Such a beautiful dress. A bit long though.

This dress was a perfect fit on almost everything. The only con was that it was too long for me. I'm 5'7", and I didn't wear any heels with this. The dress was about 4-5 inches too long, so I couldn't walk at a normal/fast pace without pulling it up. The chest was just right, but consider sizing up if you're particularly large-chested. The fabric stretches, but only a little. It's also on the heavier/thicker side, so keep that in mind if you're going to be moving/dancing a lot in this dress. Other than that, it fit great everywhere else (waist, hips, etc.) Overall, this was a great experience. Customer service was awesome. I'm definitely using RTR again.

Absolutely Stunning

The fit was absolutely fantastic! I have a very hourglass figure and this dress fit my waist very well without the "baggy tummy" look. I was able to wear a real bra which was awesome but unlike the other reviews, I don't know how you could wear Spanx because it's tight until your knee so you would see the lines of either the top or bottom of them. I'm 5'3 and wore the long with 3in heels and it actually hit perfectly on the ground, I guess my butt brought the length up lol. The only problem was the fabric had a lot of snags in it which you can't see in pictures but I noticed and almost looked "furry". Also, the color is almost like a mod or if you mixed blush with a tan color. Not as pink as I thought but overall it looked so good with my skin color! By the way, I had ordered a different dress and because it was damaged, they called me right away and helped me find this dress! I'm so happy though because this dress was even better than the first dress and everyone said I looked like a bombshell!!

A little tight, a lot of sexy

Gorgeous construction of the gown. It is snug and will show your curves. It ran small and they didn't have my backup size so I got my spanx on and sucked into this dress. The hemline is a little dirty since it has a graceful train, but not noticeable by others. Neckline is beautiful. The material is thick and stretchy, nice for a fall wedding. I was very comfortable in this dress.

Everyone loved the gown!

Simple elegance. Very comfortable. I wore the 2L, but as a 5'10" gal I had to wear a very very low heel because the gown runs short.

Amazing! Understated show stopper!

When you have women come up to you to tell you that everyone has been staring at your dress - you feel like you just hit the lotto. Mission accomplished. I felt like a million bucks. The pictures online really do not do this dress justice. The fit, style, and color are simply elegant with just the right touch of sexy. Add the Star Light Star Bright necklace for the perfect final touch.

I felt stunning

This dress is incrediblyyy sexy and classy! The fabric feels wonderful. However, if you have curves, make sure you order up. Mine was SUPER tight in the butt area so I had to wear Spanx for pictures. Other than that, the dress was super comfy to wear. One other minor issue was that because I wore spanx, the lining bunched up when I walked, so the hem got weird and I had to fix it before pictures. Also, I would not recommend wearing any necklaces, bracelets rings with #D details because the dress catches very easily. Overall, I highly recommend this dress for a formal event.

Bark Ball Gown - Simple & DC Chic

The gown runs very small. I ordered a size 6R and an 8R - wished I ordered a size 10R. Although, the dress is suppose to be fitted, but breathing is important! I got a lot of compliments on the gown, it really was perfect for the event. I am 5'5 and wore 4 inch heels - the Regular length was a perfect hemline. I added the lace belt to add more definition to the waist.

Almost cried when I had to ship it back off.

Wore it to prom and it was an absolute hit! Very classic, elegant, and "old Hollywood" glamorous. With all of the glitter nd sequins, I think the simplicity of the dress helped me stand out. The fit is very tight, but the material is a but stretchy. The material hugs everything (good and bad) so I do not recommend wearing this gown without spanx. I'm 5'0, wore 5 in heels, nd 0L was definitely still really long, but the excess length works with this dress. tl;dr rent it, it's beautiful!

This dress was an attention getter, for sure.

I ordered the "long". I am 5'6", and wore 5 inch heels, but I am still wishing I had ordered the regular length. I did wear this dress with a mermaid slip. It made the silhouette much more dramatic, and helped a bit with the too-long length. The dress is very narrow. I usually wear a 6 or a 4. Although the 6 was a better fit on top, it was a visibly snug across my hips. I ended up wearing the 8, which was a bit loose in the chest area (I wore a very padded bra). However, the 8 did not make those "stretched fabric" lines across my pelvis. Overall, the dress was beautiful, and memorable. My husband commented that it was his favorite dress that I've worn thus far.

STYLIST REVIEW

Christian tends to run small, but I found this gown to have a great fit. True to size, fabric has a sligth stretch to it, and the neckline is so flattering! Bust, waist and hips are definitely fitted, and it's very fitted until the knee area, where it flares out. This gown is SUPER flattering, in a soft pink color. You can wear a normal bra with this dress as well! Overall, super gorgeous and really loved it.

Overall, a comfortable dress, but tough to call it "pink".

I'm 5'6" and typically a dress size 6-8. I wore the 8R with a 2.5" heel and was a little disappointed to find that is was just a smidgin too short. At the event I wore it to (where I was required to wear a pink dress) I got several comments questioning the color. In daylight, the pink is fair, but visible. Indoors or at night, however, beige is a more accurate description. While the dress was comfortable to wear, one could easily tell how well-worn it was from it's former wearers. I typically shy away from brocade fabrics because they have a very short lifespan, often fraying if they are worn too many times. And that's exactly what I saw when first looking at the fabric. Approximately a foot away, you can see how damaged the fabric is. Fortunately, at night, and from a far, the damage is unnoticeable. At the end of the day, the dress did it's job. But I just wish it could have wowed me a little more.

Fit for Royalty

Elegant curve hugger that will land you on the best dressed list. The dress gives you a dramatic sillouhette without looking like you are trying to hard. This dress runs slightly small (though not as small as some of Christian's other pieces). I am a size 0 to a 0p and wore the size 0R. The 2R was unavailable as a back up size, but I highly recommend sizing up in your back up size. You can wear a reguar bra (which is nice), but I also highly recommend spanx to keep the mid section smooth. The dress is tight down to the knee so keep that in mind if you plan to do a lot of dancing.

Truly felt like a princess

Absolutely fabulous gown! Every time I walked across the room all eyes were on me. If you have a hourglass frame I would go a size up. The color is a beautiful blush that goes well with darker skin tone. This gown is most definitely a winner!!!

Great service and the dress actually fit!

Make sure to order a size up. I am usually a 2 or 4 and the 6 fit well. I got tons of compliments and was even asked about my dress the next day from someone who heard about it !

Figure flattering

I wore a size larger than normal and it was pretty form fitting though I'm sure the 4 would've fit just been more snug. Was very from flattering. I didn't wear this to an event, it was sent to me as a courtesy to try a new style. Would definitely rent for an occasion!

Pretty dress, but was too big!

Pretty dress, but it was too big. I am usually between a 2 & 4, but other reviews said this dress ran small, so I tried the 6R. The dress was not only too big, but it was also too short. I am 5'6'' and it hit the ground perfectly with no shoes on- as soon as I put heels on it was way too short. Didn't wear this one unfortunally.

Got two sizes of this dress and ended-up going with my back-up. OK, not great. Odd fit.

I was really hoping one of the two sizes I got would work, but neither did unfortunately. The 8 was perfect up top, slightly boxy through the waist, and a little tight in the hips. The 10 was large all around, and would have looked ok with a belt but been a bit loose. The fabric is silk with a heavy lining, and is pretty thick so it covers imperfections pretty well. I'm bummed it didn't work for me.
