This deess is very cool - the material is textured and raised and it seems to be well-made. I'm usually a 6 or an 8 in dresses and the 38 fit pretty well. I have two complaints though...1) the slits are pretty high and 2) the texture of the dress makes me look a little chunkier than I am. Otherwise, a well-made and unique black dress!

Went to a hospitality event where building materials were used as materials for clothing in a fashion show. Went to the Topanga Canyon store and one of the girls picked this dress out for me, citing the fabric. This dress is comfortable and fits my body shape perfectly. Felt gorgeous all night. Highly recommend.

I got it to wear for work but its a little dressier so you could def wear this out at night or to an event. I added a snakeskin belt to dress it down a bit for work. It fit perfectly and was extremely flattering. Sorry the picture is bad .. not enough lighting.

I loved the fabric of this dress both it also made it a bit shapeless. It was a great choice for the event I went to in which I wasn't sure how dressed up or down to go.

I'm petite with a little more junk in the trunk. To me, the waist was positioned too low on the dress and the bottom skirt part wasn't long enough. I still made it work, but probably won't get again because of the fit. Fabric and texture is wonderful, nice quality

this dress was very flattering, but pretty short. might work w/ black tights in cooler weather. the fabric is fairly thick so best for fall/winter. also, the fabrication is a bit fancy for work, but you could still pull it off if you wanted.

This is a cute dress and fit in my waist, but didn't fit at all in my arms. I had the size 38. The fabric has no stretch. Might rent it again in a bigger size, but afraid then it would be too big in my waist.

this dress was VERY short on me (I am tall) . It was wearable but I wouldn't have been able to move, or sit, so I passed. Very cute for a shorter girl. The fabric does add some weight to you, just to note.

Love this brand. Cute fit but worth noting the material is a little puffy. There are little slits in the front on this one so I would say I was on the fence about wearing it to work but ended up going for it. It was fine but probably better for an evening work event than daytime. Cute!

this dress had a lot of potential. Based on the reviews, I sized up because I'm 5'4" and 120, typically hover right around a size 2/4 but most times the reviews encourage to size up, I always need to or it won't event zip up over my rib cage for some of these higher end, european designers. So went with a 38. It was still a fun outfit but it certainly did not "fit like a glove" and I had to belt it and wear a padded bra- it did nothing for my figure because I was swimming in the extra fabric. If I rented again I would definitely go down a size. It was fine for a work event but if it had been for a formal affair or a wedding or a night out, I'd have not worn it.

It was a nice dress and the texture was interesting enough to put a bit of a spin to the dress. However, the dress is very understated. It works if you're looking for a nice dress to wear to work, but I wouldn't use it as a date dress by any means. It got the job done. I wouldn't have gotten it if it weren't for unlimited.

I loved this dress - but wore it almost like a shirt with black skinny pants. Even with black tights it was really short (Im 5'8"). The fabric is really beautiful in person - but a little thick so made me look a little fuller. I probably could have worn a size down or added a belt to slim it out a bit. I recommend this one!

Beware, if you are tall the slit comes up quite high

I have stepped up my game at the office but this was a little dressier material than I thought. It's a thicker material with a nice shine to it. I felt this ran a little large, it bunched a bit around the tummy so I didn't end up wearing it but would be a great date night LBD and the front slits are perfecto!

Doesn't really look very good on. The concept of the two front slits is nice but not well executed.

This was a really short dress for work - I was on the fence but wore it anyways. The detailing was a little too much, like a tapestry. It just felt a little too ornate and needed a modern edge (hence the length?) Wouldn't wear this one again but was fun for the day. Zipper was stiff so make sure you have a helper!

I am between a 6 and a 8. I ordered the 8 because I was unsure of this Designer and the fit. The 8 fit big on the top and tight on the bottom. If you have curves this is not the dress for you. It runs straight up and down.

The fit is good, true to size. The fabric is VERY thick, so it adds a good half inch to your silhouette. I thought I would hate it on, but I really really liked it! It was my 10 year olds idea to belt and and I am glad I did. It dressed it down for work!

I rented this in size 4 because the Carven skirt I previously rented ran very small. This dress runs big and the fabric is not made to flatter your body shapes. It's also not a comfortable material. My stomach looked bumpy.

If you rent order one to two sizes larger than normal I was not able to wear it. I'm a size 4-6. I ordered a 6 and it was still too snug.
