This dress was so cute. From the pattern to the way it drapes. It's so easy to throw on and accessorize. Make sure you wear something underneath on a windy day though

Personally, I love this dress and would give it 5 stars all day…. The reason I give it 4 is because it can be tricky to wear and put on as a rental. I saw the potential and purchased immediately, which allowed me to make a few alterations to fit. The dress I received had already gotten a home made, alteration by a previous renter, you could see that the hidden clasps had been moved around. The previous renter must have had an 18” waist because it was inhumanly tight. This dress wraps and tucks and has various folds, like origami but when you get it right, this dress is one of the most flattering dresses I own. It’s both sexy and a bit conservative at the same time. The fabric is super high quality and a bit thick, so it holds its shape. The dress is short but has a varying length hem due to the folds so it works. Looks great if you’ve got long legs. I absolutely love this dress, now that I’ve made the proper adjustments to fit. If you rent, be prepared to experience others moving the clasps around…. You may need to do the same or get creative with safety pins

Loved this dress' shape and pattern. However it wasn't super practical, as the slit in the skirt would fall open sometimes. Additionally I needed to pin the top so it didn't fall open

Had so many complements on this dress! The waist section is tight and I have to use safety pins to hold it together, and there are two slits so sitting down can be risqué but otherwise amazing !

This dress is so pretty, it has the most beautiful fabric. The down side is the snaps always come undone. I had to safety pin myself in, after that the dress was perfect.

As others have mentioned, the waist is really small and the snaps that hold the dress together are basically worthless. However, once I got it on & positioned correctly (secured with safety pins - you'll need 3) it turned out to be my most favorite rental to date! It's perfect for an afternoon of brunch, shopping, walking around or dinner out. It's definitely short but the skirt part is flowy & I found be it to be very flattering, overall comfortable & most importantly cute!

I had been wanting to rent this all summer but wanted the perfect occasion. This dress was perfect to bring on my vacation to Florida and to wear on a boat. The size available was a size up from what I usually wear but it still fit well. Unlike the other reviews I didn't feel the need to pin the top shut, but it is interesting how many slits and how low cut it is. The closure of this dress with the oversize hook and two snaps was also different. Overall the fit of the dress was perfect and wearing it made me never want summer to end!

A little strange on the fit, as other reviewers mentioned...I used plenty of fashion tape to make sure that the dress stayed closed at the wrap section. Also, the waist was strange, so I pinned it instead of using the clasp, to allow for a more comfortable and secure fit. I loved wearing this dress and enjoyed the pop of color and feminine styling. Walking down the street felt fun, and people definitely stopped to check me out while I was wearing this!

This dress was really cute and perfect for vacation. I felt like there was a lot of extra fabric on top making it very baggy and the bottom portion fit fine. I had the pin the top since I felt like the belted loops kept undoing. Otherwise, I chose not to pin up all the extra fabric since I liked the baggier look. I did love how unique this dress was though and got a lot of compliments!

The waist is unreasonably small and the snaps are not helpful while there seems to be excess material on top. I had to use about 5 safety pins total to keep everything in place (waist, tucking some of the top and pinning the bottom together) but in the end the dress looked like a dream. The colors are beautiful and bright the panels created a flirty silhouette. I would definitely recommend renting but size up and being ready to do some safety pin alterations.

It's beautiful, comfy, fits great. I loved the dress but never worn. Buttons on waist unbuttoned sever times during trying it on. Will try to go size up, hope it will not be too big

I absolutely love this dress. Love the fit (well mostly) , color, shapes and pattern. I think it's shape gives very feminine and flattering silhouette and the color and pattern are beautiful and unique. That said, everyone is right about its odd size. I ordered larger size but the belt did not even come close to close for me (was about an 1.5 inch too far so I could not even squeeze myself in). Wrap skirt was sewed by someone but still opened quite a bit (don't ever wear this on windy day or if you are planning on doing a lot of walking). Front was very low cut. But I was so determined to wear this at least once so used safety pin to tie the belt and close the front opening. As long as I did not walk outside I was fine with it. The volume on top did not bother me as I have slightly larger chest area. I thought large top gave an illusion of tiny waist. I think this is a perfect piece for if you have photo shoot but not a practical piece at all. That said I absolutely adored it!

I love this dress, but like everyone else said, there is lots and lots of extra fabric on top. A handful of strategically placed safety pins did the job for me though and I was able to wear it and and not feel like I was swimming in fabric. The skirt is constructed in a really fun & flirty way so I had a great time wearing it (in Mimi)!

The fit was true to size but a bit low cut I had to pin it. It was a pretty hot day so the material was a bit heavy.

It's a nice print and design. There is a safety pin in the dress, which didn't seem to be part of the dress but rather left by someone, but it was helpful in keeping the wrap together. It fits a little small in the waist.

Love the overall look of this but I have to say it was a little bit tricky with the belt that comes with the dress. I ended up having to use my own personal belt to hold it together. I got compliments on the outfit!

This dress is so cute. It nips nicely at the waist for a flattering effect. It is fairly short I must warn. The other big call out is the top part is a little low, and can pop open a bit, so you might want to wear a nude body suit to make sure you are properly covered especially if wearing to office. Overall I really loved, only wish I had plans to go out so more people could see it. So I plan to rent again in future.

True to size-I am an 8. There are 2 tiny snaps at the waist that were eager to let go with every move-if I owned this I would have a substantial hook added at the waist. In lieu of that-don't leave home without a safety pin. Consider yourself warned. OK- so the pic from the side shows the awesome panels that make this dress amazing....and an eyebrow raiser if you are out in the wind like I was. I wore out for cocktails one night with nude high heel sandals and again for brunch with the flats. The top feels large, but that is the design. I think the prettiest silhouette is from the back, which is a bummer. Maybe better on someone taller than me. :)

I loved this dress! It was different, fun and flattering. However, the construction and fit is a little different - the skirt is made of open flaps and the top is very open and blousey. I used fashion tape on the top and to keep the skirt from opening while I sat. It's very forgiving - except for the waist band, which is a snap closure and does not stretch.

It's a beautiful and unique dress. I wore this to a baby shower for a baby boy and received many compliments. The only issue I had was that the waist ran really small so every time I would sit the two clasp buttons would come undone. Little low cut but I just used a safety pin so crisis overrated. Beautiful dress but just has the issue with the waist.

I loved the look of this dress, but the fit was really awkward. There's a built in "belt" type strap that hooks around the waist, but it was VERY tight, where as the top portion of the dress was really large and frankly too big on me. It just didn't seem proportional at all. It's also REALLY short, and with the various flaps and folds of fabric, and be very revealing if you aren't careful. I ended up using 3 or 4 safety pins to keep everything in place. Also, the fabric is on the heavy side, so if you're going to be outdoors and it's really warm, this might be too heavy for you. All that said, I received a lot of compliments on the dress and I loved the look. Just wish it fit better!

Chest has wayyyyy too much excess fabric. If I had worn I would be flashing nonstop. Why does this dress even have pockets on the chest? Pointless and just adds volume.

I wanted a nice summer dress for my daughter's dance recital. The print is actually cute with scuba divers in plants and submarines. But it was heavy polyester like stuff from the 60's and it had a couple of places that would gap (top and bottom). I'm not into pinning stuff especially when I'm renting it. There was a lot of extra material on top that just seemed weird. I ended up returning it without wearing it because it was wrong on so many levels.

Way way too small for a size 6 and the fabric is this awful heavy '70s thrift store polyester. The dress felt tight in the morning and after breakfast the flimsy snap closure kept popping off.

Unable to wear; even though I sized up 2 sizes, it was still too tight to close on my chest.

This dress fit in the waist but was really tight and uncomfortable. It was huge in the top shoulders/bust area and looked really bad on me. Couldn't wear it

So awkward!! The top and the length are perfect, but the clasp on the waist is so TINY!! The first clasp buttoned nicely and the second felt like it was about 6 inches too far away. Super awkward bc everything fits it's just the last clasp, doesn't make sense and it makes the dress unwearable.

I went one sizes up I should have gone 2. Super tight at the waist and I have a small one. Really pretty dress though

i loved this. i didnt have the same issues others did with the fascinator. but i wouldn't recommend wearing on a windy day

i probably should have gotten a 40 as the snaps on the waistline would pop off anytime i took a deep breath of air. these snaps rested right on my ribcage, so I ended up having to use a safety pin as back up security.

This dress fit perfectly (save for the fact I needed a tank top under it and when sitting down, if I took a deep breath, the snaps would unhook) and I received many compliments on it. It's flirty and I though the pattern might be too bold, but it was perfect. Don't let my sizing comments stray you from ordering it, if you go larger the top part will be too big and the waist will look sloppy. I just sometimes take really deep breaths.

the waist is quite fitted and by the end of the night the button was popping from time to time when i sat down. the rest of the dress fit as should (but i did size up)

I couldn't get it to fit so couldn't wear it. I'm pretty slender, usually a size 4 or 6, and because of the clasps, you couldn't squeeze into it. However, I'd consider trying it again in a bigger size as the dress would be very cute.

Rented this for taking engagement photos out and about in Prospect Park. Perfect choice as it's quirky, romantic, and flattering without being form-fitting or difficult to wear. I don't see how you could wear this without some kind of skirt, short, or slip underneath because the style is such that the skirt is in several pieces and so the wind will flip them all around. Which is wonderful and flirty if you have something cute underneath and possibly tragic if you don't. I sized up after reading reviews it was definitely the right decision. The waist unpopped on me a few times, but it wasn't much trouble. And during the course of the shoot I was riding on a merry-go-round, jumping up on bridges and sitting on steps, moving around a lot. Loved this piece. Not sure if I'd buy it since the fabric is kind of heavy and so it would only really work on a certain kind of drizzly spring day.

The dress itself is very beautiful but it runs so small in the waist. Beware when you sit down or move around the two snaps that basically hold the entire dress closed may pop open. I would recommend going 1-2 sizes up.

The print and styling are awesome. I wore it to work and received many compliments. Beware, the dress does open up in odd places. I actually had to put small stitches at the bust and at the hem from keeping it from bursting open. I also work a pair of shorts underneath since the dress is quite short. Despite all this, I loved wearing it.

As the other reviews mentioned, this dress is not held together very well by the internal clasp. I fixed that pretty easily with a safety pin and was happy I took the time to do so because it is such a flattering dress. It shows off a small waist and the neckline shows just enough.
