I wore this dress for my 40th birthday dinner party. It was just perfect! True to size. I wished if I could keep it lol. Received lots of compliments and it made my day! perfectly paired with my loubotin shoes

I was a bit nervous about this dress because I'm not used to wearing a higher neckline in a short-sleeved dress and thought the waisted pleats might be unflattering, but it has nice defined lines and creates an elegant silhouette (note, the photo I'm posting isn't the best, but the belly really does lie flat). This is perfect for an hourglass figure and I imagine it could give some more curves to someone with a straighter build or pear shape. I think the skirt might not be flattering if you have more of an apple shape because of those belly pleats. The fabric was great for my spring bridal shower, but would work equally well in a cooler season and, in fact, I plan to rent it again for a fall wedding. The colors are vibrant and I got lots of compliments - including lots from my fiancé who did not initially think he would like the dress based on the review photos.

The colors and pockets make this a super comfortable dress to wear. It was a little but ling on me, but probably just the right length on anyone 5'6" or above.

I got both the 4 and 6, both zipped up. But if you want more movement, the bottom is somewhat tight and there's no stretch to fabric, size up! Classic look for NYE, wore a vintage mink jacket with it. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fun vintage vibe dress. The fabric is gorgeous in person.

Arms aren't tight like a lot of tailored sleeves. Fits close to the rib cage but doesn't hug the thighs so you can move freely.

This dress fit well and I received several compliments. The slit on the back doesn't go up very high, so I did feel a teensy bit restricted for dancing, but not enough that I still wouldn't recommend this gorgeous dress!

This dress was beautiful. The colors and fabric were perfect for a winter wedding we attended. The fabric/fit does not have much give to it so I'd size up if you're on the fence with a size. It could be a bit difficult to sit for the same reason, but not enough to take away from overall love for the dress!!

This dress is so flattering. The 4 and 6 both fit, but i decided to wear the 6 due to a week of Thansgiving related overeating. The one challenge is that the dress has no stretch, and a small slit, so getting in and out of the Uber SUV wasn't easy. I wore this to an event with my in-laws. Very appropriate yet still a little sexy with the great tailoring. Thick, high-quality fabric that works in cooler weather.

This dress was perfect for a double wedding weekend....with a two hour car ride in between the weddings. The fit was a little snug through the chest, but I didn't have the arm issue that other reviewers did. The pockets were clutch, as well. This was the best RTR dress I have rented thus far. I received so many compliments, beginning and ending with my husband, who couldn't stop staring all night.

I rented this dress for a big work event. I fluctuate between a 4 and 6, so when the backup size of 6 wasn't available, I was a little nervous about only getting the 4. It fit perfectly!! I felt confident and received so many compliments on it. It really is a great dress to rent.

Beautiful and tailored to be so flattering but definitely sized for an hour glass figure. On the plus side: your waist is gonna look tiny. On the downside: if you have big thighs, sitting is gonna be weird/uncomfortable. Standing and dancing was fine though, so if you're one to spend the evening on the dance floor, go for it!

Great dress! I wore it to a weddings. It fits beautifully and I got tons of compliments. If you tend to be between sizes, go with the larger size - the fabric doesn't make it an easy dress to move around in, so helpful to have a little more room if you want to dance.

This dress is very classy, but the cut of the shoulders skirt are just different enough to make it interesting. The pockets are also a plus. The color is a very rich merlot in person and is super pretty.

This is a standout dress. The material and design are exquisite, and the quality outstanding. I wore a size 2. I didn't even try on my back up size 4 dress. It was a little difficult to get in and out of cars, but the dress was very flattering. I didn't want to take it off at the end of the evening.

This was my backup dress, but it was really lovely. I got lots of compliments and was even asked if the dress was custom. I was a little nervous about the cap sleeves as I'm a swimmer and usually have a tough time with call sleeves but this dress fit great. It would have been tough to raise my arms, but that wasn't necessary. I also have a long torso and the waist was actually close to my true waist, unlike many dresses I've tried. The fabric is very pretty, but there is no give so I'd say size up if you are between sizes. Overall great!

The fabric of this dress is gorgeous and I received lots of compliments on it. It does run a bit smug in the waist, so you might want to size up. The cap sleeves are really flattering, as is the length. I will rent this one again.

I've learned this brand runs small. Normally a 16 I went up to the 20. This was the 2nd time I ordered this dress in a different color. I love it. Can be for work or a more formal event.

This dress is beautiful! I typically wear a 2/4 and ordered the 4 in this dress size. However, I could have really gone down a size. I got a ton of compliments at a work conference. Plus, this dress has pockets! Who doesn't love that. No complaints on this one.

I am 5'9", 205 lbs, and ordered the 16 with the 18 as a backup. The 16 fit perfectly, although the bust area could have accommodated more than my B cup. Not baggy enough in the chest to stop me from wearing it. I felt amazing and stood out from all the other ladies wearing LBDs. It's classy, fun, and appropriate for all cocktail type events!

This dress is perfection! It's conservative enough to wear to work, pretty enough to make you feel special, and it has pockets. Everything about this dress is classic and amazing. I'm a little thicker in the back, which made the cap sleeves a little uncomfortable, but not so much that would make me think twice about wearing it. The fit everywhere else was just right. Will definitely rent again :)

The dress definitely runs small. I ordered my normal size and then got the next size up as a backup and ended up wearing the larger size. It fits a little tight through the middle and sleeves. The pockets are great though! Overall, loved this dress!!

The 6 was a little tight in the rib cage and hips when you sit down. The 8 gave you room to eat and dance without feeling like you had to wear spanks or keep pulling the dress down. The cranberry and blue colors in the jacquard fabric were really an eye-catcher.

I usually wear a 6. This was a 6. Pockets were great. Some folks said tight on top. I didn't think so. But I don't have broad shoulders or a large bust. I'm 5'3" and 125 lbs.

Fit was as expected. I usually wear a 0 or a 2. The sleeves are a little fitted so be warned it's hard to reach for stuff ... but not really a problem. I paired it with a Kate Spade necklace also from RTR.

Fit perfect. In usually wear a 6 and this fit like a glove. So it does run small. I wore this to an awards ceremony that had a retro "mad Men" theme. Modern colors and classic shape made this perfect for me. It's a stand out of the crowd dress so get ready for the compliments. Bonus! So comfortable too!

Gorgeous dress! Beautiful blend of red and blue. My only issue was with the bottom of the dress-- it's tighter fitting with no give, so I had to shorten my stride.

RTR customer service is fantastic. The dress I had reserved was returned damaged so I got an email at the last minute asking me to select a new one. Unfortunately I was out of the country so I was unable to select a new one but they sent this dress and another to choose from. I LOVED this dress. The shape is classic and flattering and the color is jawdropping. It was absolutely perfect for a fall wedding!! Thanks RTR!

I'm a huge fan of this Carmen Marc Valvo dress and I rent it in every print. These colors are rich and elegant, perfect for fall. Every size 2 dress runs tight at the very top of the zipper so I usually leave it unzipped a few inches at the top (my hair covers it so co-workers can't tell). Highly recommend!

It fit like it had been tailored. It is not as shiny as Rent....way pic, no Asian feel. Looks amazingly beautiful. Look is more true to the pic I uploaded than online.

True to size. Flattering. Not any stretch/give so size up if you want more room though
