LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fit of the dress. It is very forgiving to a less than toned tummy!

This dress was a light silver color... More like a platinum... Even though it looks more white in the pictures. I'm more busty, so it was a little loose in the hips for me, which was perfect. Otherwise it could have been difficult to sit down. The 12R was a little longer than I would have liked. I am 5"3 and wore 4 in heels and it was still touching the ground a little bit. Overall beautiful dress!

I agree that the is tight around hips, although I could have used a size 6 because it was too big in the top. It worked out and I LOVED the dress!

I normally wear an 8 but went up to a 10L and it fit well and was not too tight. I was worried based off other reviews that I wouldn't be able to move: but I'm 5'9" and "hippy" and I loved the fit.

For my birthday my boyfriend took rented this dress for my birthday night in Cancun. The fit overall was great. I am 5'8" so the long was a perfect choice for me. I even ended up wearing 3 inch heels and the dress swept the ground at the right length. It could have come in at the waist for me a bit but with the peplum it was hardly even not noticed. I would definitely rent this dress again. I felt beautiful on my birthday and would rent it again.

as another reviewer said, this dress is more silvery than white. which i thought was even better! it looks expensive and i got lots of compliments. it's classic, yet the peplum makes it memorable. LOVED it. my favorite thing i've rented from RTR for sure. i had to wear really tall heels even with the regular length, but i am just 5'3. i didn't wear a bra bc my boobs just barely squeezed in this dress. but i wish i could have bc after having 3 kids they don't rest as high as they used to without some support! :) #Momproblems

I thought this dress was going to be white but it's silver with a silver overlay. I ordered a size up as a backup and glad I did. I'm always a 4 but the 6 fit perfect. I felt so classic and simply elegant. Very forgiving for a night of eating and drinking!

Event theme was Sapphire and Diamonds. This was the perfect dress. Fit was as everyone said: went one size up and perfect. TOUGH zipper. Yikes. But overall gorg.To me a winter dress, as its thick and silver (not white), as also mentioned by others. Thank you RTR! The blue accessories were perfect!

This dress was comfortable, unique, and perfect for an Inaugural Ball. I was glad I ordered a size up, as my normal size was really tight in the bust and hips (and I'm not very hippy). One thing to keep in mind is that it does have a little bit of a train.. nothing super long but enough that you have to be careful that your heels don't catch it in the bag and send you hurling towards the ground. Overall, loved the dress & highly recommend - received so many compliments!

It's tight though the hips. If you have any hips at all, order a size up. The tall length was perfect. I wore 3 inch heals this evening. Again, it is tight...it was VERY difficult to sit down. Overall a stunning number but probably best for someone with straight or athletic frame.

Fabric is thick and zippers are very difficult, so don't lose heart when trying on- it'll take work to get zipped in. No stretch whatsoever in fabric, and is fitted at thighs. Pear shapes should size up. I am 5'4 and the 2R was perfect length. Recommend.

Definitely runs true to size. I wore the 6 because it fit better in the bust but it was tight around the waist and hips. I'm small up top so the 8 was large in the top. The hanger straps kept slipping out. Overall, I wanted something that was different and this dress truly fit the bill. Received tons of compliments!!

I wore the 2R, but I wish the 4R had been available as a back up size. I would have liked to try it to see if it fit better. From a looks standpoint, this dress fit really well...but it felt super tight in the hips. If you have hips and a butt (which I do), try a size up for your back up size. Spanx really made all of the difference, especially comfort-wise. There is NO stretch in this material, so at first I felt like I was wearing a straight jacket, but after an hour I just got used to it. The color is a gray/silver but not metallic. It's really just stunning and makes you feel quite glamorous!

Attention!! This dress IS NOT WHITE/CREAM. It is a LIGHT GRAYISH/SILVER. The color gives it a stunning vintage look that I was complimented on the entire night. I got the 14R and it fit me wonderfully. It hugged my hips and gave me a flattering figure. It was a little lose up top (I'm a 36D), however, and caused this weird rippled look in the back. I wore my hair long to hide that though. I found myself pulling up the side without the strap quite a bit throughout the night. Overall, I'm ecstatic with my first rent the runway experience. I had almost every single girl in my class tell me I looked like a goddess!!

I wore this dress for my Barrister's Ball (law school prom), and I got some really great photos throughout a wonderful night. It was long on me, so I used safety pins to pull the fabric up underneath the peplum. It was easy to walk in, but a little tricky to get in and out of cabs in it. My rental experience with RTR was, as usual, flawless. The first dress I ordered did not fit, so they sent this one overnight, after the stylist I spoke with on the phone helped me choose the best size. Thank you RTR, for such great customer service.

The side zipper on this gown is definitely a two man job. The material was beautiful but it does run large and didn't fit as well as I would have liked. I ordered it as my back up and since my first choice worked I didn't end up getting to wear this gown. The cut of the gown, esp the back is very pretty and the peplum is flattering. The color was nothing spectacular on me.. but I think with either really dark skin or really light skin it would be very pretty.

I rented this dress for my Senior Prom. I was looking for a dress that NO ONE would have. And I succeeded! This dress is so unique and vintage! I felt great and looked great! However, I ordered the long because my height is right between the Long requirements and the Regular. However, I found that I should have got a regular. I wore 2 inch heels and still had to pick up the dress. Also, I recently lost weight, I was usually an 8, and ordered the 6 but i found it to still be a bit large. All other dresses I've tried on recently have fit well so I don't think I blame it on my weight loss. However, It was worth it because i truly ended up loving this dress (not to mention, the constant compliments i received did help!).

The fit on the hips is tight, thats why I had to wear the 8 instead of the 6. If your hips are a tad on the larger size, I would size up. Good thing I sized up because I almost got the 4 and 6. I couldn't fill out the bust well though. It's a GORGEOUS gown. I don't think I have gotten that many compliments before in my life. The gown is pretty forgiving pertaining to panty lines and such.

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful dress! I regret my event wasn't longer because I felt so elegant and lovely in this dress. One "issue" was that the straps for the hanger kept popping out of the gown... probably because the top was a little loose for me (36B). I expected this dress would give me a little more accentuation in the waist since the bottom fit perfectly and that's my thicker area, but the model in the picture must have her dress cinched... the top is large. If you want curves, I'd suggest going down a size. Oh, and this dress is 100% silver.. not white with silver accents as the picture suggests.

The dress itself was beautiful, but rather hard to wear. It's very fitted, which makes it hard to sit, bend down, etc. It's also hard to see in the photos, but this dress has a train. That and the thick, fitted fabric make it kind of hard to walk and dance. On the other hand, the thicker fabric makes the whole thing very flattering. The peplum skirt was my favorite part!

The overall fit of this dress was a bit odd on me. It seemed to fit looser on the top than it did on the hip and butt area. This is rare for me because my bust is on the larger side, being at a 34 DD. With this being said, I also don't think by any means that my lower half is disproportionately larger than my top. The dress was also a bit loose through the waist, so I think this dress would probably be better on someone with a straighter, top-heavy figure. the length of the dress was perfect with my 3" heels and it wouldn't have been too long with a shorter heel, either. The dress was very good quality and was a nice, heavy fabric.

This is a gorgeous dress. The color is definitely a silver overlay and the fabric is substantial so it will hold in any pooch you may have. I didn't wear the gown though because it is VERY long. I'm 5'7" and typically rent RTR's tall versions of gowns to wear with 4" heels. This dress was easily 3-4" too long even with my heels, and the dress has a train which would have been dragging. I'll absolutely rent this gown again if I have the opportunity, I'll just make sure to rent the normal length.

The fit is very figure flattering. It is form fitting and not any give in the fabric. There is a small train in the back that makes it even more elegant and formal. The length was very long on me. I"m 5'2", wore 3 in heels and had to fashion tape the hem up by at least 2 and 1/2 inches. Like most of the other reviewers said, the dress looks white in all the photos, even though it is silver. Must be because of the glittery sliver threads that run throughout the lace reflecting light. I would definitely rent this dress again. Would be great to own.

Lace, peplum, and silver!

I rented this dress in sizes 4 and 6. The dress runs pretty true to size. The size 4 fit nicely and the length was perfect with 4 inch heels. The dress was one of the more comfortable dresses I've worn; no boning or beading to irritate the skin. I was a bit worried that the color would be too pale, but it is actually a rich silver with a shimmering lace overlay. Simply Gorgeous!Got loads of compliments all night. Would definitely wear this one again! Thanks for another great dress RTR!

I rented this for the Philadelphia wedding reception my mother-in-law hosted for us at Christmas (we got married in October in AZ). I wanted to wear a dress that was fancy, wintery, and almost bridal and this was perfect! It's definitely silver, not metallic-white, and doesn't have much give but was still comfortable. The hanger ribbons were annoying and kept popping out, but fashion tape would have solved that (and I didn't realize that until a few days later lol). In all, it was perfect for our second reception and I would rent it again for a winter formal event.

Wouldn't get the dress if you have a lot of curves. The dress is very straight and narrow through the hips.

This dress is absolutely beautiful, it is more silver than white as I thought. Worn for a winter event and was perfect. The dress is ideal for an hourglass shape. I am between a size 4 and 6 and ordered both sizes. The 4 fit perfect on top yet too snug on the hips and the material has no give. So I wore the 6 which was a nice fit however the dress is more flattering when fit to the body in my opinion. I am 5'2 and wore 4 inch heels and the dress just barely swept the floor, just perfectly. Ordered regular length. Love rent the runway, so easy and efficient. Thank you

zipper is tiny so really had to work at getting it up, other than that the fit was pretty true to size. dress was beautiful

This dress is amazing. It is SILVER lace though not white. I love it but it was way too long on me even with 5 inch heels. I decided to go with the other dress I rented but it was a tough decision because this dress is so glamourous. I felt like a movie star in it. It is definitely very fitted through the hips so if you have large hips I would recommend sizing up. It was a bit loose at the top but I have a small bust. It is not the easiest to move in due to it being so fitted. Overall I would rent this dress again for a formal function but in a 2R instead of a 2L.

I didn't end up wearing this dress.I'm a 6L but had to go up to a 8L because it was tight across the bust. It was cute but totally not my style. Not a fan of the pelum dress but decided to try this because it was a little different from a regular pelum dress. Not my style either!!!! LOL!!!! The dress is silver even though it looks white in the picture. Beautiful dress just not my style!!!!

The dress was beautiful. I ordered up based on the reviews, but found myself between sizes. The 4L was too tight on my hips, but the 6L just hung off of me. I didn't end up wearing this dress to my event.

The dress has absolutely no give. I have an athletic figure and this dress was not flattering on me. The hip area was too big on my normal size dress and the smaller size did not fit my rib cage. I had to return it unworn.

I wear a 6 skirt and 8 pants and jacket. Neither the 8 or 10 fit. I couldn't zip up my ribcage.

I rented this dress for a black tie masquerade ball because I really needed a silver dress to match my mask. I have to say, I was not a fan of this one AT ALL. I love a structured dress with a nice, thick fabric-- a lot of my favorite dresses by brands like Lela Rose or Tibi have that sort of fit. This dress on me at least had thick fabric but it didn't really hold me in or shape at all-- it just kind of hung there. I felt a bit like I was wearing a curtain. I also disagree with the comment by many reviewers that this dress runs small. I am somewhat curvy and bigger on top-- I wear a 6 top and a 2 bottom, typically. I was really swimming in the 8, both on top and bottom. If your cup size is why you usually size up on dresses, I would say there is no need to do that on this one. Order your regular size.

I usually wear a size 14 or 16 dress size, and have successfully worn several RTR dresses in the past. However, there is no give at all in this material. I ordered the 16 and couldn't even try to zip it up. It was a bummer because the dress is truly gorge. It is not exactly white, but not a true silver either, somewhere in between. I'm not sure it would have been an appropriate color for the formal affair I was attending anyway. It would be perfect for an engagement or rehearsal dinner, or perhaps a daytime formal affair... It gives a very bridal appearance. If I lost a significant amount of weight and got engaged, I would probably order again! :)
