Such a beautiful dress made from amazing fabric making it look and feel very expensive. Fit like a glove. Incredibly flattering while still appropriate. Got tons of compliments. Would love to own this!

I wore this dress to my friends wedding and I can't tell you how many compliments I got!! The black and white was dressy and perfectly flattering! I added a fun necklace of my own. The cut outs on the side were just enough to make it fun and somewhat trendy! As many others shared the dress is somewhat tight around the ribs but I did not find it uncomfortable! There was only a slight difference between the 6&8, the 8 being slightly loose in the chest and around the ribs. The pockets stick out a little but not bad, it's just not smooth like it would be if there were no pockets. But would doesn't love a good pocket to hold a hair thing and your lipstick!!! Way to go rtr I couldn't have been happier with my rental!!!

For reference, I am 5'4" and 115 lbs. The size 0 was a bit tight around my ribs, where the cutouts were ... so thank goodness for the size 2 back-up! It fit like a glove, and I was able to wear a strapless bra underneath. After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned about the length, but I thought it looked great. Received tons of compliments.

Really liked the fit and look of this dress. Loved the side slits in the bodice, gave it a little edge while still looking formal. You definitely can't wear a bra because of the slits. The length was great and I loved the pockets.

Obsessed w this dress! Very classic but the cut outs made it so fun & different! I got so many compliments at the wedding I attended. Fit true to size. Midi length was perfect on me- despite not being very tall. Would rent it again but with so many beautiful options on RTR, I have no reason to! :-)

I received compliments all night long. I would order a smaller size for the second dress. I am generally a 4 or 6, and I wore the 4 with plenty of room to spare. I was worried about it being too long because I generally like above the knee dresses, but it was perfect. Even has pockets!

The dress was great. The fabric is nice and thick. Did not need to wear a bra even though the top is white. Size 0 fit perfectly for me. Snug at the top. The length is a bit more below the knee that appears on the model. Did wrinkle a tiny bit when sitting down but came perfect out of my suitcase.

I was worried the length would be too long but I'm tall so the length was perfect. Great, expensive feeling material and the fit was like a glove.

This dress fit me perfectly. I wore the size 4 and it fit like a glove. I was able to wear a bra no problem, it didn't show through the slits at the side and it was a normal bra. I received a lot of compliments at the wedding, and felt like this was the perfect dress for a black-tie-optional wedding -- dressy but not overly formal. I'm 5'8", 28-inch waist and pretty much always a 4; this dress was no exception.

Great dress! I thought the dress code was black tie, but it ended up being cocktails. I was worried this dress would be too fancy, but it ended up being perfect. You can dress it down with simple hair, makeup and accessories, or can easily be dressed up for black tie. I got numerous compliments and felt great in the dress.

This was my backup for our rehearsal dinner. And I absolutely loved it. The fabric is gorgeous and the it is amazing. It is so flattering and elegant. The 10 would've been perfect but the 12 worked just fine. I want to own this dress!

I got tons of compliments while wearing this dress and felt like I stood out in a good way at a friend's wedding! The cut-outs are tasteful and color blocking was figure flattering (waistband hit me right at my narrowest point). The dress was super comfortable, as well. I would absolutely recommend this dress! Fit - A little snug around the rib-cage but generally true to size. If you have a few extra lbs around the mid-section, I'd recommend you choose a larger size as your back-up, purely because of the cut-outs. Length - More like a midi-length for shorter girls (I'm 5'5"). I bought temporary hem tape from RTR in case this was an issue, but decided the length looked ok with high-heels. Undergarments - As some have mentioned, it's tricky to find a bra that works with this dress. I wore a racer-back bra that worked and didn't show through the cut-outs. With that said, I considered going without a bra and think I would have been comfortable doing so in the size 6, which was fitted.

I like that the neckline and length made it conservative, yet the cutouts added a little something extra. It was comfortable and easy to dance in.

True to size

The bodice fit beautifully-- conformed to curves but not too snug. The skirt was a little long on me but looked fine with heels (which I usually can't wear but didn't have a lot of walking to do). The fabric of the skirt has a silky sheen and is fairly heavy but drapes and flows nicely. The black-and-white gave a very chic look, and the cutouts on the side showed just enough skin but were not so revealing as to be inappropriate or make me self-conscious at an event where people were pretty conservatively dressed. Got lots of compliments and people thought I was wearing Chanel:).

I live in SF, so nothing is super fancy, but also it's nice to look nice, and this dress fit the bill. It fit in at the symphony, a couple michelin star restaurants, and a women in tech conference to promote my startup (VINA.io).... so it can go fairly casual but also get dressed up for a nice event depending if you add a denim jacket fancy up with accessories and cute shoes. The fit is fantastic. Heads up though - because of the cutouts, you can't wear a bra. The fabric is really thick though, so you can go braless without a lot of notice. OH - AND IT HAS POCKETS!!

Love, love, love. Got so many comments that I looked "glamorous." The material is such good thick quality, the bottom black part almost feels like leather. What drew me to this dress is that I could wear a regular bra with it, but once I tried it on I had to switch to a smaller bra (one cup size smaller, ugh) so that the bra wouldn't show through the side cutouts. Oh, and it has POCKETS. What more could I say?

I wore this dress to a black tie birthday party at the Plaza. The dress was definitely nice enough for the event and felt fun and age appropriate because of the cute cut outs on the sides. Loved the dress!

Great dress. Very classy and formal. The cutouts made it subtly sexy. A regular bra shows through cutouts. I wore the dress without a bra and felt it had enough support and no show-through. The bodice is very fitted with an A-line skirt that was beyond my knees (5'7"). I received many compliments at the wedding including someone telling me I was "best dressed. " I would wear this dress again in a heartbeat. It was comfortable to dance all night.

I wore this dress to a formal work event. I wanted something that was conservative but flattering. This dress was very classy with simple clean lines and the side cutouts provided just the right amount of je ne sais quoi. A few notes: you will need a bra that does not show on sides, the dress travels very nicely (did not wrinkle despite being shoved into a packed suitcase), the dress hit mid-calf so it was a bit longer than i was expecting.

The size 2 was too big for me; the 0 fit perfect. It was a little longer than the model on me but it looked just fine with heels.

This was a replacement dress after there was a little shipping snafu with my original dress. It was fantastic. I believe I was the first one to wear the size 6 since it still had the tags on. The cut is forgiving enough so that you can eat, but there's no stretch in it, so get the correct size. The fabric is on the heavy side, so you don't have to worry about it wrinkling. The top can be a bit tricky if you have a smaller bust. I had to play around with different bras to see which worked the best. A strapless actually peeked out in the top cut out. And no bra gave me the deflated look. I eventually settled on a racerback style. If you're less than a B cup, I would consider a padded bra or another dress. Also, I'm 5'4" and the dress was mid calf for me. It was more like a midi dress, than knee length. If you're taller, you might have a different experience.

I ended up wearing the size 0 and never tried on the 2. The 0 fit well but I had quite a bit of room in it, especially in the top. It actually bunched up a little. If you're little up top, consider a good bra to fill it out. If you don't have that problem it will look great! I'm short, 5 feet, so I was worried about the length but I actually liked it with a higher heel. Liked the dress a lot!

The thick fabric was slightly hot but the comfortability and fit of the dress made up for it. The contrasting colors created a great waistline and really flattered my hips. Would highly recommend. The four fit perfectly.

I'm 5'10 and the dress length was perfect for my height, I didn't tug on it at all and was able to eat in it! I'm small busted, so I didn't need to wear a bra, I felt pretty secure. The only negative was the hanger straps - they kept popping out of the side slits. I would recommend purchasing some fabric tape to tape the straps up on the inside. Overall, very comfortable, classic dress.

It feels like a really simple dress but it turned a lot of heads. The slits on the side are subtle and tasteful but give the dress a lot of character. It felt totally appropriate for a black tie wedding. The cut is flattering and the fabric is thick and high quality. You absolutely cannot wear a bra but in the days of the sticky bra, that shouldn't pose a problem. I'm 5'8 and it hit below my knee. I'm a 34C and 135 lbs and the 6 fit well.

I have a small bust so the bodice of the dress ran a little large on me, the pockets were super useful and the length of the dress was great. The hanger ribbons popped out often. Felt pretty wearing it. Got lots of compliments!

The dress was beautiful. I usually wear a size 6 but got the size 4 because some ladies said it runs big. I would have worn the 4 but it was a little snug in my hips. The bust in the 4 fit perfectly. I wore the 6 to fit my hips but was a little loose on top. I suggest getting a smaller size for the extra dress instead of a bigger size. Received lots of compliments on the dress.

Loved this dress! It was a bit longer than I thought it would be and didn't quite have the "movement" that I imagined from the photo. However, I received a lot of compliments! The cut outs were a fun touch and very appropriate. And of course who doesn't love a dress with pockets!

I wore this for a Gala that was "black tie optional", and included work colleagues--it was the perfect choice! This dress stood out because it was classy and beautifully made, not because it shouted, "Look at me!" (Though I did get plenty of compliments!) The fit: I am 5'9", and an athletic 130, the size 2 fit like a glove! I wore simple jewelry and shoes, but you could really wear anything to fit the occasion. The fabric is thick, and required no ironing or steam, and never wrinkled through the night. Also, no special bra or crazy shape wear was needed! This dress made me feel great, and I would highly recommend it for numerous occasions!

I'm 5'7," 140 lbs, and wear a 34 DDD. I rented the 6 and 8, and ended up wearing the 6. I wore it for graduation and kept it on all night to celebrate! I received so many compliments and felt beautiful and comfortable. In my opinion, this dress was sexy and classy. I was also very impressed with the delivery, how nicely everything was packaged, and how easy it was to return!
