I’m usually a size 2 but needed the backup size 4 for this designer.

The dress was gorgeous. It fit my body like a glove. I am 65-years-old and I felt like a hot tamale in this outfit but age appropirate. That said the styling in the back buttock area unattractive for simeine my age. Rather than a sleek look which I expected, even with Spanx, my rear end looked twice as large as expected. Not the best look. Although the rest of the dress was stunning.

I am 5'6, 210lbs. I am between a size 16 and 18 but this 18 was a bit snug, possibly because it is meant to be form fitting. I was very self conscious because I've never worn anything form fitting, but as the night went on and I received numerous genuine compliments, I began to feel like a million bucks. It is very glamorous.

Gorgeous gold dress that I wore for a Valentine's date with a friend. Something different from the typical red or pink. Chic and elegant for all ages. Wore a strapless bra underneath it. There are little zippers at the wrists that allow you to open the sleeves a couple inches or so.

I'm 5'1, 135 lbs, pear shape. The dress fit perfectly, very comfortable. I was concerned about the arms from the other reviews, but there was no issue And The ruching hit in all the right places. I received compliments all night and my boyfriend couldn't keep his eyes or hands off me. If I could own this dress I would.

Reviews are spot on. Expect to wear a size up. Probably could have worn the 8, but felt much more comfortable in the 10. I'm short so I "hemmed" the dress with fashion tape [not in this photo]. Got lots of complements. The dress was made well, but looked much fancier/more lustrous in the photo on the model.

This dress doesn't give at all but once it is on, it looks fabulous. It isn't easy to get into, squeeze into it. Don't give up. If in doubt, go a size up!

LOVED this dress! The fit was perfect, length was a touch above the knee, and I received compliments on the dress all night long. I don't have my ears pierced, so I just went with a nice big ring for my jewelry. I felt comfortable in the dress all night long and was able to dance without the sleeves bothering me. Another successful rental and I highly recommend this dress!

Love this dress! Very elegant,classy,and forgiving. Perfect winter time dress. The only con is that it is a bit restricting when going up stairs. But other than that would definitely rent again! Stunning dress that makes you feel beautiful.

Some others said it was itchy but it's really just itchy on the outside and that part doesn't touch you. It's a little tight (runs small) but loved that since it hugged my curves!

I rented this dress for an outdoor fall wedding. Many people wrote the sleeves were tight, but I disagree. The dress fit absolutely perfect! I wear a size 4, but ordered a 4 and 6. I ended up wearing the 4. I received MANY compliments on the dress and fit of the dress. Definitely will be renting again!!

Both sizes fit well, but I wore the 6 because the four was a little snug on my arms. It was comfortable and came out great in pictures. Perfect for the event I went to.

The dress was perfect for the fall temperatures in northern NH with the long sleeves. While I'm petite, I haven't had as much time for the gym as I would have liked, so the cinched middle of the dress was perfect for hiding any extra weight I've put on. The hanger hooks were a pain all night and if it was my dress I would have cut them off. It was also difficult to walk upstairs with how tight the bottom of the dress was, but it was fine for sitting and dancing. I received lots of compliments all night!

I was worried this dress was a little too granny (No offense, RTR...but you need to pick up the slack in the plus size department...), but once I put it on with some pointy-toed pumps and edgier, dark lipstick, i felt super chic and classic, but not OLD. The color was gorgeous for a fall wedding, and I received a lot of compliments since it was unlike anything others were wearing. I almost want to say this dress runs a bit large...I think I could've worn the 14, but when I was attempting to zip it up alone, I had a much easier time in the 16 due to extra fabric, so I just stuck with it. It's super comfortable with shirring that isn't obvious and very stretchy fabric. Even the arms/shoulders weren't bad once it was completely zipped up! They didn't slip or anything, but the 16 definitely allowed more room in the upper arms.

This dress fit like a glove - I had to size up as it does run a little small. It's stretchy, but the hemline and top of the dress were tight, so it was difficult to get in and out of vehicles or raise my arms, but worth it because of how it looked. I would rent this again! I am tall and was worried about the length, but it was perfect. Thanks for another great experience!

Dress was true to size for me and fit like a glove! I didn't even need to try the additional size! It did have a tendency to ride up a little and bunch awkwardly around my waist/tummy but nothing a little pull down here and there couldn't fix. Thanks, RTR!!!

I ordered this dress for a friend's "golden" birthday party, although the dress itself was much less gold that I had anticipated. It is black with a gold lace overlay, which actually gives the dress more of a bronze color in pictures. I found the dress to be extremely flattering and mid-section-friendly despite the fact that it is very tight. It has a great neckline, so you will want to wear a strapless bra with this one! One thing to note is that the bottom (around the knees) is pretty fitted, so it isn't the easiest for going to the bathroom. But, I guess you will have that with many sexy, tight dresses! I really loved this dress and received compliments on it all night!

The dress was so flattering. I have such a hard shape for which to dress; I wear a 36g bra and a size 10 pants with no hips. Certainly not the typical hourglass figure. I think the neckline was wide enough to allow give for my bust. The asymmetrical ruching at the waist gave me a waist. Loved the long sleeves at this early spring event; kept me warm. The gold was so very gold and really stood out in a sea of black dresses.

I'm at my "fluffiest" currently. I blame it on the winter, and living in New England, so going down to SC for a wedding was intimidating. I typically fluctuate between a 6 and 8, so I took the advice of the other reviewers and got a size up for my backup dress. I gain most of my weight in my hips and thighs, so I was a bit worried about the tapered skirt. I was sure I would have to squeeze into the 10 after reading the reviews, but it ended up being too baggy around the waist. The arms were a little snug, but overall the 8 fit like a glove. It is very difficult to walk up and down stairs when you pair this dress with high heels, but it is worth it. You won't be able to lift your arms up very high, but I could still get food and drinks to my mouth so it didn't bother me much. The hanger loops (or whatever you call them) are kind of a pain. They are short and sewn in such a way that it's impossible to keep them tucked in. I was sure I wasn't allowed to snip them off so I just pinned them in place and hoped I wouldn't suffer a small stabbing around my underarms that night. Anyways, this dress is perfect for showing off a beautiful natural curvy figure. Personally I think it suits my body type just as well (if not better) than the stick thin model it's shown on. I know I should branch out a bit, but I just want to keep renting this dress for every event. Beware of other people's jewelry though, bracelets and rings kept getting caught in the lace during hugs.

Pair this puppy with some fab earrings, some big girls shoes, and you're SET. This dress is super flattering, particularly around the middle. I have a DD bust, and I was fully contained, but not squished with a strapless bra. Length hits just above knee. Sleeves have cute little zippers on the side, but the sleeves were also good for stashing my lipgloss and phone all night!

This was the first time I've used Rent the Runway and plan to do it again and again. Lots of compliments on this dress! A beautiful, sparkly, green-gold beauty. Classy but sexy. It runs small. I usually wear a 4 but was glad I also ordered a 6, which is what I ended up wearing. Arms are tight, but necessary to keep the bodice in place. If you are a C cup or larger, you'll probably need a strapless or long-line bra. The extra material on the back enhances your booty. It's an unforgettable dress, which is why I'll be renting it again for a different event with a different crowd.

This is an elegant dres that is surprisingly comfortable. The gold lace looks especially good indoors under low lighting & candle light where it catches the light. It does run small and is fitted without necessarily looking fitted due to the rouching in the right places (stomach-mid section and derriere). I normally wear a 4 but wore a size 6 and even that was snug although was not tight/constricting. It has to be snug for the shoulders to stay in place, which they did comfortably. There is a nude slip underneath that keeps the dress from being scratchy but the slip did peak out from the lace in the front. I used some double sided tape to "hem" it. I was concerned that the dress would be too long on me (I'm not very tall) but it hit just below the knee on me which was fine. I rented the Whiting & Davis gold mesh clutch as well. I loved this dress and would rent it again.

Perfect for a fall wedding! Sized up for this one. There’s not a lot of stretch in the material, so once you’re in you’re in! (And it becomes very difficult to go to the bathroom). Like many others have indicated the arms are very tight. The butt area / zipper stuck out a bit, which I found a bit frustrating. But overall loved the look - received many compliments!

This does run small... I usually wear an 18/20 but went with the 22 to feel comfortable. The dress is a perfect fit with some good spanx lol . The material was surprisingly comfortable and not itchy! I got a lot of great compliments for the country club wedding. The neckline was sexy too with a little off the shoulder action.

I rented the dress for a daytime wedding. It is very sexy and very tasteful. The dress runs extremely small. Don't let the W on the larger sizes fool you, they still run small. I usually wear a Misses size 16. I ordered the 16W & 18W. That was a mistake. The 16W was way too tight, the 18W was better and I wore that to the wedding. A size 20 would have been perfect. If you are considering renting this dress, expect to go up 2 sizes. I made due with a pair of Spanxs and I did not wear pantyhose. The range of motion on the arms are limited because it was a little snug on me. I live alone and could not manage to zip it all the way up. I received assistance from a friend. The 4 hanger loops in the dress are short and will come up everytime you move. You will need to use a safety pin to keep them in place. Lastly the lining has a habit of peeking through the bottom. All in all, a very pretty dress. You will look amazing but it's a bit of a pain to wear.

This dress fit nicely and was very comfortable. It was cold out so the long sleeves were nice. The reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because the lining was hanging out below the hem of the dress and you could see it. Luckily it was a nude tone fabric. I tend to carry extra weight in my stomach and usually everything is tight and uncomfortable in that area. This dress was not. I am also very busty (larger than the size they have available for the review).

All Pros: the color is more bronze than gold. The rouching on the back hides back fat. I could wear a bra. I just slid the straps down a bit.. The 12 was roomier, but looked matronly. The dress is meant to be tight, so i went with the 10. The lenghth on the 10was better for my 5'1" frame. The arms were fitted and slimming. Zowie dress. I should mention, zipping it up was difficult, because of the tight fit. I needed the hubby to help.!

The dress does run a bit small. I normally wear a size 14 and I got this in a size 16w, I'm a pretty curvy girl and it was a bit snug in the booty area - but was ultimately 'wearable'. I got so many compliments on this dress and would absolutely recommend it for a fall or winter event.
