The top of the dress runs a little big. I could have fit the 14 it would have been more fitted. There is a little stretch in the dress.

This is a very glamorous, sexy dress. I was "channeling" Mariah Carey!!! The dress arrived two days early which was great! As the reviews said, the neckline is plunging. I pinned it up by the straps otherwise I would not have been able to wear a bra. I am 5'7" and the length was just short even though I ordered the long. It was ok as I just wore a kitten heel sandal. This dress is made for an hourglass figure. Did not need Spanx as the material was lined and holds a great shape. The RTR customer service was also wonderful. Highly recommend this dress if you want to make a statement. This was my third rental and each one just gets better:)

The fit was great. The length was a tad too long, but it was the best part because I could wear flats!

The dress was beautiful but ran a little odd for my body shape. It was big in the shoulder area but very fitted in other areas. I would definitely size up. Also if you are very hippy (like myself) you may want to get the long so that the length is appropriate.

It was noted that this dress runs true to size, but that is not the case if you have a larger rear like I do. I normally wear a 16, but had to wear an 18 in this dress, which still was tight for my butt, but large everywhere else. It is also very deeply cut in the bust area, so be aware if you're not used to your cleavage being completely exposed. Other than that, I loved the dress and so did everyone else. I will definitely rent from RTR again.

Runs VERY small. I'm a size 16 but ordered at size 18. Even that was tight. I do have large breasts so that could have been the problem. VERY LOW CUT . . but stunning.

I've had my eye on this dress for a while, so jumped at the chance to rent it for a Halloween formal cocktail party in an NY cemetery. I would usually wear a 16W, but this dress was snug in the hips, so I went up to the 18. I got the long length, and it was prefect with flats. I'm 5'7", so with heels it may have looked a little short. I will note this dress is VERY low cut. I had to pin up the straps a bit, and was still glad to have my faux fur stole to cover up a bit. Not for ladies who prefer not to show cleavage! Aside from that one fit issue, I got tons of compliments all night, and my husband loved it. :)

I received tons of compliments on this gown!! I felt great, looked great and I am super happy about this dress and the service. I will say, the dress runs small in regards to the online size chart. It hugs your curves and has some stretch, but if your are a pear shape like me or an apple shape, go up a size and wear a push up bra to compensate on the top. It was long enough for me, but I couldn't wear high heals with the long. To wear 4" or higher heels for my hight I would have needed an extra long fit. On the fit, It wasn't tight, it zipped perfect, but I needed a little more room to sit!!! Overall, this was one of the finest dresses I've worn aside from my wedding dress. This gown is a must if you want to WOW the crowd and look great!

The fit is true to size. I am currently a 16 and a 16WR fit me spot on. I am 5'4, so the length was perfect for high heels. It fit perfectly with enough room to dance the night away in. The straps have a little fastener on the inside that you snap your bra straps in and they stay in place all night!

The fit was true to size although I didn't feel there was much of a trumpet at the bottom. Material was nice and straps were great!

I had to go a size up -- thank heavens for great costumer service! I called the day before my event and they were able to get another dress to me in time. The dress fits like a glove and shows all your curves. I had many compliments during the night.

WOW...it's very pretty and I received multiple compliments, but the "V" in the front and back are VERY low, my bra showed both front and back. I wore SPANX with it to keep my lady lumps nice and tight because it's a straight dress no hiding anything. A great dress to wear with a chunky statement necklace and a sassy black heel. I wear an 18 at the LB and RTR runs just one size up. I'd also suggest going up in length if you are around my height, the regular was short on me with a three inch heel. I added a black wrap to keep my arms warm and it was comfortable and kept up with me all night long...

This dress is great and beautiful but it is NOT for girls who have a tummy or a muffin top. It runs small but the bust runs big. Make sure to get a back up in another dress because this dress is a chance!

Ok so this dress was definitely figure flattering except the bust area. This dress does run small for the most part except in the bust. The straps and bust area in the size 22 are very stretched out. I would have to pin the straps up first then I wouldn't have been able to wear any type of bra because it is severely low cut. I wear a 42 DD or a 44C depending on brand. I wish this dress worked out but it just didn't. If you have much larger boobs and normally a size 20, this dress would be perfect! The length is also on the short side so make sure you have great shoes!

This gown is stunning. I received SO many compliments throughout the night wearing this and felt like a million bucks, whether I was mingling, dancing, sitting and eating - and even looking in a mirror! The fabric is one of a kind, very opulent and luxe. I picked out some gold and black accessories and did an updo. With the dramatic plunge neckline, I was told I looked very 1930's/1940's red carpet. Pro tip: get some dress tape and adhesive cups, since a typical strapless bra will be seen at the base of the neckline. I have smaller breasts for my height and size, and a pretty proportionate figure and found the 18 (a size up from normal for me) fit wonderfully - plenty of room to boogy down and eat lots of wedding cake.

Beautiful gown! Very figure flattering. I have a short torso so the top half was very big, but was able to pull some fashion magic with a few tricks! True bust size is 38G but no option for that on profile! ;)

Great dress! It was a little snug around the "girls". If you are busty like myself, I would suggest going up an additional size.

I got tons of compliments. It's slimming and flattering. I think it runs a little short. The Long perfectly grazed the floor barefoot so pro/con I got to wear flats underneath it.

I only ordered one size because I thought the 18 would be too big.

From the waist down the fit was fine after I got a Spanx. The traps were too big in both sizes so I had to wear a cover. I made it work. The length was fine.

I wish I could have worn this but it is waaaaaaay too tight. Probably two sizes smaller than usual. Go at least two sizes up if you have a big round booty. :-)

The dress was amazing! Beautiful design and good quality. Unfortunately, the regular was too short for me.

There's no stretch at all in the lining, which was an issue only when zipping up at the top. The neckline is low, but not obscenely, though you will need a plunging undergarment. I wore this with statement earrings and a side updo, so I didn't wear the necklace i'd rented. When I first took it out of the bag, I was kind of underwhelmed because I thought the gold lace would be flashier. But when I got it on and stood under the light, it was gorgeous and just the right amount of flash. I don't know if the regular length they sent me had been hemmed by a previous wearer as super short, but at 5'6", I needed to wear the Long version absolutely and that was the "just right" length.

Glad that I had size 18 & 20 sent. The 18 would have fit a little snug , but would have been too short for heals. I wore the size 20 ...and the length was better. Very comfy dress. A bit low cut in front, so I took up the straps just a little. Got many compliments.

I ordered one size up (20) from my normal dress size (18), and even then I could BARELY fit into the dress. Recommend ordering two sizes up for this dress, especially as there's zero give/stretch.

This dress is a straight size, not a W - I ordered the 16WR & 20WR (18 wasn't available). The 16 fit, but wasn't comfortable or flattering - the 20 was too big because it was too long and the V front and back were VERY deep, but it fit through the torso. The 18 might have been okay. In regular dresses, I wear a 14W, but formal wear, usually a bit larger - thought the 16W would fit! I'm 5'3 and the 16R was too long with 4" heels! It could have been wearable but would drag the floor a bit. Nice dress, heavy weight. Mine wasn't "green" tinted as other reviews have suggested...it was deep black and gold - bold but not too flashy - very beautiful!

Dress was so short. Because a 22W doesn't come in a long length, I had no choice. Would be ok with short heels, but I'm 5'8" and I'd say the dress seemed almost ankle length - barefoot.

This dress is really beautiful but there were too many problems with the fit! I am very much a pear shape and thought this dress would fit well but it didn't. First, it fits very tight around the hips with no room to stretch so if this is a problem area for you, size up! Second, the other reviews were not kidding when they said it was much shorter than it says! I'm 5'4" and the regular length hit right above my ankle. Finally, the top was very big on me. There is no way I would have felt comfortable for the entire evening in this dress with the top that loose. The straps are very long and since it is low cut the fabric would not stay in place to cover what needed to be covered. If it had fit, this would have been perfect for the occasion but it just really didn't fit at all.

Dress does run small and fabric does not have much wiggle room in it. It is a beautiful dress, wish I could of worn it.

Rented this for a 20s Gatsby event, but couldn't wear it. I read the reviews and ordered a size up from my usual, but it was still way too tight around the hips and belly area to be flattering. It's also very low cut. Would be better for a woman who is not too busty and hippy. Order at least one size up, maybe two if you are hippy. There is NO stretch in this one. Bummed that it wasn't flattering on me as it is a lovely dress.

This dress was sent to me by RTR because my original chosen dress was damaged beyond repair. The stomach area on this dress was flattering, but the dress was very low cut. I tried it on while wearing my bra and you could practically see the entire bra. I don't think any bra I own would have been low cut enough to wear with this dress.

could not fit

This dress runs slightly small. I am typically between an 18/20/22, and the 22 "fit". Unfortunately, the straps were much too long making this nearly a plunge neckline. And the "regular" was a good 6"-9" too short. There isn't a Tall option in sizes above 18. I should say that I am only 5'7". I have never worn a TALL anything. The fabric is gorgeous, I would have loved it if this gown fit. If you are 5'2" plus size woman, this dress is waiting for you.

The gown itself is stunning. I am sorry to say it did not fit. I would like to come into a "Rent the Runway" shop and try on some gowns, to find one in this style that fits. As a larger sized person, I find gowns are very touch and go to find the right fit.

This dress was very pretty and very figure flattering. It fit a bit strange though- I found it to be smaller in the hip area than the other 16W I tried on but it seemed large in the bust. It might be worth ordering a size larger than you expect. I am 5"6.5 and I wore the 16WR with flats and the dress went right to the tops of my feet.

I find that this designer runs small. I usually wear a 16 or 18 and the 20 was snug. I am a 42DDD and the top was too big and also way too low. I pinned the straps so that it was not as low. However, the color, fabric and design are beautiful. It is flattering and also hides all of your flaws.
