I wore this dress for an awards banquet and received many compliments in the dress. I would highly recommend!

The dress is cut down to sin, but its still comfortable enough to dance the night away. The best part of the dress is the fishtail hem, so be sure to take full length photos. The 4L was just long enough to wear 2" inch heels, so if you're taller than 5'7, take note!

I probably could have worn a 2 but the size wasn't available. The 4R was loose but still fit well enough, allowed for more dancing!

This dress is absolutely gorgeous! I wore it to a benefit at an art museum that had a jazz/roaring 20's/ vintage theme. The material was beautiful and ornate. Although it had been worn before the dress was well cared for and there were very few snags or loose threads. There was a small rip in the lining below the zipper (that had obviously been fixed and re-torn) however it was barely noticeable and didn't effect how others saw the dress. I didn't think the trumpet style would be flattering, but the dress hugged all of my curves in the right places. It really fit like a glove. I wish I had ordered the long, as the hem was shorter than I had expected with three inch heels.

This dress is awesome but it definitely isn't skintight and in retrospect I wish I'd gone for a 4. The neckline is oddly baggy and extremely revealing but if you tape it, it can become a little more tasteful (I clearly didn't tape it enough). This dress was a backup but when I saw the gold accents in person I had to wear it, despite the weird fit. It looks dim in the picture but the dress is more gold than it looks. Even though it ran big it was easily fixed with a couple safety pins and was the perfect length with 4" heels. The neckline is clearly designed for taller people so if you're my height expect to either flaunt a lot of cleav or do some adjusting. Due to the back and the low front, a bra really isn't doable. I probably would rent this dress again.

Ordered a 4R and a 6R after reviews noted that it ran small. I actually ended up wearing the 6R with fashion tape along the v-neck and back to hold it in place. The 4R was actually a little tight and short too, after I put on 3" heels (I'm 5'4"). I felt so very glamorous for a "Dress to Impress" NYE event.

It fit well. It wasn't as clingy as I prefer . The glow it gave me was everything! I felt like a million bucks. I love this site cause that dress is so memorable I could never wear it again. I left a lasting impression . I can't wait to order again

I'll start with the bad because this dress was awesome otherwise... Cons: The shoulders were a little big and this dress was a little bit difficult to walk in with pointy heels because of the taffeta underneath. Pros: Everything else! It fit like a glove, looked beautiful in photos and presented a sense of elegance. Would definitely recommend. Many people asked about the dress and I was glad to pass on the good word of RtR!

I absolutely loved this dress! I wore it to a Gatsby-themed formal event at my law school. It's just like all the reviews say - the fabric is amazing, it's comfortable, but thick & slimming with a slight stretch. About the height: I debated whether I should get the R or the L and I'm 5'5". In the end I choose the L and I wish I didn't. I wore 5 inch heels and the R would have been the perfect length. But the dress was so beautiful, it's definitely 5 stars!

I originally ordered a different dress but was informed that it had been returned in such terrible shape that I would not be able to wear it. Rent the Runway let me then choose any dress that was available to compensate for the problem. This dress was amazing. The fit was almost perfect. It was a little loose in the bust but fit nicely in the bottom. I felt amazing in the dress and I was getting looks from everyone. I didn't want to give it back.

I felt like I was going to the academy awards. This dress was a definite showstopper. The material is VERY forgiving and even though it was tight I felt comfortable eating and drinking all night. Winner!

This dress was incredibly beautiful! I wore it to the Creative Arts Emmys, and I received compliments all night. The pattern on the dress and the material made it breathtaking. The quality of the dress was outstanding; it made you look and feel like a million bucks! It was also very comfortable. I ate and danced all night with no trouble! Again, great material!

I wore the 6R and it fit through my midsection perfectly. The dress is very low cut so be prepared to show off some skin! Even though the straps were a bit big for me it didn't matter...everybody loved it. The gold sequin is so beautiful and it truly is a dress that puts you in the center of attention. I rented this dress for a military ball, and it was perfect! I do recommend going down a size for your backup. I checked the designer's website for sizing, and by my measurements, I should have fit perfectly in a size 6. However, the 6 was way too big, so I wore a 4.

The top of this dress was really loose. I used fashion tape but it really didn't stay in place. The rest of the dress fit perfectly and was very flattering.

The dress was beautiful and well made, but SO low-cut! I was not prepared for that level of plunge! Fashion tape was helpful but I still felt a little uncomfortable since this was a work event. Not a modest dress!

I wore this dress to my Senior Prom. I had gotten another dress but because I was a size 8 in the top, and a 10 in the bottom, it just didn't work out. I got this dress in a 10 and it fit, although I did have to pin the straps a little tighter due to the low neckline. Overall, the dress fit the Gatsby Theme and I did get compliments on it. I got this in a 10L and I'm 5'5; I wore short heels due to the length of the dress.

Dress fit like a glove! Runs very true to size! I'm 5'2" and I got regular length and it just touch the ground with heels! So if ur taller get a taller length! Got many complements even from strangers! Got looks and smiles as well! Did show a lot of cleavage but I have a very long neck line a very little boobs :) I feel sad having to pack it up this morning and ship it back! Definitely made be feel stunning!!! Thanks RTR!!

Great fit overall

I note in my profile that I typically wear a size 4 dress and now I know why - usually there's a little give/stretch. Not in this one. And that was just fine. The 6L was long enough for my 5'8" frame and provided just enough give to comfortably sit down and dance, dance, dance!

I ordered the 4L and 6L, but the dresses delivered were regular length. I just wore short heels, and the 6 worked perfectly. The 4 would have fit, but it was a bit too short. This is a beautiful dress, very flattering. I highly recommend this dress! It was a replacement for the first dress I ordered, and I am SO glad I wore this one. Excellent customer service.

The dress is a little short - I ordered the 10L and still had to wear flats. However since my dear husband is shorter than me he appreciated that we have one picture where we appear the same height. I am only 5'1" and, amazingly, did not need to hem the size 2R dress when I wore it with a 3 1/2 inch heel. I'm also very curvy, with a 32DD bust and curvy hips ...a true hour glass. This dress fit just right and you really could wear a standard bra. However, the bra should be a demi or slightly less coverage than a "full-coverage" bra. The dress had a deep vee, but not so deep that I felt my girls would pop out. I felt secure and just used a bit of fashion tape to make sure I felt extra confident. My friends were very impressed with how great this dress looked considering it was a rental. The inner black lining was a bit frayed, but only someone looking for the imperfection would find it. I will definitely rent a dress again.

The dress was so comfortable! Every bridesmaid wore a different dress from rent the runway and loved them all!

We began with Dinner at the French room, (one of the most exclusive restaurants in town), then headed over to the Myerson for a night at the symphony. I received so many compliments throughout the evening and the jewelry topped off this beautiful gown which complimented my shape and complexion perfectly. The dress was versatile enough for transitioning from formal to party scene at Cloud 9 atop the Reunion Tower where we brought in 2014!! The size 4 was a little big for me and was damaged at the inner hem of the gown so I was grateful the 2R fit well. It was a little snug in the hips limiting my dance mobility but overall a perfect fit.

I rented this dress as a back up to my black badgley mischka dress..my cousin came up from down south and her dress still hadn't been delivered. I actually liked this dress but was in love with my badgley mischka so I let her wear this and it fit her like a models dream. it was perfect for her. only con to this was the back of the straps kept bunching up. Brought the fabric tape and forgot to let her hold it. but it was still beautiful on her and she loved it and felt like a star. our grandmother was so proud to call us her granddaughters.

The fit and length were perfect for me. I was little concerned about the neckline because I am a 32DD but it was perfect, nothing at all to worry about. The dress photographed great too!

I don't consider myself a 4 but it fit perfectly through the top and hips. Fabric is very good - no bunching or tugging. Other reviewers are correct - it does run short. With 3" heels, the long just skimmed the ground. And the liner does hang below the dress length so I used tape to secure it.

The gold and black textured fabric is gorgeous! The shape is close to the body and has some give to it. The neckline in both front and back plunges very low, yet I could wear a regular bra under it. I'm 5'8" and got the "long" length; wore it with 3" heels and it was just right. I was complimented all evening long and really enjoyed wearing this dress!

I did go to the Rent the Runway showroom and tried this dress on before I rented it. I was surprised that the girl recommended I rent the 4L and not the 4R. I trusted her judgement and I was glad I did. At 5'5" and with 3 1/2" heels the dress was the perfect length. The gold part dress does have stretch in it which allows it a body hugging fit. There is an attached black slip under the dress which does not have as much give as the gold part of the dress. The worst thing about the dress? I had to return it! I loved it so much and it was very comfortable.

I wore this dress for a black tie military wedding, and it was beyond perfect. I received so many compliments on it, even in the days following the event. I felt confident and sexy--like a million bucks! I initially ordered the 8R and 10R; the 8R was way too short. My toes were sticking out even without shoes! The 10R was the right length, but too loose on the top. The customer service was awesome and they overnighted the 8L to a different location since we were changing hotels for the next day. The 8L was much longer but it worked fine with 5" heels. I wore one of those multi-way bras and lowered the back strap to wrap around my waist and didn't have to mess with the bra at all--the bra fasteners in the dress straps were key! This dress flaunts your assets, so make sure you wear a bra that gives you an amount of cleavage you're comfortable with and can manage throughout the night. I would highly recommend this dress!

This was a 2nd backup dress. Im in between sizes with a lotcof recent weight loss so its hard to gauge whether Im a 12 or 14 these days. My fisrt dress selections were both tight in the rib cage so I wore this CMV- my unassuming backup. Im 5'11" so even with my 4" heels I still looked good. Ive never felt so pretty in a dress before or in a dress that fit so well. The RTR experiencewas overall fantastic. ....will definitely rent from RTR again.
