The top is pretty see through so I had to make sure the black lace stayed in place the whole night. This dress is my favorite rental so far. The compliments were endless. Perfect for my Mom's 60th birthday!

42R Fit like a glove, and Just the right length. I did not wear a bra at all and even got away without nipple coverings! If you've got a small bust, size 5, and some hips... werk it!!!!

This dress was perfect for the black tie wedding I attended. It was perfect length and fit perfectly in the waist. Through the chest & shoulders was a little loose on me and it was just slightly itchy. Not enough to really bother me though. The top is see through and the black sheer over that covers was a little loose so I would recommend pasties or double sided tape for the overlay. But over all I received compliment after compliment & would absolutely recommend this dress to EVERYONE!

I usually wear a 2R, and ended up in the 42R. The top is sheer, so I needed a sticky bra with the open back. The dress was perfect standing and dancing in. I only found the middle a little snug when sitting. If it had been a sit down event I would have needed a size up. But for dancing a Mardi Gras Ball it was perfect.

I was nervous about how the dress would fit after reading the reviews, but I am SO glad that it ended up fitting! This is the most beautiful gown that I have ever worn! I could not count the amount of compliments I received on it and the amount of people that wanted to know where I got it. The fit was exactly what I expected after reading the reviews. I am usually a size 4 or 6. I ordered a size 42 and size 44. I ended up wearing the 42, but could have probably worn the 44 as well. I would definitely suggest sizing up one or two sizes!! The shorter bottom part was very tight and short, but the sheer black fabric over it hid that. The top was completely see thru, so I suggest you wear something underneath and make sure that the black part stays in place. Despite this,I could not say enough about this dress- I really wanted to keep it!!

The under part is complete see through...wear pasties or a black cami (I did). Im 100 lbs 5'2 and the dress was tight. I love everything about this dress ....I wished I owned it!

These dress is extremely tight in all areas I was so glad that I was able to zip it up since I hadn't ordered a backup size. I wouldn't have had it any other way though, there is a little stretch so if I had ordered up a size it would have been too big and not flattering. The design part is see through but as long as the black covers it up it isn't a problem. I wore 3 inch heels and the dress didn't drag at all, it was the perfect length. I received so many compliments at my brothers wedding and everybody was asking where it was from.

This dress was absolutely beautiful. I usually wear a 6, as I am very wide hipped and am a 34DD, but the 44R did fit. I rented this for a formal wedding and I received so many compliments on it. As others mentioned the breast area is completely see through, so pasties are a must. The sneak slit was so fun and it was so classy. I am 5 4' and definitely needed heals and it was still a little long even with a heal. I honestly don't have enough great things to say about it.

This dress was absolutely gorgeous and I immediately added it to my hearts. I loved that it had the shorter layer underneath! It was beautiful, but would have been more comfortable in a size up. It fit pretty well everywhere except at my waist, where it was a little too tight so it made the top half sit in a way that made it too loose. One great thing about this dress is that it's already so fancy that minimal jewelry is even needed! I would absolutely rent this dress again in a size up.

I rented this dress for a rooftop wedding in NYC. I usually wear a size 8 but that size wasn't available so I went with a 10. It was just a tad big in the waist line and around the legs, which tells me it runs true to size. I wore a thick black belt to pull it in around the waist and that seemed to solve the problem. True, it may be a little bit skimpy to some, but being that it was an outdoor wedding after dark, it really didn't look it. The top is definitely see through! But I wore skin colored pasties and it worked out great! The dress was stunning. I never wanted to take it off! One of my favorites so far.

They didn't have my normal size when I rented the dress so I went up a size and I'm glad I did. It fit really well. Dress was so fun. I received so many compliments on this one. Just beware the top part underneath the black is completely see thru. You can't see anything through the black part but you need to be aware throughout the night that it doesn't move.

I rented this dress for my engagement photos. This dress was classy and sexy at the same time! This dress is a bit tight especially around the thigh area so make sure you get the right size! Overall I was very happy I got this dress!

Runs small! Beautiful dress though. There was damage to the one i reserved rips in the mesh! RTR was kind enough to refund 1/2 the cost since there was no time to send a replacement! I would order this again!

Loved this gown! It was gorgeous and I received so many compliments but the inside mini skirt part was super tight no stretch at all! My bum barely fit also my bust was squeezed in there (32DDD US/ 30F UK). Also because of Italian sizing, it is much different than US so plan accordingly and rent multiple sizes if you are unsure. I rented my true sizes and they were very small in Italian sizes RTR suggested.

There is no denying that this dress perfectly marries sophisticated and sexy. I loved every moment of the evening in this gown and found it easy to dance in. However the under dress fabric is stiff and very mini in length. When I received it there were a few (undetectable from the front) holes in the gold overlay. Also, the lining kept sneaking out from underneath. I was fine with the provocative bare chest lining, but the wedding was a young Los Angeles crowd celebrating at the Four Seasons in Santa Barbara. I would not have felt as comfortable wearing this to a non-LA or non-NYC wedding for fear of being disrespectful.

This dress is seriously so gorgeous. I wore it for prom and got so many compliments! However, the reason I took a star off is because the fit is kind of weird. I rented the 38R and the 40R. The 38R fit me perfectly in the top, but I couldn't get it over my butt (which isn't super big, if that tells you anything). The 40R was still tight there but I was able to make it work. The top part was loose on me though, not by a lot but if you looked closely you could see that it was a little too big. Also, like I said earlier, this dress may not be great if you have any kind of a butt. I barely do and it was extremely tight on me, it actually ripped in one place when I tried to sit down so you have to be very careful! Overall this is a beautiful dress, but it's very limited as far as what body types can wear it. (P.S. I'm 5'4.5", I wore 4 inch heels with this and it was just a tiny bit too long, but nothing too bad.)

I got so many compliments on this dress! at least 5 people actually stopped me to say how gorgeous it was. It's super flowy and fun to dance in. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars were that the top started to get a little itchy after a while, and was definitely see through. you couldn't tell as long as I was standing up straight, but when I was sitting/slouching the panels on the front gave in a little and I was worried about a nip slip. It ended up being fine though, and overall this dress was awesome!

The sheer black outer layer felt frumpy to me when it was straight down. So I used a thin belt to hold the opening a bit a show more of the gold layer. It was gorgeous and received compliments all night. I'm fairly straight in the hips, but I could see if you're curvy, the tightness around the hips and butt could be an issue.

This dress is beautifully made and so elegant. I wore the larger, back up size 46R. There is absolutely no stretch to the inner portion of the dress so sizing up is a good idea. The long, black portion of the dress that is floor length was very flowy and loose. This dress definitely runs small. I am normally a size 8 but the dress in a size 10 (46R) was still very snug against my bottom and waist and it was very short. The floor length portion of the dress made me feel comfortable in that I didn't feel self conscious about how short the inner dress was. I probably would have been more comfortable in another size up but it doesn't appear to be available in a size larger than 46R. The front area (waist up) of the inner dress is sheer but the outer black portions of the dress cover your chest so that nothing can be seen. I did wear pasties just in case the black portions shifed. Overall, this dress exceeded all my expectations in beauty and craftsmanship but it was not the most comfortable dress I have ever rented and it may been more comfortable in a larger size.

the inner dress was a bit difficult to get over my butt but was able to shimmy myself a bit to get it to fit! Was snug around the butt/thigh area but besides that the dress was amazing.

I got so many compliments in this dress, but my zipper busted halfway through the night. No one could really tell because my dress was still hooked, and it wasn't even that tight, I was just having issues getting the dress to zip and unzip even when it was off me and I think it finally gave up! It may have just been that particular dress though. Also be careful when adjusting the short part of dress, the fabric is very easy to rip. I'll get back to you when I find out if I have to pay for putting a small hole in that fabric or not. I would totally rent this dress again if I wasn't worried about having to pay the retail price for zipper/fabric tear.

I wanted to love it, but I didn't feel like it flattered my figure at all. I ended up wearing a belt to cinch the waist a bit as I felt like it was a lot of material. That also helped to keep the front open more so you could see the underneath sheath dress - which has ZERO stretch. I normally wear a size 4 (sometimes a 2) and this dress was tight-tight-tight. I could not get the size 40 on my body. The 42 fit, but it was snug. I also ended up doing a Kardashian style boob duct-taping as you can not wear any type of bra with it. Also... I'm 5'3" and even with 4 inch heels, the skirt was sweeping the floor and I had to be very careful not to step on it. A very unique dress, but I'd say it's best left to the tall, slim-hipped, statuesque ladies to wear.

The dress, in theory, is awesome. In reality, not so much. The fit is weird and way too small-- especially if you have hips at all. The black layer is wayyy too long, even with heels, and the dress underneath was barely long enough. The material doesn't have much give, and it's a little scratchy. Be aware that the dress is completely sheer, so plan accordingly with pasties!

I received endless amounts of compliments-I loved this dress. It does run small but it is absolutely gorgeous. I would typically wear a size 4L(40L) but the 6R(42R) fit like a glove. This dress was definitely a showstopper and I would highly recommend.

Surprisingly comfortable except the gold lace was a little itchy. Black fabric was very soft and flows beautifully when you walk!

If you want to make a statement at a black tie wedding, this is the dress. It fit me like a glove but I'd say it runs small because it's pretty tight around the hips. I think I could have gone up a size and still had a nice fit. The white part is see through, but I wore silicon covers and you couldn't see a thing!

I ordered the wrong size, but I will definitely be ordering the correct one. This dress is to die for! But you either have to wear pasties, or one of the sticky bras.

I really wanted to wear this dress, as I fell in love with it immediately when I saw it on the RTR website. I ordered it for a black tie wedding. The dress is VERY fitted with pretty much no wiggle room, so definitely size up as your back-up. I have an average size hips/butt and I had a hard time squeezing into it in my normal size - curvier ladies may want to go up 2 sizes as your back-up. Once on, it really disappointed me. I think this dress probably looks best on slender, straight, and/or narrow body types as opposed to busty or curvy body types. It didn't look bad by any means, but also did not flatter me at all and actually ended up making me look bigger overall because it made my body look kind of square. It's also a little long even in the regular size, so petite girls beware. (I'm 5'3", I tried it with 4" heels, and it was still dragging on the ground.) Disappointed it didn't look good on me, but I'm sure it's a beautiful dress for other body types.

The dress looked so amazing on the model I had to have it for a wonderful party on Christmas Eve, unfortunately due to the holidays I didn't get this dress until the afternoon of the event. I was overjoyed to get it but after trying it on, I was so sad! The black bottom part of the dress is frumpy and covered more than I expected. There is no stretch in the short gold dress. The dress is so stiff. It's for a longer torso, this dress was too long on me and make sure to wear pasties because it is sheer in the boob area. It covered up too much of my body. Wish it looked as good on me as it did on the model, definitely not for a short person like me.

I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs. I have an athletic body type, with a healthy butt. I rented my usual size 4, and the 6 was sold out so I could only try one size. I couldn't get it over my butt, so I didn't get to wear it. If you have a bigger bottom be sure to rent a size bigger than usual.

Beautiful dress but it shows a lot of skin. The top does not have a liner so you can see right through it. I didn't realize this when I ordered it. The underneath is also very short. It is a beautiful dress but very skimpy

So, I saw this dress and had to have it. I read the reviews and decided to order another dress, just in case this one didn't fit. Thank god I did because this dress runs VERY small and is not made for anyone with hips or a butt. I am 5'5, small chest but I have hips and a butt and could not even get this dress on. So if you do not have a straight and narrow figure, this dress probably isn't your best bet.

I absolutely loved this dress in theory, but was nervous as it is much more revealing than my normal style. Thought I would give it a try! Unfortunately, the fabric feels more like curtains than a fancy gown, and after 20 minutes in it getting ready I was so itchy I decided to go with a different dress. Additionally, the cut of the back puckered at the waist seam, so it looked baggy and unflattering. As previous reviews have stated, it is smaller, especially in the hips, but my primary concern was how I felt in the gown, which was less than stellar.

I have a pretty good hourglass figure. I am a size 8 but I looked a lot larger on my bottom half in this dress. Love the too but the bottom wasn't great. Probably would have gone up a size and maybe it would have fallen better.

This was my top choice out three dresses but did not fit me on the hips.
