The dress runs a bit small - I felt like I had a bit more room to breathe in the size above what I normally wear. It's very shiny and silvery in person which is really beautiful and the tweed is a great look for fall/winter. The exposed back is a fun surprise. All in all I received many compliments. A great rental experience!

I wore this dress to my sorority's winter formal and I'm so happy I chose it. I am very indecisive and spent a lot of time looking for a dress that was the right mix of class and sexy. I actually ordered a different dress but RTR didn't have it and their amazing customer service totally made up for it by sending me this dress and another one. My girlfriends unanimously liked this one the best and I got tons of compliments at the formal. It fit like a glove, and although I'm petite I have a wider rib cage and was very comfortable. The sleeves were a little loose and puckered a little in the back but all in all I felt amazing and was thrilled!

Fit is snug in the hip region and you probably do not need a bra - i bought the backless bra from VS just in case. Perfect fabric for a fall/winter affair while staying hip and on trend with the leather. Just had to trim off some loose tweed which was a downer but all in all great dress!

I really loved the dress because it has a classic shape but modern feel with the sparkly tweed fabric and leather trim. I wore it for a new year's eve party and RTR included a matching headband -- how fun! You must be very careful about sizing though. This fabric does NOT stretch. It was a bit tight around the thighs. I found that my dress gapped a little in the back (the straps did not lie flat against my skin) and I didn't really see that in the model picture.

I wore this dress to my friend's rehearsal dinner and loved it. The dress doesn't have any stretch in it so make sure to order a size up. Also, I don't recommend it if you are wide at the hips since the dress does not have that much give.

I didn't realize how short this dress was going to be, and I'm 5'2". There is zero give in this dress and I found myself constantly pulling down the dress because I felt it was slightly inappropriate for church. If you have hips/butt (I have a butt), then you should definitely size up so it doesn't ride up.

Beautiful dress, showing just enough skin for a company holiday party. I got size 6 and 8, but 6 was too narrow around the hips. Size 8, while the dress did not stretch, fitted comfortably. Got lots of compliments throughout the night!

You need to order at least two sizes up! This dress would have been too small for my 11 year old daughter. It is cute, but there was no way I could have worn it. Also, the leather looks like it has been damaged from dry cleaning.

I am fairly slender (size 4) but I have some hips. This dress does not allow for curves at all. It was such a shame because it was so beautiful on the hanger. I think I would have had to go up to an 8 to get it to fit.

I rented this for my birthday and it was absolutely perfect. It's rather tight around the neck when sitting but this also made it so that I didn't need to wear a bra (i'm small chested so it might be uncomfortably tight for someone with a larger bust). It doesn't stretch at all and so is really made for a straight and narrow build! Overall I didn't want to send it back and got compliments all night. I felt amazing dancing in it! Would rent it again!

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding, and fell in love; I wish it was mine! I received several compliments and it was truly flattering. I wore it with Spanx black fashion sheers and black pumps. I felt like I was wearing Chanel all night!

This dress is perfect for any Fall/Winter event. I wore it recently to a black tie with black stockings and it looked great- received lots of compliments! It's a little more metallic silver than this picture shows.

This dress is absolutely AMAZING! I got SO many compliments. The silver metallic tweed is so unique and just to die for, and the deep V back is so flattering! I'm 5'7", 115 and I got a size 2, which fit absolutely perfectly! I was worried that being 35" long, it might be a bit too long on me, but it hit just about at mid thigh, which was perfect! The picture on the model does NOT do this dress justice. It's so much more beautiful in person! SO glam!

I usually wear a 6, but after seeing the comments and knowing this brand overall runs small- I ended up two sizes larger. The top half was falling off of me- but luckily it was cold so I just wore my jacket all night and it looked fine. I could have squeezed into the 8, but I dont think I would have been able to sit down. Overall, I liked the dress, but I would not recommend it to someone with a similar body shape to me (Pear). I think this dress would look great on an athletic body or someone who is bigger on top- the open back would allow a little give, although the material itself has no give to it.

I ordered the 4 and the 6, but they both seemed to fit the exact same, with the exception of the skirt length. The material doesn't give at all, so make sure to order your "true" size. Still, the dress was a lot of fun, funky and a huge hit at the party. I loved the back of the dress. It has a low V and it gave the dress a little bit of sass! However, this low cut also meant that I couldn't wear a proper bra. I had to get one of those "nu fit" bras from Nordstrom. This worked really well and helped give my bust a nice shape in the dress.

If you have a larger bust or hips, I highly recommend going up a size! I usually wear an 8 and should have gotten the 10 for more room in the chest!

I wore this to my sister's bridal shower. While the dress itself is gorgeous and very well made I honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone over a size 4. I normally wear a 4-6 and it runs small so thankfully my backup was an 8. This would best suit a very slender and shapely person. If your back doesn't look like Hilary Swank's it's a pretty unflattering cut - the front can make you look boxy and the armholes curve in more on the neckline for a sportier look which is NOT good if you have any armpit/side of boob fat. I wish I had looked better in it because, just look at the model - it's an amazing dress with cool tweed and leather detailing but I don't have Gweneth Paltrow's body so not everything is going to work :)

My original dress I ordered was unavailable last minute which was a bummer but was sent this beautiful dress instead.. I ordered 1 size up and it was still to tight so I called and they overnighted the next size up unfortunately I didn't get the dress the next day due to weather and I had to go out of town before the dress could arrive. It was very frustrating with not getting my original dress, then the dress not fitting then not getting the back up size in time for my event. I will say everyone I talked to from RTR was very helpful and they did all they could've done. Hopefully next time I will have better luck! Beautiful dress, be sure if you have curves or have an athletic build at east order 1 size up.

I loved this dress from the first minute I saw it, but it was not meant to be! It is made for athletic figures. You really need to be small below the belt to make this work for you. I'm not that big, I wear a lot of tight dresses, but the material didn't have any give so even one size up was snug. Extremely sexy dress tho!

I LOVED this dress online and also when I got it. The tweed is perfect for Fall, and the leather gives the ultra-proper tweed a little kick. However, it does not stretch at all. It's constructed for a girl who is built the same on top as she is on the bottom, and does not conform to a body type like mine (small-chested and small-boned up top with some hips). My hips are by no means wide, and I had trouble moving comfortably in the 4, but the top was gappy and ill-fitting in the 6. I would say this dress would be perfect if you are either big chested with smaller hips (the dress is tight enough that you may not need a bra), or if you are built straight up and down. Overall the dress is gorgeous, but you really have to consider your body type before ordering.

As far as the style of the dress and the fit, they were great. I was very excited to be renting this dress for free. Problem was, when I got home yesterday and took the dress out of the box, I wasnt pleased in the least. The dress looked like it was in very rough condition to the point where I had to go out and buy a different dress to wear. Its a goood thing thing that I got to rent this for free, because I probably will not use your company again. Im very disappointed.

This dress runs small. I wear a size 2 - 4 (curvy)and I think the 6 fit. It was tight on my hips and didn't quite fit right on top. It's a beautiful dress but I wasn't happy while wearing it at a black tie wedding. It wasn't fun to dance in and bunched up at the waist when I sat down. The fabric is very thick. I ordered it before as a back up dress, but it was too small. I couldn't wait to order it again in a bigger size and when I did, I was disappointed wearing it all night. Out of ALL the fabulous dresses I've rented... this one gets the lowest score.

I'm generally a perfect 6 and sometimes a 4. Espeically in dresses with out sleeves (my broad shoulders often push me into a 6). My lower half is in very good shape, and I do have some muscle. This dress was tight on my buttox and hips. Also, the fabric isn't the quality I expected. Thank goodness for the backup option.

I wasn't a fan of this dress, it fit in the bust (I'm a 36DDD, however it was too tight across my butt and was too baggy in the stomach. I don't have a big butt, but it made me look like I do! I was so disappointed in this dress.

I had a feeling this dress would be perfect in spite of the negative reviews. It fit beautifully and very true to size. I loved it, felt beautiful in it, and got tons of complements. If I could buy it from RTR, I would in a heart beat. This dress was a real success!
