I'm 5'3". Athletic build. The dress definitely did not have any give around the waist, so I'm glad to have the larger backup. Usually wear a size 6-8 and ended up wearing the size 10. Loved having the pockets!!! Wore this to a wedding reception and received a lot of compliments. My friend (with me in the picture) also is wearing a Rent the Runway dress! Several other ladies too!!!

This is a great dress which makes a subtle statement. The fabric is a nice thin woven cotton but it is fully lined. And it has pockets! The style is essentially fit and flare but the criss cross neckline gives it a little edge. Requires a strapless bra. Hit just below the knee on me - I'm 5'4"

Fit as described. Loved the dress!! Loved the pockets! Had to hit it quickly with an iron. Will definately uses RTR in the future.

This dress was wonderful! The material is very light and smooth, and the dress even had pockets. Easy to get into and comfortable to wear. I had to iron it when it arrived, but overall I really liked this dress.

Loved this dress after reading reviews I was worried about the top fitting. I just sized up and it was perfect!

I wore this dress as a last minute (thank you, RTR pro!) replacement for a dress that was too heavy for the event I was attending. Everyone at the wedding said I looked "stunning", which really makes a girl feel good! Loved it!

The dress was a bit snug in the waist but has enough give that I was comfortable. It is otherwise true to size.

I received tons of compliments on this dress. The crossing fabric is a nice touch. It runs very tight through the bust area, but flowy through the hips and hits below the knees. The 40 was tight around my rib cage, but I decided it was so flattering that I would tough it out. For comfort or a bit more room up top, I would have chosen the 42.

This dress fit me really well. It was a classy dress that was just slightly different in that it could pass for a more formal dress OR "just" a cocktail dress. I had several compliments on it throughout the evening. The fabric is light and the only drawback is that it wrinkled easily. The dress was comfortable and snug on the top and the skirt was flowy. I have bigger hips/thighs and I felt this dress complimented my waist and hid my hips. I chose to wear a bra but did not feel as though it was a must.

This dress is beautiful on! The material is casual enough to wear on a date but you could definitely dress it up more with accessories to make it a bit more formal. This is the PERFECT summer dress with pockets in it so that you can throw in a lip gloss and your phone. I can't say enough about it!

Great dress. I am not usually brave enough to go bra-less but this dress made it possible and comfortable to do so. It is comfortable, fits well, and is unique. I got several compliments. It will show off your arms / shoulders, is not too tight through the chest or abdomen like some can be, and will hide if you carry some weight on your hips / thighs. It was wrinkled when it arrived, but a cool iron was all it needed. Highly recommend.

The 36 was so tight I could barely breathe in it! Super cute, though--I loved the material and the way the skirt falls. The criss-cross style gives you good range of motion in your arms (I like to be able to move in my dresses!). I'd size up if you have a wider-than-normal ribcage or if you're larger than A/AA! Wish I could have worn it.

The material is great and the A line skirt made the dress extremely comfortable.

This dress is cute and lightweight for summer. I liked the style of the neckline and the fact that the back is solid, so it works for more conservative/business events. I found the fit in the waist and hips, as well as the length to be just right. The bodice however fit extremely tight. I could not zip it up all the way, so obviously could not wear it.

Loved the simplicity of this dress! The neckline really added a lovely touch of style and sophistication. The fabric is thinner than I would have expected but the pockets made up for it. I wore this dress to my office party, it was perfect for the occasion.

not for the big chested...better for someone whose a B, my 34C self could barely breath in the 36, and i'm a consistent size 4. loved the pockets and the fabric.

I would have preferred the next size up but it was not available. Too tight in the bust. Also a bit long on me.

This is a very flattering dress, however, the size I ordered, a 36, was much too small in the bust area. I could not even squeeze myself in to zipper it up. I'm very narrow in the waist and rib cage area but still could not fit into it. The rest of the dress fit beautifully.

lovely dress but almost impossible to figure out how to put it on! Once I figured it out, I liked the way it looked but was concerned the straps would not stay adjusted properly across the chest. The length is okay but probably a bit too long for many ladies...I'm 5'4" and it hit well below my knee.

Flattering fit but did not seem to be well made. Flimsy, nylon-like material. Boning also poked under the bust.

This dress fit every were but couldn't get it zipped up my back even with my husbands help. The zipper was very delicate. I ordered a size 4 which is my usual size. Decided that the 6 would of been too large around my waste. So I just retuned it.

Don't recommend for even moderately busty gals. Or maybe you should size up? The lower half was fine, but I couldn't zip it all the way up. The dress looked like it would've been cute though!

I'm usually a size 6 in dresses but I wasn't even close to zipping this dress up and I have no chest at all. Not even sure if the 8 would have worked. otherwise I bet it's a cute dress if you can get the right size!

Dress runs VERY tight in the bust to ribcage area. Material has to be steamed before wearing. By the end of the night it was completely wrinkly again. Looks so cute on the model - but a high maintenance dress in real life!!

So bummed about this dress! It's adorable but not true to size by any stretch of yhe imagination. I wear a size 4, weigh 115 lbs and I couldn't get the zipper even halfway up my back. I can usually squeeze into a size 2. Very disappointing and now no dress to wear tomorrow night.

Rented this dress for a cocktail attire event. I saw the reviews of it being small and expected to have issues with the bottom because I'm very pear shaped. I actually had issues with the top instead. Along with the top being very small, the metal boning was sticking out and poking me. If the dress had fit properly, I still wouldn't have been able to wear it due to the metal.
