I am a smaller chested gal, and there was a little too much strap which caused a slight bit of gapping in the chest. The fit through the mid section was a bit snug, but once I was in the dress (zipped up) it was fine. The full skirt was the perfect length with high heels - it literally brushed the tips of my toes (I am about 5 ft 2 in and had on 4-5 inch heels). It was hard to tell from pics if the dress had a slit - it does not. Still a super classy and fun formal gown. If between two sizes - order up!

This gown is GORGEOUS!!! It was my back up gown and Im so happy It was an option. If you have curves it will hug them in the right places. If you are on the shorter side you may have to adjust the straps for a perfect fit but this gown is elegant, sexy, & has the perfect amount of what I call "simple drama". This dress is so gorgeous! I love how simple yet unique this gown is by Cooper Street. Running true to size, I recommend sizing down if you don't like to have any extra room in the bust area. Although there is a v-neck, you can wear a standard strapless bra. At 5'3" the length of the gown still hit the floor which is a plus if you don't want your heels to show.

I was surprised at how well this fit since I’m only 5’1. It was ther perfect length with a heal. The straps were a little long for me and my boobs could have used a tad more room but over all I thought it was really pretty on!

I normally wear a 6, but the 6 was too tight so I wore the 8 and it was perfect! So elegant and comfortable. I got so many compliments! I didn't wear a bra, which is a win in my book!

This fit live a glove! It was a little snug around the hips, but I just pulled it up a bit when sitting down. The fabric is nice and heavy, but light enough that the ruffles and skirt have good movement.

Straps were a bit long. Had to pull them back.

I wore this to a masquerade Christmas party. It is a very light fabric which made dancing very easy (it also flows very well!) it was just a tad big under the arms but everything else fit very well. Would rent this again!

Runs on the small side, normally a 4 but thank goodness I ordered the back up 6. Got tons of compliments. It is tighter on the stomach area than expected. Great dress!

I loved this dress, but as others have mentioned in the reviews it is VERY snug in the hips. If you are smaller on top, it can be a little difficult to find the perfect size. I was between the 2 and the 4. The 4 would have been more comfortable around the hips, but would have been too big in the chest. Overall, I was really happy with how it turned out. I used a stick-on backless, strapless bra to help me fill it out on top. Good luck!

The dress is beautiful and feels luxurious, as the fabric is fairly heavy and sturdy. I received many compliments on it! There is no give in the fabric and though the bottom is flowy, it is very fitted in the hips. (So order a size up for your backup!) I was able to wear it without a bra and felt like it gave good support. One downside is that I am 5'5 and had to wear flats because it's a pretty short dress. I was comfy but would have preferred a heal. Overall a really solid dress!

This dress was so beautiful! I wore it with 5 inch heels and the length was perfect. It has a slim fit through the hips and butt so I wore the bigger size for comfort while sitting. The top was a tad big but was able to wear a strapless bra with the dress which made the fit perfect. This was my first time using RTR and the whole process was wonderful! Can't wait to rent from them again.

Love the spaghetti strap top. Big plus: can be worn workout a bra, no prob. Fabric has very little give, though, so maybe size up if looking for a backup.

At 5’7” with 4” heels this dress was 1/2” off the floor which made it great to walk in. The top half is fitted which makes bending over and moving while seated challenging. The bottom is not as full as pictured but it moves beautifully when you walk. My one issue with the dress is that the bust has no support or cups which made it a bit uncomfortable towards the end of the night.

This dress fit me perfectly and I am sad to send it back! It is fitted through the chest, waist and hips, and it makes your butt look amazing :) I am 5'8 and was wearing 2.5 inch heels - the hem hit 1-2" above the ground in heels. I didn't wear any bra and it was completely fine (I am a C cup). The back is a bit low cut so plan on a backless bra if you need one. The full skirt is really beautiful when you walk, lots of movement to it. The fabric has a nice weight which helps hold the structure. The dress is a great combo of elegant and sexy, understated but still beautiful and special. Chic!

I wore this dress to a Black Tie Optional wedding and I thought it was perfect. Very elegant, but simple enough that I didn't feel over the top. The fabric is thick and very comfortable to wear without feeling heavy or hot. There is no give in the fabric and the waist/ribs were definitely sung so I would size up if you're in-between sizes. My only complaint is that I wish it had come in a long option. I'm 5'11" and the dress was about 2 inches off the floor.

I went through four sizes with this dress! It’s important for anyone with wide hips (especially pear shaped girls) to know that this dress does run smaller in the hips area, and so if you want it to fit perfectly you should go up a size. Aside from fitting struggles, this dress was elegant and understated. I got so many compliments on how classy I looked, and would suggest this dress for any sort of formal/work affair.

Fit was tight, but that is because I'm typically a size 4. The 2 was the only size available, so we made it work, but this dress is definitely true to size, so order your normal size ;) It was truly striking and a perfect length. Got complements all night!

The 4R fit great - 5’6 and received many compliments. The only difference between the 2R and 4R was additional room in the waist, the top and bust area fit the same for both dresses. Slightly shorter than expected so wore flats. Loved the material and comfortable. Would recommend!

I used a consultant in NY to help me find the dress for a black tie wedding. Everyone, including people that I didn't know, complimented on how elegant the dress looked on me. Fabric is a little on the heavy side but didn't bother me too much.

It fit very nice and I loved the bottom how it flowed out but I was still able to walk in it

Loved this dress and got so many compliments (especially for a black dress). I'm 5'1 and 110lbs and wore the 2R. I wore 4 inch heels but still had to be careful about tripping over the front. I am a 32dd so I used pasties and lots of fashion tape to keep the top in place. The straps were very long and fell down a bit, I secured the neckline with fashion-tape and everything stayed in place even through lots of dancing.

Runs small, I am 122 lbs and 5.4 h I am wearing a size 2 and used the size 6R it fit perfect including the length just the straps were a little loose for me but not a big deal. Excellent dress quality fits right and comfortable

This dress fit perfectly and smoothed out all the right places. The fabric felt thick and well made. The assymetrical ruffles looked very modern and I stood out in the crowd, even though I was wearing black! I got compliments all night. I would definitely recommend this dress!

This was so perfect for a last minute gala I attended. I have a complicated size since I'm a 2 on top, 4 in the middle, and a 6 on my hips. I wore the 4 and it overall fit well. A little snug on the hips but not unbearable. The dress is super flattering. You get the perks of a fuller dress without commuting to a ball gown style which was a huge plus for me!

Straps are a bit loose - I am generally an 8-14 depending on brand. I have a large chest, wide rib cage, and broad shoulders - even so the straps were a small bit loose. I am typically smaller in other places, including a fairly flat backside. It fit like a glove everywhere else. I have a short torso and this hit the perfect spot. Really pleased even with the slightly loose straps.

Dress fit like a glove. I didn’t have to wear a bra or use and safety pins to keep the top up (which is usually a concern for me). I wore high heals and the dress just floated perfectly off the ground. I was able to dance in the dance, eat, drink, walk and sit in the dress without any issues. I was very sad when the ball was over and had to return the dress!

Great fit around the hips and waist but slightly too big on the chest, I had to wear a padded bra and the straps were a little too long but I managed. Length was perfect - I'm 5'5 and wore heels. Felt like a princess and received a lot of compliments.

I usually wear a 6 or an 8 and I wore an 8 in this. A little tight around my butt. It was long enough for me and I am 5'10". It may be a little long for someone shorter. I am wearing 3" heels in the picture too.

Originally ordered the 12R but it was very loose in the bust and waist. The 10R was a little bit tight, but I still managed to zip up the dress and it gave me more of shape that I wanted. I wore flats with this dress and it was just at the ground, so it might be short for ladies 5'7" and taller. The dress is on the heavier side. There is no padding in the chest area and I went braless so my boobs were flatten since I went with the smaller size. They looked weird if staring at a side view, so I'd suggest wearing a strapless bra with shaped cups. Either than that, I was very happy with this dress. Bust - 38D Waist - 34 Hips - 43

Straps were too big, had to pin them. That was the only issue!
