I rented this dress for my fall engagement photo session, as this is one of my favorite colors (and one of my wedding colors). I love the elegant feel of the lace, but the modern elements like the hem length, and sheer skirt and sleeves. The dress/lace are very well-made and has a great sturdy feel, however this allows for little stretch in the fabric. For that reason although I am almost always a true 4R, I went with the 6R I ordered as a back-up. I would definitely recommend this dress and think it would be perfect for a fall wedding!

Fit was perfect everywhere. One flaw was having to pull the dress down a lot. Although an indoor wedding, this dress kept me warm and unphased by the 10 degree snowy weather outside.

I loved this rental, the color and lace were beautiful and I loved the sheer overlay and length. I wore this to two holiday parties back to back and got endless compliments. I am typically a size 4R but could not even get that over my hips - the 6R was perfect. If you have a big bust (I do not), you will want to size up as the arms and chest would be super tight. I was 10 weeks post baby delivery and this made me feel like I looked good. So many compliments. I don't think I've ever had so many compliments in my life. For me, the merlot color helped my olive pale skin look radiant. The material has a somewhat restrictive feel in areas other than the belly which was good. The restriction isn't too much; it's only in the arm and chest area. Even though I use the word "restrict" I never felt like I was going to rip out of the dress or anything like that.

I wore this to our niece's wedding. The lace is elegant and the sheath provides great coverage resulting in a mid thigh length for me. There is no give or stretch but the overall fit was perfect for me. What a great dress if you want to leave an impression of good taste and look up to date but age appropriate!

I loved this dress. I ordered the 6 and the 8, I wore the 8 because I have wider shoulders and it made it tight in the arms. Even choosing to wear the 8 it was not baggie in fit. The 6 also fit well through the hips but just restricted the movement of the arms.

Sexy and classy! This dress fit like like a glove, as it should. The lace is delicately traced in a subtle black threading that you cannot see unless you're right up next to it. The color is a rich wine, more on the red side than purple, I'd say. There is no "give in this fabric but you don't want this dress to be loose, it's made to be form fitting. One tip, if you carry extra weight in your arms or shoulders I would steer clear of this dress. I lift weights and do have some musculature there so I had slight difficulty raising my hands above my head to dance. The length on me was about 2 inches above the ankle and I am 5'4", I thought the length was perfect. I got complimented every time I turned around! All. Night. Long.

This wasn't my favorite dress I've rented so far, but was still very pretty for attending a winter wedding. I typically wear a size 6, but had to size up for an 8 in this and even then it was still snug (shout out to RTR customer service for getting me the extra size, especially over a crazy holiday weekend). I liked the detail in the lace overlay, the long sleeves, and the overall length, but think this dress just wasn't best suited for my body type (wide hips). It was tight across the middle, which caused the fabric to sort of bunch/pucker and the (already short) slip underneath to ride up. I wore opaque tights underneath, so it wasn't too much of an issue, but overall I think it would be much more flattering on someone with a slimmer build.

This dress was a great rental for a freezing cold NYE wedding. I was one of the few not in sparkles or black which made me definitely stand out. The dress is thick and the sleeves were just the right length for me. The dress his me just at the ankles, but I could still easily dance. My hips run a bit larger, so the dress was tight in the seat and I did have to pull it down throughout the night, but it fit well everywhere else. Definitely order up if you have hips! The 8 was my order up and my hips were tight. The dress came with a small tear on the right forearm, which I didn't notice until heading to the wedding and it was too late to do anything about so I wore it anyways. I doubt anyone really noticed.

Fit great! I was told to size up so I did and was happy I did. Dress is meant to hit low on the leg but since I'm so short I do think it was a tad too long but I didnt mind!

Loved this dress and received a ton of compliments. It was a great option for my northern fall wedding where it was indeed chilly but a gown would have been too formal. There was enough stretch to make sitting, standing, and dancing comfortable. A little loose in the midsection but loved the rich color. Would definitely recommend!

The dress is absolutely gorgeous. 100% rent it. It's sexy without being too revealing, which I loved. Also, I'm shorter and curvier than the model, for sure, and I was pleased by how flattering the lining was. I went a size up from my normal size, which I absolutely recommend if you have wider hips or a fuller bust. It's not particularly forgiving -- it isn't stiff, per se, but there's not a ton of give in the fabric -- so if your event requires you to be super active, definitely consider that. The lining was a little shorter than I expected. I got so many compliments!

I wore this for my family's Thanksgiving dinner. It was nice, but not the best dress I've rented from RTR. For some reason it just didn't feel quite nice or comfortable on my skin. However, it is still high quality and nice looking dress. It is a nice deep wine/burgundy color. Perfect for the fall.

This dress was prefect for an outdoor (and very snowy!) wedding. The lace sleeves were surprisingly warm and the color was perfect for fall or winter. This dress was actually my backup but I ended up liking it so much more than the original dress I wanted. I received so many compliments and felt like I was perfectly toeing the line between conservative and sexy! My ONLY issue with this dress was that the slip beneath the lace was pretty short (especially for my well-endowed hips) and I felt like I was tugging it down all night. I did wear spandex shorts to combat this issue which helped some. The sleeves were also a bit constricting at first (I actually had to have someone else fasten my shoes for me!) but that became more comfortable and increasingly less of an issue as the night went on. I would still say, despite these minor issues, it was a perfect dress for the occasion and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
