RTR was sold out of this dress in a 6, so I took a chance and squeezed into a 4. Definitely runs small, and it was pretty tight on my lower half with no give in the fabric. I still had a great time--in spite of not being able to take large strides! Would definitely rent it again.

I wore this to a wedding. The color is beautiful!! Even prettier in person. Only caution is I have a smaller chest and wondered how anyone more blessed on top would fit in it. It's tight up there! Like other reviewers mentioned, there's no give in the fabric. It otherwise fit like a glove and I am continuing to receive compliments on it days after the event.

Dress do run small, I wear size 0 or 2 but even the size 2 was still tight for me.

What a fantastic dress. The fit was great for my body. Renter beware, the top is definitely a smaller fit than the bottom. I have a small chest and the size 6 was tight up top. However the bottom is pretty true to size. I should have tried on the 4 so I could let readers know if it made a difference for the chest by going up in size. The dress was perfect for the occasion. It is a beautiful shade of green. I used double-sided tape for the top of the dress to hold it in place since it is low-cut. I usually wear a 6 or an 8 in dresses depending on the cut. I have wide hips so it just depends on the fit.

Felt a little tight in the chest area, so if need be, size up. Otherwise, fit perfectly!

I ordered this dress for an evening wedding - I really liked the deep green color and thought the design was different, but still classy. I will agree with the other reviews about the top being a little tight-fitting. Unfortunately, that wasn't a problem for me...my only complaint about the dress was that the slip underneath was a little longer than the dress in the front (seemed like maybe a seam came loose or something). I ended up having to pin the slip underneath to itself so it wasn't visible. Overall, loved the dress!

I absolutely LOVED this dress from the time I pulled it out of the box. Quality fabric, but it does not give at all. The 8 was taken the weekend I needed the dress so I went for the 6 just in case and i could zip it up as in pictures but it was very tight. This is a great dress but does not look good on all body types. My best girlfriend who is a 4/6 tried this on and while it wasn't as snug on her, the dress did nothing for her longer and slender torso and smaller bust. My other best friend who is similar to me but with a larger chest it also did not quite fit right. I would recommend this for women with shorter waists and a bust between a B and 'small' D cup. Also - size 1 up more than you think, the 8 would have been perfect. All in all gorgeous color, but not for every body type.

Overall the dress is chic and stunning. Fit: tight in the hips and behind! It's obvious others had the same issue as the seam at the back zipper was ripped open several inches- I had to hand stitch it before able to wear the dress (both the 4 and the 6 had the same issue with the open seam). Chest was tight but not uncomfortable. Tons of compliments very chic. If you ever struggle with a dress being tight in the hips I would advise a different dress as there is NO stretch- sizing up to comfort could make the top too loose if you are hippy like me :) (my larger backup was still very tight in hips- hard to bend or sit)

I usually wear a 2. Both the 2 and 4 fit but I liked how the 2 was more snug. It shows cleavage, but not too much. The fit is perfect, I want to own this dress! Both dresses went in the best condition, the lining was falling out and they looked like they had been ironed a few too many times but nobody could tell at a party.

I tried on a 4 and a 6 while standing , and they both fit. However, I needed the 6 to sit down. The narrow silhouette was flattering, but it did make it harder to dance. If I get another dress from this designer, it will be for a cocktail party or formal dinner without much movement involved.

This dress was beautiful with unique cuts and accents. There is zero stretch to this fabric and I'm glad I ordered the backup size as I needed help with the zipper on the larger size 8! This dress is elegant, sexy and more conservative than some due to the longer length. Being 6' tall, sometimes length is an issue. This dress made me feel stunning into the late hours in Vegas! Love this cut, but perhaps may be made for a shorter torso. Gorgeous!!!!

It was great for a cold weather wedding! Kept me warm and comfortable all evening. Love the shoulder detail. So unique I definitely stood out in the best way! It is body hugging and the thick fabric doesn't really give so I had to size up. THANK YOU RTR for offering the multiple size options!

I loved the look of this dress for an early evening wedding. It was also church appropriate too. Great, unique color and nice fabric. I go between size 0 and 2 for dresses. The 2 fit great, but there is a chance the 0 would have fit even better but it wasn't available. Wore it with gold strappy heels and long gold earrings. It worked!

This dress fit like a glove on my hourglass figure. SO flattering. The fabric is gorgeous. The tailoring is impeccable. It looks expensive. A word of caution: it is very hard to find a bra for it given the combo of it being low cut in front and having cutouts where bra straps would go. I am saggy and busty so going bra less was not an option. I found a plunge-like strapless bra that worked perfectly.

The dress was beautiful, but it was the wrong size. While I received many compliments on the color and unique cut-outs, the shoulders kept slipping down. I wore it with a strapless bra, so that no straps would be peeking out. Overall it was a great rental and had my true size been available, it would have been a perfect 10. Thanks RTR!

this dress is beautiful ~ however the top was tight and the hips were not. I am not huge chested so was surprised the top fit that way. I would have preferred a size 4 in the hips and 6 top. Color is gorgeous!!

Otherwise it's a really beautiful dress, great emerald color, quality fabric. Just size up and size up again :)

You will definitely need Hollywood Fashion tape to keep up the 2nd shoulder strap. It was perfect for the wedding I attended and was happy with my selection!

I am usually between a size 6 and 8. The 6 was too small. The 8 fit, but the hem had fallen out. Luckily the awesome stylists at RTR overnight-ed me 2 other options! If I would have worn the 8, I could have used some fashion tape to hold the straps in place as I have a smaller back and the outside straps sat wide on my shoulders. I did love the color and it looked beautiful with the accessories I rented: Zebra Tonda Pony Clutch (Diana Von Furstenberg); Silver Wave Bangles (Chamak By Priya Kakkar) and the Silver Southern Plantations Earrings (Nicole Miller Accessories).

The dress was beautiful. It looks exactly like the pictures...the perfect shade of deep emerald. Unfortunately, the dresses I received did not fit. I normally wear a size 2, but let's be honest... i'm on the verge of a 4. I researched the size chart and customer reviews, thinking that I would be safe if i ordered a size 2 and a size 4. If you read the fine print it tells you that those (of us) with wider hips will probably want to size up, as the waist through thigh area is very fitted. My size two was so big it was literally falling off. I wasn't able to get a size 0 in time (although i honestly don't believe that would fit very well either) for my event, so i'm going to try another designer. I have 2 days until my event. WIsh me luck!

The dress itself is beautiful. However, the straps kept sliding down as a result of the slit in the strap. I think this dress is better suited for someone with a longer torso so you can pull it down further to make the straps stay up, if that makes sense.

I received this because my back up size was not available for another rental. Its a beautiful dress. The material is beautiful and had I been actually able to get it on, I bet it would like nice as well; however, it was very small. I suggest a size larger than your normal size. I don't think it was ever worn before. It was in perfect condition.

This dress runs big. When reading through reviews I was unsure what size to get but for sure I could've probably fit a 0 and I wear a size 4. If your tall with a nice shape this dress is for you. With my height n shape this dress wasn't meant for me. Very restricted in the bust area as well as hip

The dress was a beautiful material - a little thick. Unfortunately, it runs large around the hips and the top. Perhaps it would work better for a curvier girl.

I ordered this as a back up to another dress. Thankfully the other dress worked out perfectly because this dress ran large on top, and the fit was less than flattering. Beautiful color, though.
