The fit of this dress is phenomenal! It looks even more beautiful in person than it does in pictures. I absolutely love that the deatils of the dress make it look like you have amazing curves. It is very flattering. I received tons of compliments and I'm kind of sad I have to send it back!

I used this dress for my sorority's formal ball. The dress was a perfect fit I absolutely loved it. The gold highlights your curves! It was a little long but that's because I'm really short but I wore my 5 in heels so it wouldn't drag!

This dress definitely hugs your curves so I wore spanx to smooth everything out. I wore this for formal so moving and dancing caused a little rubbing around the sleeve of the dress near the armpit. Overall, it's a very slimming dress! Highly recommended!

RTR is such a great company! Even though one of the dresses wasn't available due to damage, they sent me two more dresses for free. I ended up wearing the backup dress that they sent and it was perfect for my curves! I have a big bust (38DD) and there was plenty of room. I loved that it had enough stretch to show my curves the right way. Loved this dress!!

the moment i arrived to the Flatiron location i was greeted by an attendant and then my stylist came to get me. she had already picked out several gorgeous gowns which was a huge relief because i was afraid i would have very limited options because of my size. the moment i tried this one on i knew it was it but still wanted to try more. after going through almost 7 dresses (impressive for plus size girl) i decided to put this dress back on walked around in it for a while and decided this was it. at my best friends wedding i got so many compliments everyone loved the way it looked on me and i loved the way i felt in it. i danced and party all night and i was very comfortable the entire night. im a pretty big girl with a few curves in the right places and i loved how the gold lase on the side made the hourglass illusion more visible. i normally wear a 22 and was impressed that the 20 fit so well. i absolutely loved this dress

This dress fit perfectly, even though I am large up top (34JJ). I normally wear a 16-18. The gold detailing creates a nice hourglass so I felt thinner (always a plus!) and it's hard to tell in the photos, but the black material is a floral brocade too, so it blends with the gold detail and is gorgeous. There is also a small train in the back of the dress, which adds to the glamour, but is something to consider when selecting shoes. I wore a small heel and I didn't have to worry about the dress dragging in the front at all and was just enough so I wasn't tripping over the back train when I got up and down from our table.

This gown was so beautiful, well-constructed and comfortable! As soon as I put it on (without Spanx), I exclaimed, "I love it!" When it came time for the wedding (and the Spanx), it looked even better! I'm a "large" girl with a large chest (44G), and I felt 100% comfortable in this gown. I was able to wear my usual bra and not worry about straps showing. The fabric has a little bit of a give, which is nice. The pattern is gorgeous! I was sad when I had to pack it up and send it back.

I rented this for my husbands Christmas party and I felt amazing! Rent it!

This was a gorgeous flattery dress that hugged my curves the right way. I chose not to wear spanx and I don't really think you would need to with this. I'm normally a size 16 and opted for an 18. It was a perfect fit. It's somewhat forgiving material which is great. I don't think it shows up well on camera but the dress has some lovely lace-like detail. I'd highly recommend this dress for someone who's looking for some easy elegance.

First time to use Rent the Runway. Great Fit, Very Comfortable, right length. I felt very classy but modern at the same time. I love how easy it is to return. Will def use Rent the Runway in the future!

I rented this gown for my cousin's formal wedding, and have never felt so gorgeous! I went by the measurements on the size chart, and the dress fit like a glove. It was a little long for my 2 1/2" heels, but manageable, and would be fine with a higher heel. The fabric was thick and stretchy--so comfortable!--and the brocade concealed lumps. Love it!

The dress fit perfectly. It was a bit heavy but comfortable and kept me warm throughout the night. I had to have assistance in zipping it up and down. I had to wear 3" heels for the front not the drag. The train was amazing, but it did get stepped on quite a bit. I would definitely rent this dress again!

I am in love with this dress. I received compliments all night and a friend said how gorgeous the dress looked in person and in the pictures. It's very slimming, and hides the tummy area. I never wear form-fitting clothing, but I felt confident and beautiful in this, it just skims over the stomach so you couldn't see anything. I normally wear anywhere from a 14-18 depending on the stretch and bust. The 16 fit my absolutely perfect- zipped right up and was comfy and stretchy. Was slightly tight on the back of the arms. There is also a little bit of a train. My husband stepped on it a few times, and I had to be careful while dancing. I will 100% be renting again. Perfect for a formal event or dressy wedding!!!

I could have worn either the 18 or 20 but chose the more form fitting to help accentuate my curves :)

This dress was super flattering and highlighted my waist and hips! The inside liner did get bunched up a little after sitting, but otherwise it was pretty comfortable. I wore a full control Spanx to keep my tummy flat. Awesome gown!

This was actually an emergency ship after receiving a dress that fit all kinds of wrong. It fit great and I got a ton of compliments!

The dress is heavy enough to be flattering, but fitted enough to be sexy. I don't know the last time I wore something this form fitting and didn't feel like I needed to stop breathing while wearing it, just to avoid any unsightly bulges. I did wear a pair of spanx under this, but only to eliminate the dreaded belly button imprint. This dress is super comfortable and fluid. I was able to sit, eat, and dance in complete comfort and if I were looking for a husband, I'm pretty sure this dress would have caught him! It's definitely worth checking out.

The fit was a smidge tight, but nothing a pair of spanx can't fix. I received so many compliments on how well the dress fit me. It hugged in all the right places and was very easy to move around in all night. The pictures on the site don't do it justice, the lace is so pretty in person. I would recommend this dress for sure.

Originally had picked another dress but RTR notified me immediately that my original dress was returned in bad shape and would overnight me for free another available dress up to double the original price! Found this one that looked simple on the picture but reviews were great and def wanted something longer, black, and comfortable for a "black tie preferred" evening wedding. The dress was amazing, fit perfect, the gold blocking on the sides were very figure flattering. I wish I could keep it in my closet forever!

I wore this for a black tie wedding. I'm 6' tall, and wore 3" heels, so was worried about the length, even getting the longer option. It was maybe 1" shorter than I wanted it to be with the heels, but not enough to deter me from wearing. It is incredibly flattering, and the fabric is quality; there is lace but doesn't snag. Seriously, could not love this more.

At 5'4, 40DDD, I am not a small girl. I read all of the reviews on here with a fine tooth comb before deciding on this one. I screwed up delivery date and had it scheduled to arrive at my HOUSE on the day I was FLYING to the wedding acrossd the country. RTR was so helpful and we thought we fixed the problem, changed delivery address to the hotel. Well, they messaged me when I was flying and apparently Fed-ex now couldn't guarantee its arrival before Saturday. RTR offered to send me another dress, but now only in smaller size. They also had back-ups for me to choose but I didn't get the message in time since I was out of touch. My fingers and toes were crossed that the one size would work and...SUCCESS!! This dress was exactly as described and more. It fit me perfectly. It has a good weight to it, length for me at 5'4 was just right with heels (back is a little longer so be warned, that can drag on the ground a little and get stepped on). Even though this dress is "skin tight", it was extremely comfortable, even while sitting down. Yes, I did wear a Spanx but that just smoothed out all the lines :) I got lots of compliments and felt glamorous so all in all, what more could I want??

Loved the dress for a black tie wedding. It was elegant and classy with a sexy feel as it gave me great shape. It was a little short as everyone else complained about so I would go with the long in stead of the regular if you wear 3-4 in heels with it. If I had worn flats it would've been perfect length. Overall loved the dress and would recommend to others to rent as well for formal event. Its also on the heavier material side so wouldn't wear this in spring summer months (worn on Jan 2)

Absolutely GORGEOUS dress and fit true to size (I am a regular 16 to 16 short). Length was great for a higher heel at 5'4". I felt like a goddess at my BFF's wedding! I would definitely recommend!

This dress fit like a glove and accentuated my curves perfectly. The material was comfortable and a bit stretchy which made it very comfortable. I am 5'6 so the long was perfect. I highly suggest this gown, I will be renting it again for another event in a few weeks.

The fit was perfect for an hourglass shape. I have a 36G bust, and it was not tight in the chest at all. I am 5'9" and wore the 14L with flats. My second child is 4 months old, so I wore some spanx for my mommy belly, and felt the dress was form fitting in just the right places. I felt awesome in this dress. I won't ever buy a fancy dress again! RTR all the way!

I typically wear an 18, but it was pretty tight, so I was really happy to have the 20 as a backup. The dress was very comfortable to wear, and a huge plus for me was that I could wear a regular bra with it. It had a bit of a train, but was totally fine with heels. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I was expecting the detailing to be gold as it appears in the picture. I think this dress had been rented out a number of times and the gold simply wore off, because I could see in some places that it was still there, but possibly rubbed off after repeated use. That was a bit of a bummer, but otherwise, I loved wearing this dress, and had a blast at the Marine Corps Birthday Ball.

Very flattering. Fabric is heavy and has some stretch, so fit my curves perfectly. Great length for my 5'10" height with medium heels. The gold accents are burnished so it was easy to accessorize. Worn to a formal wedding reception.

The fabric is beautiful and has some stretch to it. The gold material on the sides helps with the elusion of an hour glass shape. My only con was that there was a little too much fabric in the thigh area where the gold fabric met the black fabric.

This was not the dress I wanted but it was perfect. The fabric is a little heavy so it's perfect for winter. The only problem I had was the length. I'm 5'8 and they sent a regular. It was a little too short. I would have preferred if my ankles did not show. Very confortable and the details are great. Everybody loved to gold panels on the side.

The dress was new and fresh, it felt like I was the first person to wear it. The back up dress, was a size 18, and was not so well constructed. It was stretched out. The dress came as promised on time, and ready to wear.

I loved this dress. I was not so impressed with it when I found it online, but I had very short notice for a black tie event and could not afford to be very picky. This dress was very comfortable and looked great. I received many complement from total strangers when I wore this dress. I would definitely recommend this dress to anyone, but you may to to be sure to wear it with a good bra and spanks of some sort if you are a plus size at that help you keep everything together.

It was a gorgeous fit! Of course, it runs a little short due to it only coming in R, but I just wore flats with it. You can tell this dress is high quality. It hits your curves in just the right places, and the detail in the gold and the black fabric is amazing. It doesn't show it well in the picture, but there is actually a pattern in the black that looks great. The bottom of the dress also swishes out a little when you walk, and it was really comfortable to wear. AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved it!

I wore this for the formal night of a cruise to celebrate my 50th birthday and had a great time! The dress is comfortable, flattering, moves well. The fabric is heavy and lovely. The gold is not as reflective as it appears in some of the pictures, which I was happy with. I wanted it to be a little more subdued. I typically wear a size 16 and I'm 6 feet tall and the dress was a perfect fit. I loved it and would buy it if I had need for a formal gown more often.

This dress was one of my favorite RTR's. It was so incredibly comfortable and flattering that I wish I could have kept it. I also wish I had taken photos! I'd rent this again in a heart beat!
