Black Sheer Popeover Dress by Cyntia Rowley is chic and classy! Fabric has no stretch and is very fitted. Skirt falls knee length. Would recommend a strapless bra since the collar is lace. Works best for bust sizes A-C. Would also recommend going up a size for more curvy or full bottoms to ensure comfort while wearing. This dress is a statement dress in itself. Great for any formal event day or night!

I loved this dress and I received compliments on it all evening. It worked perfectly for the occasion and the season. I was really sad when I had to send it back the next day. Like many previous reviews, the neck is very tight, but I just didn't clasp the top so it was pretty comfortable. The only downside to the dress is that the slip under the lace felt significantly smaller than the top layer and had no give. That made it somewhat uncomfortable, but not enough for me to notice all the time. I was still able to dance all night. Again, this dress is fantastic! Can't wait to rent more.

This dress was beautiful and captured my style elegantly. It fit snug in the waist for a 12 so if you have wide hips I would suggest sizing up. But the top fit fantastic for larger breasts 36D.

It was such a flattering fit, there isn't elasticity in the dress but it is pretty easy to move in. I got so many compliments for the dress! It got a little toasty when i was outside, but i was in Florida heat so it is always hot outside but not unbearable. Perfect dress! :)

I rented this dress for a cocktail / black-tie optional wedding. It was the perfect dress if you don't like gowns. It was beautiful, and the lace detail was lovely. It is lined with polyester, so I was sweating bullets in the dead-heat of July in NJ wearing all black! I'd definitely recommend this dress for cooler weather or indoor events. Highly recommend and would rent this one again.

The skirt has 3 layers. There is an outer lace layer of lace tatting. The middle layer is the tulle/lace layer. The innermost layer is solid. There isn't any bulk to the layers; it was easy to move. For me it pulled about 2" below the shoulder, so I was careful raising my arms on the dance floor, so I didn't damage the dress. The fit was true to size. I have a small rib cage with DDDD bust, but had room. I did wear a strapless bra due to the lace in the upper bodice. It had no bearing on the look, but the size 8 I wore has some tears in the lace middle lining.

This beautiful dress was unique yet classic. It was perfect for this sf wedding! It fit great. The only minor issue was that the zipper is very tough at the thick part of the back. The lace was just a lovey touch as we start to transition seasons. It is also conservative in just the right way with length and coverage. Highly recommend!

I love wearing black but I try not to bc I want to have style and be adventurous in fashion. The structure and lace on this dress make it more than simply a black dress!!! I felt amazing like I could take on the world in this dress. I want it in my closet forever!

This was my first dress rental experience. I wore this beautiful dress for my birthday dinner. It's a great dress, and it was perfect for the occasion. I ordered a size 8 and a size 10 as my back up size. The size 10 fit me well on top because I'm full busted, but it was too loose on the bottom, so I went with the size 8 to accentuate my body type. The dress was comfortable and flattering. It's made of great quality material, the lace detailing is intricate and beautiful, and the dress have a very unique romantic style. The issue with the dress is the zipper. Like other reviewers have noted the dress has a HORRIBLE zipper, and you will definitely need help to zip it up. Full disclosure - It was also awful unzipping the dress. Outside of that, the dress is great, and it was perfect for my occasion. I got many compliments, and love how my pictures turned out for my celebration. I will definitely rent from RTR again.

I tried a 4 and a 6, and ultimately had to go with the 6 because of hip room. My event was on a chilly April night, and I felt confident and comfortable (and warm) all night. There is so much detail to the dress that you need little jewelry. The zipper was very tricky just as all the other reviews indicated.

This dress is a show stopper, my favorite rented thus far on RTR! It is extremely well made, so unusual and worth every penny. The black lace ruffle around the shoulders was my favorite part, I was worried it would make me look dumpy in the chest area, but not at all. The see through lace at the shoulders looks delicate and elegant and awesome in photos. The length was a little long for my liking, but slimming. It was VERY tight on me, I almost couldn't squeeze into it with my mommy tummy flab and hips. I usually wear a 10 and probably should've gotten the 12 but it wasn't available so I made my hubs squeeze every ounce into the dress. There is a see-through lace belt portion at the middle I was afraid about, but you can't even tell it is see through. Some people complained about the sleeves rubbing their arms raw when they danced, I didn't think it was a big issue. I got endless compliments, will make you feel like a million bucks!

I originally rented the Elizabeth and James Bayli dress which I was so excited to wear but my backup size 6 wasn't available at the last minute and was encouraged to choose a free replacement. The 4 fitted just fine but because I'd be eating and didn't want no unflattering bulges I decided to wear the backup which was beyond beautiful and a great fit. Disaster was averted and I had a great day and felt so beautiful in this rental. I'd make no hesitation to rent this again.

I wore this to a wedding in Florence- it was prefect!! I am normally a 2 but this fit was very snug- I needed help getting in and out of the dress! It's very constricting and would not recommend it for high temperatures. I found this dress using a stylist and received a million compliments - was perfect for the occasion - the 4 was not avl but it would have been a better fit.

As previously described, runs a little small and the lace has no give, so I sized up. It was roomy but not swimming on me, very comfortable and could dance and sit easily. Felt amazing in it.

I received many compliments on this dress, as I do from all of my RTR dresses. The dress fit snug in the mid section and the arms. It left bruises on my arms. But, it was so beautiful and I got so many compliments that I didn't even notice that it pinched my arms. I would definitely rent again.

The dress is true to size but on the tight side. Size up for your back up. The lace around the neck left a mark but nothing that didn't go away overnight. Overall, the dress wasn't so tight I didn't have fun. The dress was a perfect length for me, but I have long legs. I could see how it may be too long for someone with shorter stature. All in all, great dress!

The dress was beautiful !!!! I received sooo many compliments. I selected the 4 and the 6 and ended up wearing the size 6. I honestly believe this dress would stand out in any setting. The only negative I have is that the zipper on the size 6 was difficult to pull up. The dress fit snug around my hips but it fit perfectly. Let's just say, I would not recommend "dropping it like its hot" in this dress. A must rent for the fashion forward.

This dress was just as pretty in real life as it was in the pictures! Only problem is it seemed small and had ZERO stretch. I ordered an 8 and a 10 and couldn't zip the 8 so ended up wearing the 10 with spanx. It was lovely and so flattering but I probably would have been more comfortable in the 12. I wore to a broadway show and night out for my birthday.

Fits true to size. I ordered a size 6 & 8 and ended up wearing the 6 for a more fitted look. Wore it with black strappy heels, black clutch and simple dangle earrings. Definitely, doesn't have much give in the material so I wouldn't recommend wearing to an event with a lot of dancing or moving around. Gorgeous dress with a lot of detail, will probably rent again in the future!

This was pretty tight around the bust, but fit comfortably around the waist and hips. I loved the length that came just below the knee and the detail around the waist that shows a little skin under the lace. Very classy with a little edge.

The dress was amazing! I rented it for an award ceremony held by my company. Upon reading prior reviews, I was a bit skeptical about the lace being too tight around the neck, but it wasn't too bad afterall. I'm 5'6" and 114 lbs with asian physique, small bust and the 0 fit perfect. The lace definitely made my dress stand out from the crowd of other lbds. Wore this to a wedding in Florida. Was perfect for the church, not too revealing. The lace at the top did not have a lot of give to it, so thankfully I got a backup size in a size up. I ended up wearing a 12, and I'm normally a 10. I recommend this one! Even more beautiful in person.

I ordered a size 2 and 4. Like others have stated, the zippers are tricky and the neck doesn't have stretch but I had no issue with that. The fabric is thick enough to not wear a bra and feel comfortable. The 2 fit but was a little snug for dancing. The 4 was a little loose around the middle but fit better over all for comfortable movement. I am tall but I loved the length. I could see it being too long for people's liking on shorter frames. However, it was a perfect tea length for me. It's a fun take on a LBD that stands out from the others. The lace is beautiful and the cutout in the midsection is just enough skin. I was with my whole family and didn't feel like it was too revealing at all. If you are thinking of renting this, I would say do it! It's even prettier in person. Absolutely loved this dress!

This dress is absolutely perfect. It fits true to size and will turn heads in any room. The only drawback is that it is hard to zip and unzip on your own without snagging the off the shoulder top, so zip alone at your own risk.

Definitely runs small! I usually wear a 4 and the 6 wouldn't zip over my rib cage. Luckily I rented a back up dress as well which was perfect!

This is a beautiful dress with some cutout detail at waist which is not too revealing. It does run small and the lace and zipper are showing it has been rented regularly. I got several compliments and it was appropriate for the black tie optional wedding and reception. I danced in it without difficulty!!

I'm 5'3 so slightly on the long end but perfect for the formal/gala occasion I was at. The neck is slightly tight and honestly even more annoying when you sit down because it pulls but I guess in a "good" way it forces you to sit up appropriately. Be careful not to snag the lace on things. The dress speaks for itself. Pair with matte black shoes I switched between pointed pumps and flats throughout the night (I was working) and both still made the dress look great. Doesn't need much jewelry either simple stud earrings and a watch or bracelet will be enough for sure. Such an easy dress to rock without having to do much else to your overall appearance.

I was really worried about the sizing on this dress, I ordered the 2 and 0, but could not get the zipper to work right on the 0 so wore the 2. I had a bit of room in the 2 but it was perfect since I was dancing, I think the 0 would have been uncomfortable. I'm 5'5 and the length looked fine on me. I highly recommend this dress it looks gorgeous on (pics don't do it justice) and is so fun to wear! I wish I could wear it again!

Sized up to a 12 so I would be comfortable even though the 10 fit too. Have a very patient person help you with the zipper.
