Little snug on the chest but not restrictive. No need for any spanx type undergarments due to excellent cut and quality. This dress is clearly loved and it was showing as it was looking worn. Maybe a handful of rentals left before it is unacceptable.

Another RTR success! At 5'6" glad I went with the long so I could rock some 4" heels. Lots of compliments and very comfortable.

All the wedding party had to wear silver. No need to buy, just Rent!!! I ordered a 10 but sent it back for an 8 so it must run big. Needed some help with the zipper, but once in it was very comfortable. I felt beautiful in it. Such nice quality.

The dress is true to size. It was perfect for my work gala event. Everyone kept commenting on how lovely the dress was.

The fit was perfect! I was worried about the top fitting as I'm a 36DDD. I actually went into the San Francisco RTR at Nieman Marcus to try on the dress before the event to make sure it fit. The staff at RTR were extremely nice and helpful. Back to the dress and the event- Ladies Be prepared to get it cleaned and pressed. When I received the dress it was very wrinkled and had a weird odor. Once had it cleaned and pressed - I put it on and was quite impressed. No problems in the bust area (I wore a regular bra - just tucked the bare shoulder bra strap under my bra. The length was great. It has a small train in the back - adding to the drama and elegance. I'm 5'4" and wore two inch heels. Finally, ladies be prepare to receive compliments all evening and say "Yes" to this Dress!!

Pictures don't do justice to this elegant and extremely beautiful dress! I chose it for a black tie affair and it definitely stands out. The fit for me was a bit large on top so i had to use some fashion tape to prevent it from gapping. The size 4 would of been perfect on top but it didn't fit my hips well. I chose the long and it was right to the floor with 4inch heels. This dress is light and comfortable to wear, it moves with you and it hits in all the right spots to highlight the figure hiding any imperfections. Would highly recommend it!

I loved this design! But I was a little disappointed because I read the reviews on how this was perfect for curvy girls like myself. I'm a little hippy so I thought it would have more room at the bottom, but it didn't. so I had to size up to a 14R. I normally wear between an 10/12 depending on the designer of course. But after I sized up it was perfect at the bottom! A little big at the top but nothing a few safety pins couldn't handle. I got tons of compliments and would definitely get this one again.

Despite NO time to actually "get ready" for this event, this gown made me feel like a star! I got Compliments all evening and for days after! Truly a show stopper! I did notice part way through the night that there was a separation at one of seams on the back of the dress (near my knees) which was disapointing but I doubt anyone saw. I'm 5'4 and 120 pounds for reference. It was snug across my (very full) hips/butt, not uncomfortable and did not prevente from moving/sitting. I was very happy with the way it fit because in some review photos it looked sloppy, and it was anything but sloppy on me.

Wanted for formal Chrismas party. It seems most go for LBDs for formal affairs. This is a standout in a sea of black. I ordered a size or so bigger than normal. Glad I did. It fit well...but, confortable. I was concerned it may make me look bulky with so much dress. But, I think it was perfect!

I got soooo many compliments!! The fit was a bit loose around my stomach. There is a lot of material so I think if you tend to carry your weight in your tummy you might reconsider this dress, I just sucked it in all night!

It runs true to size. I'm 5'3" and 125 pounds, I had 5 in heels on, and the regular still brushed the floor. I had to steam the dress because the bottom hem was wrinkled, so you may need to do that before wearing. Looks so much better than just out of the box! Once on, it was a stunning dress! Received compliments all night!!

The overall fit was great, except it ran smaller than what I typically wear. It was a little tight around the hip area, but it was flattering for my hourglass shape. It fit well on the shoulder and was the perfect length with a 3"heel.

I ordered a back-up dress, different designer, also size 6. That fit like a glove and was amazing and I'm glad I did so. If this dress had fit, it would have been a tough decision on what to wear because this gown is amazing. The material, the flow.... having said that - the 6 was HUGE!

I was one of four event chairs for a charity gala which required me to get on stage and speak in front of 600 people, so I needed something glamorous. This dress did not disappoint! I received so many compliments and loved how it looked on me. The color is a gorgeous champagne color and the fit was amazing and hugged all the right curves. I'm definitely sad to have to send it back!

Absolutely gorgeous dress, wore it to a gala. A 2L was very true to size. At 5'8" the dress was a little long in heels but better than too short!

This Carmen Marc Valvo gown sets off such a “goddess-y” feel and is perfect for any formal affair. Running true to size, we recommend sizing up for backup. With no stretch in the fabric and a tighter fit in the bust, this piece is better for smaller cup sizes. If you’re curvier, especially in the hips, you may want to consider sizing up for your primary size. Something I love about this gown is the accentuated mermaid style with rouching detail throughout the body. Pair with sleek jewelry and silver heels and all eyes will be on you!

Overall, I loved this dress! A stranger told me I looked like a Greek goddess. It's tighter in the thighs than in the bust. So I was slightly squeezed at the bottom and loose on top. Only slightly. But my second size was too big all around. The reason for not giving it the full amount of stars is because my particular dress was showing visible signs of wear. Lots of threads sticking out. Some I ignored, some I had to cut off. It also smelled a bit musty and I had to let it air out for a day. But for the most part, I enjoyed my time with the dress.

This dress definitely has wow factor. Lots of compliments thrown my way. The dress was comfortable and surprisingly easy to move around in. The only issue I had was that the inner lining was a little torn at the bottom, and at one point my heel got stuck in a rip and almost tripped me. Fit was pretty good, but all of the detailing can make you look a little paunchy around the middle. If you don't mind that, I say it's a solid yes.

This was a great dress, but it ran really short. I'm 5'5" and the hem was not touching the floor even in flats. Order the Long size if you are my height or taller!

I liked this dress-- it worked perfectly for the event I attended. The cut is forgiving, so I was not concerned about needing shapewear. I did find that it ran a little small, as I sized up and the fit was still snug. The length was a tad short in the front, but not enough to be a big deal.

Wore this to hubby's promotion gala at the Met. Everyone loved it, and I looked and felt like a million bucks. The hem was ripped though! Nearly perfect dress.

Overall this was a beautiful dress. The picture with the model makes the dress appear silver but in real life it leans towards a metallic bronze/silver which turned out to be hard to match to my husband’s bow tie! I wore the 2P which was true to size to slightly larger. I was wearing 3.5in heels and the end of the dress still brushed the ground to the point where people were stepping on the dress throughout the night! The shape and one shoulder were super flattering except for the flap of fabric right over my stomach. In general the dress was super comfortable, perfect for the navy ball, and received lots of compliments!

I loved this dress and truly felt like a million dollars. The dress was true to size and was comfortable to wear. I received many compliments throughout the night. I had a little extra room in my hips/butt area because my hips are narrow; however, with the details of the dress, it wasn't noticeable. I highly recommend!

This gown was comfortable and flattering to a curvy body but even in the 14L, the dress was on the short side. I made it work with flat sandals as this was already a replacement. Compliments all night from strangers and friends alike nonetheless.

This was dress was beautiful! Much more sparkly than the picture shows... I normally wear a 10 and the 10L fit great. ( I'm 5'7) the back is a tad longer than the front, which draped beautifully. It was a tad snug under the arms, but not terrible .

This is a beautiful dress, but you'd definitely want the right fit. Just enough shine to be stunning without doing full on sequins. It was comfortable trying it on and I loved the tailoring and one strap look. For me, it just wasn't fitted enough, I got the 4,6 and would've needed a 2. I'm typically about a 4. So I thought it ran a little big. Gorgeous dress, I'd rent it again in the right size.

The color of the dress was a little too metallic for me but the fit made up for it. I have an hourglass figure and it hid all the bad curves while accentuating the good ones ;) Booty looked amazing even without heels. Fits true to size and I did not have to wear a bra. If I were to do it over I would rent the suggested jewelry to go with it because its a little difficult to match. Not my absolute favorite dress I've ever rented from RTR but a good dress all in all.

I had originally rented two different dresses for my husband's ball, however both of them had issues and I couldn't wear them. Called customer service and got Colleen who was nothing short of saintly in her patience and understanding and helped me pick out back up dresses which she sent overnight to me. This one was the winner and I'm so glad I got it. Fit like a glove, was very comfortable and surprisingly light. The material looks silver in the picture, but definitely had more of a silver/champagne tone in person. I got a ton of compliments and felt confident. Photographed well too. I was also the only person in this dress and I saw other dresses I was considering on others throughout the night, so I'm really glad I went with this pick. Only 4 stars because the zipper was a MONSTER to zip up. Dress wasn't tight or ill fitting, but that zipper got stuck on every single fold of that material. That is my only complaint though!

I’m 5’ 6” 137lb wore an 8 but it was baggy. 6 would’ve been perfect.

This dress was disappointing. I should have ordered a size down. But others had reviewed it as fitting smaller, that was not the case. It did fit shorter than others, but the waist would run true to size. I didn't wear it for my event.

I rented this as my backup dress for an NYE gala and it was very beautiful. I'm usually between a 10 and 12 and the 12 fit very nicely. I didn't wear this because I absolutely loved my first choice gown but would definitely consider it again - only making sure they had the Long available. The Regular was too short. I am 5'7' but with very long legs (34" inseam) if that helps anyone. Really nice material and beautiful fit and color. It's a glamorous gown for sure.

This was my first experience with RTR and LOVED IT. Can't wait to use again.
