It is fitted at the natural waist, but is loose at the hips. Since the top is see through, this should be worn with a strapless bra. The fabric is very stretchy! Pair this with colorful earrings!

This dress was awesome & fit just right. I am 5'1, 130 lbs & pretty curvy in hips/butt area. I got a ton of compliments and was extremely comfortable. The material feels more comfortable than it may look. 10/10 as far as rental & fit went. I would recommend this to any gal looking for a fun black dress for a wedding. I cut a rug in this all night too, the style did not interfere with dancing/comfort. Wore pale pink shoes and gold earrings. Love it! Would rent it again in a heartbeat. This was the 4R for anyone wondering.

I rented this a little worried about it being too fitted and showy... but after trying it on I was in love! It was the perfect dress for a fun summer wedding. Would highly recommend this dress- in addition to feeling great in it... it was super comfortable! It was very true to size for me!

I rented the red version of this last fall for a wedding and I loved it so much I tried the black this time around. I am a suck for a sexy LBD that is comfortable. I have a large chest so that is always a factor when I am picking out a dress. I was able to wear a strapless bra and had no issues whatsoever. I always get so many compliments when I do a RTR dress and received several with this one.

I've been a loyal RTR customer for years and this was my favorite rental yet! Perfect for a semi-formal wedding; comfortable and chic. I could have worn the 4 but wouldn't have been as comfortable dancing all night. Dress runs true to size. Bottom hem hit a couple inches below the knee and I am 5'8. Wish I owned this dress! Seriously obsessed and got compliments all night.

I received this in both my original size 4 and backup size 2. I first tried on the size 2 and decided it was the perfect fit. This dress was everything!! I should have gone a size up (to a 4). The dress fit me a little tight, especially in the bust, and I couldn't wear a bra. If you're a bustier girl I would keep this in mind.

Loved this dress! Wore it to a wedding in October with summer weather still going on so it was perfect. It doesn’t have much give, but true to size. Had a slight tear near the left shoulder, but because of the pattern in the fabric you couldn’t really tell.

Really well fitting

Third wedding & 3rd RTR rental = loving it!!! This Black Dress was not your typical simple black dress. The outer shell was a lace in flowers with an exposed shoulders (fits today's trend) and laced sleeves which allowed for arm coverage and not getting too hot while dancing the night away. Lingerie: definitely strapless black bra but would recommend with thin straps if you are 36C and above for support. If you have issues with your tummy - the under layer can definitely cover your tummy spandex panty style. Jewelry: wore RTR bracelet I bought black stones with gold, chandelier black and gold earrings. Shoes: cobble blue BCBG closed toed bumps. Definitely rich matte res lipstick is a must :) Best rental by far!!!

was an awkward fit until I folded and tucked the bottom part of the lace fabric into the top solid part of neckline using black safety pins because my torso was too short. safety pins at the edges of the dress by the armpit and middle. otherwise the waist fell too low and it bunched across the upper back. THEN i felt like a million bucks.

The 4 fit up until the bust so the 6 zipped right up and was a perfect fit. I was worried about the sleeves and them being restrictive but it was quite comfortable and easy to move. Sitting, standing and dancing were all a breeze! I felt beautiful in it and highly recommended this dress!

Sometimes you want to feel sophisticated and chic, and this dress does just that. Loved the lace detailing, and bare shoulder details. The lace pattern is even prettier in person. I'm petite so wasn't sure about the length, but with 3 inch shoes it was perfection. Did not want to send back!

It was really comfortable to sit in and didn't bunch at all. The "cold shoulders" stayed down and the flowy sleeves were really fun. It was a fun and flirty dress that wasn't too scandalous to wear around coworkers. Lots of complements!

Very flattering and interesting LBD. Loved the cold shoulder element and the sleeves. I was afraid they would be itchy or annoying but they didn't bother me at all and it was easy to dance in. Another pro: it's sexy but nothing was hanging out and no risk of a wardrobe malfunction. Other reviews said this ran small, but I don't think it warrants upping to a size you don't normally wear. Im usually a 0 or 2 and the 2 fit perfectly (ordered a 4 as back up because of the reviews I read but that would have been way too big).

I need this dress in my permanent closet! I am usually a true 12 and was a little worried about this being too tight, but it fit perfectly. Form fitting but not snug. I didn't feel the need for a bra (36C), but you could probably wear one if you needed. Perfect for a fun/casual wedding at a trendy venue. Some people were dressed really casually, but I still felt great in this! Could also work for a more formal affair. Honestly great for any season too! Will be renting again...

Loved this dress! Very comfortable- got sooooo many compliments. I wore this to a July wedding that was mostly outside and I wasn't any more or less hot than other guests. The sheath underneath is above the knee so it felt summery - I did not feel like I was wearing a long dress although this picture looks that way. I would rent it again

Absolutely loved this dress! Wore to a wedding in July and was super comfortable and not hot at all. I'm usually a size 4 and ordered both the 4 and 6 —ended up wearing the 4 which was a bit loose fitting, (could have possible worn a 2) but I'm guessing that's due to multiple rentals/wear and not sizing. Also, I'm 5'4 and was worried it would be too long on me, but looked lovely.
