I wore this to a formal wedding in Asheville, NC in July. I was nervous about the weight of the material but the skirt billowed enough that I never felt too warm. In fact, I wasn't bothered by it at all! I only had fun. I am a dance floor girl and the skirt did not cause any issues. Every now and then I held the skirt but I didn't feel like I constantly needed to keep track of it. The rib cage was perfectly snug with my measurements.

Loved this gown. It was for a very special wedding. The dress is very heavy and would be better suited for late fall / winter time. Loved that it had pockets. Received so many compliments and you will too!

I rented this 2 years ago and I'm just getting around to reviewing it. This dress is EVERYTHING! People still talk about this dress and ask me about. Many have told me that it is the best dress I've ever worn. I attend numerous formal events each year for my husband's job, so I've worn lots of dresses over the years. I would not recommend this for a Spring or Summer event as the fabric is heavy, but it is PERFECT for cooler weather.

This dress fit pretty true to size but was kind of tight on the top. I only had to pull it up a little but other than that it stayed up quite well. The pockets were my favorite part! I got lots of compliments and it was a great dress!

LOVED this dress! I ended up not being able to wear heels because I broke my ankle a week prior but still felt beautiful and got loads of compliments.

I tried this dress on through a stylist appointment and fell in love, I almost bought it! Even though it looks heavy, it is not and the quilted pattern is so unique! This was the perfect conventional but still "me" dress for prom. The pockets were a huge plus and the top was snug on me so I didn't need to wear a bra and I did not need to pull it up once! With my shoes (3 inches, I think?) it ended at the perfect length, long enough to look good, but didn't get caught in the dirt. I would HIGHLY recommend this dress for any occasion, especially prom!

Wore this to an Alaskan summer wedding and received so many compliments! It was great for dancing and easy to throw an oversized coat over at the end of the evening.

Read a lot of reviews before and saw that it fit small so I’m glad I ordered a size up. Honestly probably could have ordered 2 sizes up but I think the tight fitting bodice prevented me from having to hike the dress up all night. Im very short (5’1) so this dress fit more like a full length than a high/low and I did have to tie it up in the back when I was dancing. But it was otherwise so beautiful, the material was thick but not overly heavy and it photographed so nice. I would 100% recommend this dress!

I received compliments all night! This dress was a thick (almost quilt) fabric that was very flattering. I’m short and small chested so it fit great up top but was a little long. Even with heels I was stepping on the back all night. Regardless I loved everything about this dress, especially the pockets.

I wore this dress to a wedding that encouraged guests to dress "Eleganza" -- so slightly over-the-top. It was the perfect amount of fun and classy. I read the reviews and made sure I ordered my normal size (4) and a larger size (6). The 6 fit perfectly but even the 6 around my bust to clip in the back did not have much wiggle room.

I had high hopes for this dress and it delivered beyond my wildest expectations. I've honestly never felt more beautiful than I did wearing this. I got tons of compliments and felt like a total princess! It's pretty snug on top but I found my regular size to have the best fit. I'm 5'3" and wore 3" heels and didn't have any major issues with the length though I did have to hold the skirt while dancing and taking the stairs to avoid tripping on the hem. The zipper was tricky so enlist help with it if you can (I was able to zip it up solo but it was a struggle!) The back of the dress has extra fabric, I wouldn't call it a train or a bustle but it's dramatic and amazing and one of the best parts of the whole thing. The pockets are a huge plus - they were deep enough to hold my phone with plenty of room left over and using them didn't mess with the lines of the dress at all. I wore this for a June black tie optional wedding and felt very comfortable, temperature-wise. It's a heavier fabric but the higher hem in front allows for some airflow. Honestly I can't say enough good things about this dress and hope to have an occasion to wear again soon!

Loved this dress! The reviews were spot on as it did run small, I usually wear an 8 and sized up to a 10. Petite was all that was available but since I'm only 5'3" the length was perfect with high heels. Material was comfortable and had a nice weight to it. It was in the high 60s- low 70s for the nighttime NY Labor Day wedding and I was never too hot.

I ordered this dress for a wedding in downtown chicago. The embroidery is to die for, the pockets are perfect for snacks, you don't have to suck anything in for photos and I didn't have to adjust the neckline at all. I felt so beautiful and thought wearing it on a 90degree day was not what I had in mind, sweat does not show! ... but you will sweat haha. Its a gorgeous heavy weight fabric. Regardless... do yourself a favor and rent this dress.

Glad I read the comments - the bodice is definitely tight. I typically wear a 4 but did end up wearing the 6. The print is beautiful, but darker than I anticipated from online photos. It's A LOT of fabric in the skirt. Being on the petite side, it was almost too much, but did feel very grand! I got a lot of compliments on the dress throughout the night and it was easy to dance it which was a huge plus. Since the fabric is thicker it worked well for a spring wedding, but I wouldn't suggest it for summer. I would definitely rent it again!

This fit perfectly - it took a second pair of hands to zip but zipped just fine and is tight enough to stay put. Gorgeous fabric but I just don’t love how full the skirt is.

This dress was the perfect hi-low pick for a very formal black tie wedding. I'm 5'2" but if I had been a bit taller it might have looked weird, I thought it looked perfect though on my frame. It was a bit tighter than I had anticipated around the chest area (& i'm pretty flat chested to begin with), so if you have big boobs you might need to size up. Other than that, I got so many compliments on this all night long!

I ordered two sizes - mine and one up - based on these reviews. The larger size didn't make it so they offered me an alternative dress (took the offer, didn't end up needing the other dress). The size 6R was perfect for me and is my usual hips size. My chest is usually a 4, and this top fit very well without a bra underneath, so I guess it runs a bit small but not too much. Had mid-size heels and the length was perfect - I'm 5'4" without heels. I will say, this is not a new dress, and the thick woven pattern was pulling in some places - I took one star off for that. The pockets were amazing and deep so actually useful. I wore a looooooong red wig with it and the colors were perfect together. I'd absolutely recommend you rent this dress for a formal wedding!

I loved this dress and the photo doesn't show how cool the "train" was. I'm still figuring out my dress size, but I usually wear a 4 in regular (?) sizing and the 6 was still too tight

This dress is amazing! Definitely a lot of fabric in the back, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. The only available options were regular for me so there was some dress trailing behind me on the ground. Otherwise I felt like a 10. Perfect for a black tie optional wedding!

I intended to wear this for a ballet fundraiser & can normally fit a 4R because I have a small waist but a large bra size (34D). Wish it would've worked out as it's beautiful, but wouldn't zip up all the way. Also this particular gown has loose boning in the bodice, so even if it fit perfectly it wouldn't have been comfy to wear to an event. :(

Stunning once it is on, however, runs VERY small and difficult to zipper. I usually wear a size 2 and wore the 4 but could have gone up to a 6.

This dress is gorgeous and so luxurious. Can't wait to wear it to an event someday! Runs small though so next time I will size up.

This was my first RTR experience & it was great! The dress did feel a little tight around the bust when sitting down, but I didn’t mind because it helped me feel more secure since it’s strapless. I could tell it was well-worn due to some stray threads & the tag was halfway torn off, but very minor & barely noticeable.

I absolutely LOVED wearing this dress and I got so many compliments! I wore this for a wedding during the winter season because it is a quilted material. I loved the hi-low detail and it was so elegant! Definitely one of my fave dresses I have worn! And I rented black beaded dangle earrings from RTR to pair with!!

This dress is comfortable and gorgeous! Was the perfect choice for our gala, I received so many compliments throughout the night. It is a heavy, quality dress so the top needs to be fitted. I always wear a 0 but luckily had the 2 as the back-up since the 0 was very tough to zip and I'm not even very busty!

Very little give in the top. My husband used pliers to pull the zipper up! Gorg though, so totally worth the corset-like experience.

The colors are so rich, and the pockets are clutch. If I were to rent again, I would try and get the 2P. While the 2R fit, it was a little long and didn't get the true high-low hemline effect, but either way it was a wonderful dress.

The material is thicker and I was worried as I was attending an outdoor event, however it ended up being cooler and the dress was perfect! I am smaller chested so I needed to wear stick on cups to help fill out the dress. I did love the pockets and I received many compliments about the dress!!

Normally, I would wear a 6, and the 8 was snug. Worried it would drag, but no issues with 3-inch heels. Compliments all night. First RTR order, and I'll rent again!

This dress was absolutely beautiful. The cute and shape was lovely. There is boning which is a little uncomfortable, but I did not need to wear a bra because it was held up so well. The fabric is a bit thicker, so I wouldn't recommend for an outside event.

I rented a similar dress to this in the spring of 2018 so I was ready for the waist to fit more snug. That dress and this dress were both so beautiful and jaw dropping! I was a bit nervous on this one because of the difference in length but it was perfect! I would highly recommend opting for your second size to be a size up - the material is thicker. I'm usually a size 6 or 8 and I opted for an 8R and 10R and wore the 10R. I'm a DD, around 167 lbs.

This dress was fun, pretty, and easy to move in. Got several compliments on it.
