This dress was perfect. No hesitations about going bra-less, which is rare. The length was perfect with 4in platform heels. I'm very short, so I knew it was a risk. Formal military events can be difficult to dress for. This dress managed to be sexy, but because of its dark colors it was conservative enough to not look out of place.

This dress is very flattering. I am 5'8 with flat chest and 150 pounds. The long was not long enough for 3 inch heels. The dress did not touch the floor but I didn't mind because the dress was amazing. I would have worn the bigger size for comfort but the zipper did not work so I wore the size 8. It was tight but flattering. I recomend wearing biker short spanks if you can. I would order this dress again. I loved it.

I usually wear size 0 and size 2, but I fit into the 4R just right. I am glad I found this dress since it was the only dress available at the Georgetown Rent The Runway store close to my size. I felt AMAZINGLY beautiful and got compliments all night!!!. I didn't have to wear a bra and I didn't feel like the girls were going to come out at any time. I LOVED this dress and would wear it again! Do yourself a favor and order this dress. You will not regret it!

Rent this dress! I cannot recommend this dress more! I wore this to a formal dinner for a friends law school and it was perfect. I got so many compliments and it was a great mix of classy and sexy. I ordered it very last minute on a Monday, it came that Thursday for a Friday event. Dress was in great condition without a single wrinkle. It also didn't wrinkle at all even with sitting for a good portion of the night. Fit like a glove. I was worried about the length because I wash't wearing heels, but the long was just right for me. I usually wear a 4 or 6 and opted for the 6, for which I am glad. The bodice fit me perfectly, didn't need a bra. Overall a great and easy experience and I will absolutely rent again.

My dress arrived 10am the day of my event . The is very form fitting around the stomach area so if youre very self conscience about that then you may want to reconsider this dress. As the description says its best to size up if your have bigger hips/thighs. I wore the dress to my prom and i loved it . I got plenty of compliments and it fit like a glove. There was slight difficulty with the zipper on both of the dresses but it did not make it more difficult to wear the dress

This dress was very flattering and very comfortable. It was tight in all the right places and I didn't have to worry about a thing all night because the design of the dress didn't give you much to worry about. Would definitely recommend, it's just the right amount of sexy

The straps were a tiny bit too long but they stayed in place without tape. Might have been even better if I had bigger boobs! Overall sexy but comfortable and didn't have to wear crazy heels to make length work.

Ladies - please please, if you're over 5"5, get the long! It runs short and small, I'm usually a 0 or 2 in evening wear, but wore a 4 long. It's an amazing dress though, complements all night!! One more thing, the satin bottom doesn't have any padding and the top tight area adds to that mix, so be warned that every little portion of your body is shown without a control bottom (thigh/bottom support) Even the tiny girls should wear some kind of support. You'll love every minute in this dress!!!!

Definitely my most favorite dress that I've ever rented from here. What can't be really seen is that the skirt portion is actually a navy blue. I also had to occasionally adjust my boobs to avoid any peaking out too much from the cutouts. It was the perfect length and perfect fit.

It fit like a dream and was incredibly comfortable. Easy to move and dance in the dress. The only issue is that the fabric of the skirt shows every little ripple and bump on your body. It definitely required Spanx. Other than that, I couldn't have loved it more.

Beautiful dress. PROS: 1. You don't need a bra - It holds you in place and has a thick material for support with some stretch depending on your size. I am a C but my friend tried this on who is an A/B and it ft us both 2. It is true to size 3. The length is perfect for mid height heels. I took my shoes off for this photo for you to see the actual length. CONS: I have a thin body with a long torso... the way this dress is made with a thicker supportive top but softer material for the length- it hit me weird and made my stomach look like it had a little pooch. Because it is a dark color I was able to wear it -it might have been my body and not the dress because of my longer torso than most people my height. I am still giving this dress a 5 star because it is so pretty and so comfortable for a long dress. Try it.

Definitely not for women with bigger chests. I'm a 34B and wore the 6--I had no problems for the most part but the nu bra I was wear would occasionally peak out the bottom! Otherwise this dress was absolutely perfect and I felt amazing in it! I probably could have worn the 4R (I ordered it separately) but with the chest issue, the 6R was definitely the way to go for me!

I loved this dress. I felt so sexy yet elegant. It fit perfectly without a bra which I had never done before but it looked bad with a bra on . If I had the option to purchase it I would, that's how much I liked it. The length was perfect. I recommend this dress 200%. It was much nicer than the previous dress I rented for a wedding in June. I fell in love and I would rent it again.

The dress fit like a glove for me - I have a small waist and the top (which is not a stretchy fabric) sat perfectly so I didn't have to wear a bra or use any garment tape. The skirt was just long enough (I'm 5'5'') and didn't wrinkle at all. Fabric on the skirt part does cling to every bump, thank goodness for Spanx! Only con was that I reserved 2 dresses in my first order - 1 zipper was broken, 1 had a whole in the fabric at the bottom of the zipper. RTR customer service was great and overnighted me 2 more of the same dress - the 1 that I wore was missing a hook and eye closure at the top of the zipper so give this dress a good once over before you wear it for your event!

I loved the dress! I tried it on in stores and then ordered it and picked it up about a week later, and the straps did feel a little longer on the dress I picked up, so the bust hung a little lower than in the store. The dress looks much more black in person, and you can barely even tell its navy. That was a plus for me, I didnt even know the dress was navy until I saw it online, so if you love the navy aspect, this might not be for you. The fabric was a bit unforgiving in places, and showed my stomach lumps a little more than I would have liked. Since it wraps tight around the stomach, it was also nearly impossible to find underwear to wear with it. Overall, great dress tho!

My sister wore this for a New Year's Eve gala when her original choice was returned destroyed. Dress fit really well, but I do not have a lot of great full body shots of her in the dress! She is usually a size 2 - 4, the only problem she had was a little bit of cleavage popping out in the cutout.

I ordered both the 2R and 4R, both fit but the 4R was more flattering as the 2R pulled weirdly around the cutouts. I do wish I had gotten a long versus a regular because the regular was about an inch off the ground and I would preferred it to the floor. That was my only con though. It was comfortable, and easy to move/ sit/ dance in. The cut outs and navy in the bottom have a nice change to simple black. Also can easily be worn without a bra, but I chose stick in "cupcakes" to add a little something (you wouldn't be able to wear a normal bra without seeing it).

The dress was beautiful and the 8R fit well, the only issue I had was that because I'm 5'3 the cutouts felt more revealing than they look on a 5'10 model. The true reason I couldn't wear this dress was the zipper in the back. With the semi-stretchy fabric, the zipper would not sit flat. Instead it would bunch and move around like a snake in the back. I have an athletic build, with hips, and I filled out the stretch on the bottom and thus that is why I feel the zipper did not sit well on my body type. Fortunately RTR sent me Another dress overnight that arrived around 9:30am the day of and sat online with me to find a stretchy dress that would accommodate my body type and in the two sizes I needed :) awesome customer service!

I received this Cynthia Rowley along with a few others to try on at home after the Flatiron store didn't have the gowns I'd requested for my appointment. (Side note: RTR customer service and every single girl that works at the Flatiron store is AMAZING!! Thank you ladies!) I was renting for a charity gala, so the cutouts were a bit too much for the venue. Although it fit fairly well (you WILL need someone to zip you - I gave up 75% of the way there!), this dress is not intended for busty women. I have no doubt that this dress would look tasteful and classy on someone with a smaller chest, but unfortunately my bust size was not right for it.

This was a gorgeous, easy to wear dress, perfect for a black tie wedding. I typically always wear a size 6 but listened to the reviews and went with an 8 which fit perfectly. Didn't need a bra and felt totally comfortable all night - easy to dance in and a good mix of sexy and formal.

This was my first rental from RTR. I wore this to a black tie (optional) wedding and was very happy with it. I read the reviews which said this dress runs small, but a backup size of 6R was not available (I usually wear 4R). So I went with the 4R and took the risk of not having a backup size, but it fit perfectly. I was worried this might be too thick for a summer wedding but the material is actually very light and I didn't get too hot. I did not need to wear a bra which made dancing all the more comfortable! I wore wedges and the length was just right.

I wanted something edgy, sexy, classy...this dress was all of that! I ordered the 8L and 10R as a back up. Both would have worked but I went with the 8 because it hugged a little better and fit better in the bust...I'm an A cup and even the 8 had a tiny bit of extra room. I wore spanx to flatten everything since the bottom portion of the dress hugs closely to the body. I loved this dress! I received tons of compliments and felt beautiful.

Fit perfectly on me. It was a little tight in the ribs, but I have a broad rib cage. It was long enough for me and I had 4 in heels on. Super comfy for a fitted dress!

Had to tack the shoulder straps due to my short torso. Tight top so no bra needed but not a dress for bustier girls! I was afraid my little boobs would fall out. Perfect length for flats....definitely not for heels! The zipper did bubble a little but it wasn't bad.

I'm 5'2" but the R was perfect for 2-3 in heels. So, taller girls should definitely get the long. Loved the cut outs and blue/black colors. I have a bit of a butt, so spanx were a must, but this dress was really comfortable and fun to wear.

I usually am between a 4 and a 6 but I wore the 4. The material is stretchy on the bottom part, but the top part is not really stretchy. I'm not a busty person so the 4 was better for me but if I was bustier it wouldn't have fit. The size difference between the 4 and the 6 was minimal in the skirt but there was a big difference in the bust area, so if you're busty I would size up. The dress is super flattering and really shows off your curves. Totally want to rent this again.

Ideal for a pear or hourglass figure, but probably nice on anyone!

This dress was stunning! I wore the larger back up size which is 1 size up from my usual because it fit better on the bust area. The fabric around the bust is thick and supportive enough to not worry about wearing a bra and I didn't have the "underboob" issue that some people warned about. The long length was perfect for my height and allowed me to still wear heels. I got so many compliments on this dress and would love to rent it again!

I wore this to my brother's wedding in May. I wore it during a Catholic Mass and to the reception and it was appropriate for both. The cutouts felt appropriate even in church (they were my biggest concern!) The dress was the perfect length with my 3.5-4" heels, which was another concern since I'm only 5'1". I wore 2.5" heels for church and the dress was dragging a bit, but nothing that looked strange or I would trip over. The back made it difficult to wear a bra, so I just skipped the bra entirely since the fabric at the top was thick and my bust is small. I felt so elegant and thought the dress was extremely flattering for a petite figure. I'm so happy I took the risk because I received a ton of compliments. I would love to own this dress and definitely recommend for anyone on the fence. Thanks RTR for suggesting this dress!

Super cute loved everything about this dress!!

The dress is beautiful - this picture doesn't even look that great, but it looked very flattering on. BUT it runs small, particularly in the upper back/chest area since there's no real stretch or 'give.' I was glad the 8L ended up working, though I usually am a size 6. The L wasn't too long by any means with heels (3"). No bra needed, but wore some stick ons to keep everything held in.

I loved this dress! I ended up wearing the backup size because the dress runs a little small around the rib cage, but the 6L fit like a glove. I was worried about the length but I still ended up wearing 2 inch heels with it on my 5'11" frame. I could have gone with flats and the dress would have brushed the floor. I would highly recommend this dress - it's a show stopper!

The 4R fit me perfectly. The gown did not wrinkle at all and it was very comfortable and held up throughout a night of dancing :) I didn't need to wear a bra. Great for smaller busted women. I have a smaller upper body and larger hips/thighs and this dress didn't hug any unflattering areas, so it fits the athletic-body very well.

This dress is FANTASTIC! It fit like a glove and I have been complimented on it by many people attending the event, and people who have seen it in the picture! It is true to size, and possibly a little bit snug - but it is amazing! I wish I could buy it - a fantastic dress, especially for girls with a smaller bust and larger... butt... Lovely dress. I ordered both the 6R and the 8R, and wore the 8R because the 6 was a little tight. The bottom of the dress reached to about 1 inch off the floor while wearing heels. Overall it was flattering and I would definitely recommend it.

This dress made me feel sexy and beautiful! It is totally different from any other black dresses. I had to use the sticky bra because the regular one would show through the cut outs on the side. It was a bit long even with 3 inch heels. However, other than that, it fit beautifully!

I ordered a 4L and it was perfect length but wouldn't zip all the way and 6R and it was too short and too snug to zip all the way up. RTR sent me the 8L (to another state for the wedding, hoping it would get there in time and fit) and it arrived at 10am and fit beautifully.

I read that it runs a bit small, so I ordered one size up and it fit great! The only issue was the synthetic fabric of the skirt wasn't terribly breathable, but luckily we had a cool night for the wedding I went to. I got tons of compliments and I'd definitely recommend it!
