This was my backup dress so I did not end up wearing it but that does not mean I loved it any less! It was absolutely beautiful and had me wishing I had another event to wear it to. The dress was a bit tight around the rib cage and I'm usually a size 6 or 8. The 10 would have probably fit more comfortably especially when sitting down. Overall a gorgeous dress that will make you stand out in any crowd!

This dress is beautiful in person. Got tons of compliments and felt amazing in this dress. The fabric is thick and just heavy enough. The pockets were a plus. Was comfortable and was not falling down throughout the night. Wanted to keep this dress!

Fits snugly in the bodice which was great for dancing without worrying about it falling down. There is boning in the top as well. Plenty of room in the skirt so I didn't have to worry about eating too much, plus... POCKETS! I didn't have to carry a clutch or rely on my bf for holding anything. The black party is shimmery, and the colors are vibrant. I received tons of compliments, and I was happy it was comfortable. The length was mid-calf on me, with was great for the garden wedding.

Dress was stunning, got so many compliments! Didn't have any trouble with it slipping off. The top was a bit loose, so consider that when getting your size if you're smaller in the busy area. Perfect for prom, or any formal event really.

I absolutely LOVED this dress! I usually avoid strapless dresses because I don't want to be pulling them up all night, but this dress didn't have that problem at all! Beautiful color, beautiful pattern, beautiful dress!

Absolutely stunning dress. From the clean fit to the beautiful color. I received so many complements all evening and felt amazing wearing this beautiful thing! The pockets are a major plus as they replaced the need for a clutch. I am normally a 0 but wore my back up size 2 due to the upper fit. If you're a C or larger, I would recommend sizing up to be comfortable. So amazing, y'all...rent this one!

The fit was true to size. The 0 was a little tight but the 2 felt like I might lose my top if I moved too much. I received many compliments on the dress. The pockets were a lifesaver. I was the MC for an event and needed my phone and paper on me at all times to respond to updates to the program. I was able to hide it all away. The flare of the skirt stands out more in person than it does in the pictures. Loved it!

I got so many compliments on this dress, and it was a perfect "floor length" alternative for someone of my petite stature (4'11"). Also, pockets were a major pro and the dress held its shape fantastically. I wore it to a gala in May but it would also do lovely at a fall event. Lots of color without being too flashy!

I love this dress. The color was great. No need for spanx! I'm probably a 10/12 dress size but I have a smaller rib cage and a size 8 was the only option. I had no problem with it staying up all night. I would rent it again. I'm 5'7"

The dress runs true to size, I weigh 115 lbs and the 0 fit perfectly! I received so many compliments on the beautiful print and fit of the dress.

It fit perfectly. I loved the pockets! I was nervous the bust would slip down while dancing, but the ribbing really held it in place! I was nervous it’d be too long, but it hit right at my feet. I’m often a size 2, but opted for the 0 because I’m particularly small in the bust and waist and it fit perfectly and wasn’t tight anywhere. The fabric is heavy, but was the perfect choice for a November wedding!

This dress was definitely a statement piece! I selected it as my “backup” choice, but as soon as I took it out the box, I actually did not even open up the other dress! It runs true to size. A part of the dress was sharply poking me on the inside, but I put a piece of clothe there to prevent it. Other than that, it was perfect!

I was only offered a 2 or 8 for sizes but I'm usually a 4 or 6. This dress is true to size. The 8 was a little big. If the 6 had been available it would have fit better but I wore a padded bra to take up space. The fabric is stunning, the dress is well constructed and photos don't do it justice. It's beautiful, comfy and it has pockets! I am still getting compliments a week later.

As a New Yorker, I prefer black. But for my first RTR experience I thought I would do something different. I'm so glad I did! I adore this dress, and I received so many compliments. It was flattering and comfortable, and it made me feel like Audrey Hepburn.

This is a BEAUTIFUL dress. I recommend it to anyone. It's a little tight in the bust/ribcage area- I'm a 36DD and usually wear a size 10 but the size 10 wasn't available. The size 8 ended up still being perfect. I would suggest ordering your typical size- you can even size down a little if you want a tight fit in the bust. Overall 10/10. Side note: there was a slight rip in the side lining, I think this dress has been shown a lot of love.

I received SO MANY compliments. I typically wear a 6/8. Based on reviews I chose to go with an 8. The top was a little loose but I used dress tape to hold things in place. It was just fine for standing and singing. The colors are devastatingly rich and beautiful. I would wear it again in a heartbeat!

I rented this dress for a fancy wedding at Fenway Park in Boston, MA. In this photo, I am 24 weeks pregnant. Maternity cocktail dresses can be so expensive, so I thought RTR would be a better option. I rented in an 8, which is two sizes above my standard non-pregnant size of 4. The dress was tight around my bust, but I'm currently measuring a 34DD (normally I'm a 34C), so I think if your chest is proportionate to your size, the dress would fit just fine. It hid my bump so well, that many people didn't even know I was expecting! I got compliments all night long, and I felt really beautiful in it. The fabric is heavy, so it's best for cooler weather. The wedding was in November, so thick fabric was great for me. I would highly recommend this gorgeous dress!

I wore this gorgeous frock to a symphony gala. It stood out among the crowd of black and grey dresses. On my just-taller-than petite frame, the dress came down to my ankles, making it a bit more of a gown than I initially intended. I don't wear strapless dresses very often, so the zipper choreography took a little while to figure out, but I got there on my own (zip up halfway, hook it, then finish zipping). The thick fabric kept me cozy in the chilly auditorium. I felt like I kept needing to pull it up, but it was a snug enough fit that I was never in any danger of giving the orchestra more than they'd bargained for. ;) I've just lost 25 pounds, and fitting into this dress was a fun celebration of that achievement!

I rented this for my boyfriend's med school gala. It was a beautiful dress that was surprisingly light and bouncy. I didn't wear a bra due to the snug fit of the top and the thick material. I'm pretty petite so the dress fell right at my ankle. I got so many compliments and it was very nice to stand out amongst the black formal gowns.

I wore this to my friends debutante ball and felt like a princess all night! Very flattering and comfortable, I loved the pockets! The only thing was that the top was a little loose and I had to adjust it a couple times on the dance floor, but twirled the night away regardless!

I wore this to one of the ceremonies for my friend's Sikh wedding. It was absolutely beautiful with thick fabric and vibrant colors. It stood out even in a crowd of bejeweled saris. The only problem was that the zipper got stuck on the waist band and it was tough to fully zip, but once on was pretty comfortable. Got tons of compliments and felt like royalty in it.

Loved this dress! Very comfortable, unique, and beautifully colorful. I received many compliments on this dress and would even venture to buy it, if I could! The only problem was the bust area - I would have loved some double-sided tap to ensure my dress stayed in the proper place while dancing!

Dress was awesome. RTR not so much. They messed up the initial delivery. Then messed up the overnighting. Then refused to deliver it to me in NYC. I had to truck across manhattan in a leg brace to pick up on my own; barely making it to the store in time (they close at 7) and then barely making it to my 8pm event. Horrible customer service. 5 stars for the dress. 1 star RTR

The fit was true to size and I love the pockets. The fabric is thick so I was comfortable in the cold with a coat. The pattern is beautiful. I had such a fun time dancing at my friend's wedding in this dress!

This dress was stunning! I received so many compliments it was almost embarrassing lol. I couldn’t wear a bra with it but that’s okay. It fit a little tight but I was almost 8 weeks pregnant when I wore it. It hid the baby bloat too. The only reason why I’m not giving this 5 stars is because there were some loose strings and I could tell the dress was kinda worn. But no one seemed to notice that except for me looking close.

Really beautiful. Loved the pattern and the pockets. Very full skirt. I have a small chest and somewhat of an athletic build and the bodice of the dress was pretty snug. It wasn't uncomfortable but i think it would probably be tighter on someone with a larger bust.

Stunning dress, fit like a glove. I received so many compliments on this dress it was insane! The only issue I had was that there are underwires protruding from the fabric that stabbed me in the hips, I had to go to the restroom to stuff it with napkins so I wouldn't start bleeding. I didn't even care, totally worth it.

The dress runs small up top; the material is a thick, structured brocade- which looks very luxe- but has zero give. I am usually a zero, b-cup and the size 4 in this dress was uncomfortably tight in the chest. Rent it for sure, but size up!

I just loved this dress! I rented it for a family wedding in October which was perfect for that time of year. Fits true to size and was very comfortable. Length was good for me as I am only 5'2. The dress shimmers and the color is true to the pictures. I would definitely rent again! Thank you RTR!

I'm between an 8 and a 10, regular and petite depending on the brand, style and day of the week ;) I rented the 8 - no back-up size available so I can't comment on how a different size would fit. It was a little tight on top and through the ribcage, but I think a 10 would have been too big. What is great: beautiful color - the pictures don't do it justice, very rich jewel tones, skirt is big (in a good way) you don't need spanx (I wore them anyway) and I probably didn't need a bra. Even though the top felt a little tight, I wasn't pulling it up all night long. The skirt has pockets!! I also didn't wear hose since the skirt came to mid-calf (bonus!). It was comfortable, easy to sit in, fabric appropriate for a winter event, conservative enough for a military ball (I'm a LTC, as is my husband) but not matronly and even though there were 950 people at this ball I got tons of compliments from random people I didn't know (so no obligation to say anything) and there wasn't another dress that even resembled this one! ***Side note - customer service was fantastic, there was an issue with shipping due to the snowstorm on the East Coast but the dress made it!***

Almost too much volume for my petite frame and it skimmed the floor, but still worked. Perfect for a work gala.

I wore this to an outdoor wedding at the end of the summer. It was probably 75 degrees. Even though the fabric is thick, it wasn't hot because the skirt doesn't cling. The skirt keeps its shape and sits away from your legs, so it's actually more "ventilated" than you'd expect :) I got a ton of compliments- the color and fabric is unique and has a nice sheen to it. Since we were on the grass, I paired it with flat sandal with a yellow silk toe strap. Would love to rent it again!
