

OMG - this coat is ev-er-y-thing. I mean, it does all the basic things a winter coat should do: keeps you warm, enhances an outfit, makes you feel fashionable in the dead of winter. But most importantly, it is so cool! The cheetah/animal print is always in (and personally, cheetah is a "neutral" in my book), and the patent leather accents add this fun, retro 70's vibe. The overall fit is true to size. I typically wear a size 10 in most everything, and I wore that for this jacket, even with a thick Levi's button down underneath. If you are worried about having enough space for your favorite chunky sweater, then go ahead and size up. I would recommend this for all body types, accept for may petite girls, just because the length might be a little odd. Overall, I give this a thumbs up! Pair with a felt wide brim hat and some studded gloves - killer.

A warm coat that makes a statement! So COOL! But runs 1 size large and visually adds about 30 lbs.
This coat is super cool and will keep you warm. I wore it in New England in February. Would be great for ski vacations! Unfortunately, it adds about 30 lbs (but who cares with a coat like this!). The coat runs 1 size large: I am usually a size 10 on top (5'8", 154 lbs, 36C) and this coat in size 40/8 fit well. I made sure to wear the coat with skinny jeans to visually offset the bulkiness of this coat. Even at 5'8" tall, I just barely pulled off wearing this coat without the coat swallowing me. Aside from the sizing issue, the only other small negative is that the button at the patent leather neck collar doesn't stay closed. I needed to wear a scarf to keep me warm at the neck area.

This one is definitely dramatic. Warm but I wouldn't recommend it for temperatures less than 50 degrees. Front pockets big enough for wallet, lipstick and compact. Didn't need to carry a handbag.

This leopard coat is everything. I didn't wear it because I didn't anticipate how warm and heavy it would be. It was cool in Georgia but not cold enough for that powerhouse. I will definitely rent this coat when I travel to NY or Canada.

Beautiful fabrication. The collar and pocket trim are a little different (plastic version of patent leather) which made it funky and not as wearable for me in my day to day. But a really cool piece and super warm.

RTR Team Review
Absolutely love the look and feel this Carven coat has to offer. I wore this to work on a rainy day and was extremely comforting for what the day was. Also, the leopard print itself is a standout with slight leather details on the collar and the flaps of the pocket. Running true to size, I recommend sticking with your primary size. I personally paired with our DVF black culottes and a black turtle neck.

Fantastic Coat!
The coat is heavy and the fur is perfect! I received so many street compliments from women and men. I often wore the coat with leather pants - skinny and cropped - which really picks up the leather trimming. The sleeves run slightly short and the coat did shed a little on certain sweaters. I wore the 36 and would have preferred a size smaller. But, the great thing about this coat is that you can wear it a little big and it still looks great!

Too Pretty!
This coat was beeeeautiful, but I chose not to wear it- when I rented it I thought I could make it look a little rock n roll, but when I put it on I realized it was way too nice! It's a coat that looks expensive, and with the leopard it was just too over the top. This would be better for a Kardashian styled person than someone who's looking for an edgy piece.

Nice and Warm
I didn't end up wearing this coat , because it was too warm for Los Angeles. Fit was good and the coat is very well made. It came to just above my knees, so it would give good coverage for those cold winter days and nights, and it's very stylish and on trend, too.

Sassy!
Great coat. If I were designing it however I would use a cloth collar. The patent- leather collar is stiff, not warm and a bit uncomfortable. To get around this I wore a scarf or a separate collar. Lots of compliments over all. I wore it at least ten times!

RTR STYLIST REVIEW
This coat is absolutely fabulous and a complete show stopper. The leather at the neck and pockets are funky additions an an already interesting coat, and the more you look at it the more you find to love about it! It's incredibly warm, so it's perfect for the winter season, and it runs true to size, if possibly a tiny bit large. But considering you may want to wear a sweater or layer in the colder months, a slightly bigger coat can be preferable! If you're looking for a piece to add a little excitement to a more basic winter wardrobe, this is definitely one to consider!

Awesome piece I'd never buy--but this is why I RTR!
Statement coat that hits the fur trend head on. Noticeable but not outrageous. Outside of my comfort zone but I loved it--the faux fur is very nice quality and soft, and the print is well done. Only cons are that the closures are weak and pop open when you walk even though the coat is not tight and it runs a bit big--I wear a 10 and this fit easily over large sweaters with room to spare. Works well with skinny jeans or black leggings and tall black boots.

Couldn't pull off
I really really wanted to be able to wear this, but it looked like I was wearing a bear costume in leopard print. I think you need to be tall and big boned to pull off, otherwise it's really overpowering. I'm 5'4 and and a size 2 and it was just huge. It is a beautiful coat, just not something everyone can look good in.
