I wore this dress in a black tie optional wedding at the Disneyland Hotel (there was something subtly "Minnie Mouse" about it). The dots look a little less red and a little more pink in person than they do online. I have very very broad shoulders and at 5'10' dresses can tend to be short but this dress fit wonderfully. It was a little bit loose in the waist but because it's so structured it still fell really nicely. I can definitely see how the dress could get overwhelming on someone petite, but if you're tall and broad give it a try, I got so many compliments!

Loved this dress! The fit was great and it was very comfortable. I loved the fullness of the skirt & the black trim at the bottom. My only wish is that it had pockets.

Previous comments about "too much material, runs large" scared me. I sized down for both sizes. I think a 6 would have been ok but the 4 worked perfectly too.

I was nervous that I couldn't get a size 14 in case the dress ran small. But it fit perfectly. The flair of the bottom makes the dress so playful. It was also extremely comfortable for a full night out. I wish I could have kept it!

I received an email from RTR a few days before my event saying the dress I reserved had been returned damaged beyond repair and would not be available. I sent them four choices and this dress was on the the list. I was thrilled that RTR sent my first choice dress in another size, sent another dress they chose in 2 sizes, and this dress which I ultimately wore. Great customer service. The dress was beautiful, ran true to size, and did not need any special undergarments. I added some inexpensive jewelry in the color theme and a cuff bracelet similar to the one the model wore. Added a black wrap when the air cooled after dark. I received many compliments and liked this dress more than my first choice. A sticky situation had a great ending.

Great retro dress worn to the Heart Ball on Valentine's Day. I am 5'10" and this dress is very different than most I usually wear. Has a throw back 50s vibe...fitted bodice and full skirt. My only issue was the arm hole...was almost too small for the size of the dress. The length was good for my height..just above the knee. Very lady like...Nice dress overall.

This was a great dress! It was a little big around my rib cage, but right in the armpit. Other than that I loved the dress! Paired it with red boots for a barn wedding!

The photos do not do it justice. This is an outstanding, elegant dress. The fabric is gorgeous, and the "dots" are a pinkish red. Perfect fit. I'm short so this hit a bit below the knee -- but it wasn't dowdy. Can't wait to rent this or another Carmen Marc Valvo again.

I wore this dress to a day wedding on Valentine's Day and then out to dinner that night with my husband. I added a black pashmina wrap as I live in Denver and even though it was 60 degrees there was still a chill in the air. I have broad athletic shoulders and the dress fits snugly in the chest. I wore the size 4 which is my normal size. I tried on the size 6 which was more comfortable in the chest but a little big overall everywhere else - the size 4 just looked better. The dress was beautiful and arrived perfectly pressed. It was comfortable to spend the day in. I would definitely rent this dress again.

I'm a total pear and this dress was flattering and comfortable. It flares more than I expected, but that's a small price to pay. The color and fabric were perfect. Loved this dress!

I wore this dress to a wedding at The Biltmore in Asheville, NC. It was perfect! The fabric is rich and a classic shape. The dress is well made and flattering. I paired the dress with a fascinator and felt like a princess. I recommend this dress for conservative events.

Fit great, I had a baby 3 mo prior to wearing and it hid all the right things and I could wear a nursing bra with it.

The fit in the hips and ribcage were perfect. The dress did dig into my armpits a bit -- but it was fine. The length was really good; just above the knee. In certain lighting the polka dots look more pink than red.

When I first opened this dress, I didn't think I was going to like it. It seemed very shiny. Once I tried it on, I liked it better. When I put it on for our date, hair and make up - I loved it! So did my boyfriend!

Loved the material!!! Skirt is poofy - and it was almost tea length on me - so be ready for the extra volume, but it was fun for the Christmas party I attended. The colors are great and the pattern is playful. You can tell that it's made with quality! Almost felt like SJP walking down the streets of NYC. Perfect and fun statement for a one time wear!

This dress swallowed me! Even with a size down, a lot of fabric (albeit, beautiful fabric!). Conservative cut. This was my back up dress, and I didn't end up wearing it.

I ordered another dress with a back up size that ended up being damaged so RTR was not able to send me one of the sizes. They offered to send me another dress at no additional charge to make up for it. I sent them my top 5 (this being #4) and this is the dress they selected for me. The dress is pretty, the fabric is nice however the length was a bit long on me. It had a matronly feel to it. If it had been shorter, it may have been okay. I didn't end up wearing this.

I did not wear this dress as it was really long and big all over. The fabric is beautiful, but I needed to be MUCH taller. It is also has a very full skirt. It does not seem so in the picture, but it is a puffy skirt.

This fit perfectly. Not too short, not too tight. Maybe a little snug around the arms, but nothing too distracting. So glad I picked this one out. Received tons of compliments.

This dress fit great but the fabric has no give and I found my self a little uncomfortable after eating dinner.

The torso of this dress is long and fitted which means when I tried the dress on the full skirt made my hips look enormous even though it was flattering to my bust and shoulders (although a tiny bit small). If the dress was more A-line it would have worked out fine, but because the skirt's fullness starts at the hip it doesn't hide the hips, it accentuates them.
